Definitely Worth Your Time
If you have not had a chance to see Ricky Gervais present the top ten list from Letterman last night, you really should spend three minutes now doing so. Hilarious.

When *are* they going to come pick up Posh and Becks?
ReplyDeleteagreed, kellylynn.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I happen to LOVE natural teeth. So much more character. As long as they are cared for properly.
I have a Brit fetish too, so maybe I'm a weirdo.
You're not a weirdo. Real teeth > chicklet teeth any day.
ReplyDeleteWhen you guys collect Madonna.
ReplyDelete*LOL* I worked in London for a while and picked up the british accent. Then I went to San Francisco for college, and on my first or second day I told someone I was going to go outside and smoke a fag.
ReplyDeleteGold.
I am Australian, is that close enough for anglo-adoration?:)

ReplyDeleteI have long been a devotee of the UK version of "the office" and love Ricky Gervais' humor, even if i dont like his personality.
ReplyDeleteTouche, ms_wonderland.
ReplyDeleteWould it be okay if we just picked up Guy Ritchie instead?
I'm British and the thing that American tourists always say that gets me is that a lot of them seem to think 'England' is the name for the whole country and they forget about Scotland, wales and Northern ireland. For example I live in edinburgh (scotland) and whenever i meet american tourists guaranteed 50% of them will think they are still in england.
ReplyDeleteBut i guess most british people don't know where any states are, so i guess its even.
I wouldn't mind trading for Guy Ritchie. Good idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Enty. It's a cold, damp day in suburban NJ and I needed the laugh.
I won't complain too much as I am on vacation tommorrow.
I heart Ricky Gervais too. I just don't think about how he's supposed to be a jerk. The BBC Office rules!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this Enty!
I saw the headline earlier on a Brit website and thought, "Egad! More Yankee bashing!" but then I saw the clip and just roared!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI cringed throughout that. After seeing him many, many times on chat shows over here, that seemed dreadfully false and forced thereby taking away any of the comedic value. Sad :(
ReplyDeletebeing a brit, i've actually heard a couple of those things ...
ReplyDeleteAs a Canadian, we're not immune to silly questions from tourists. I've heard some doozies.
ReplyDelete"Do you live in Igloos" is my favourite. Along with "are there polar bears in the streets?"
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I were at his cousin's house in Iowa. Friends of his came over. Husband was talking away with the man and he suddenly turned to the cousin and said, "Hey, he speaks American really well!"
ReplyDeleteHe's going to be on Actor's Studio on Bravo. Ya know he'll be skewering all the 'consumate' actors that are invited on,
ReplyDeletetalented or not.
Can't wait.
