I don't usually go back and talk about events that happened on Fridays when I start writing on Monday's, but I thought I would make an exception for this one. Unfortunately on Friday by the time I heard about George Hamilton on The View, I was already on drink number four I think and there was no way I was firing up the computer.
Did you hear about George Hamilton talking about his autobiography on the show? Well, apparently besides giving tanning tips and how to keep alive a career with no discernible work for twenty years, George talks about an affair he had with his step-mother. She was about 30 and he was 12. George says it was perfectly normal and that he saw nothing strange in it at all.
"My father never knew about it. It was very normal. She didn't make me feel bad about it. Was I molested? Damn, I'm down for it again. But the bottom line is it didn't feel abnormal."
In what world is it very normal for a 30 year old to go around having sex with a 12 year old? I think that George Hamilton just has two sons, and from the sounds of it, he really wouldn't mind if they had been having sex since they were 8, and probably hired someone to make sure they did. One of his kids was with Alana Stewart who married Rod Stewart. Lets say, that instead of a boy, he had a girl and Rod Stewart who is 30 years old and George's daughter is 12 decide they are going to have sex. George is going to be ok with this? Hello no he wouldn't and all he is doing by going on The View and saying that he loved it was to encourage a bunch of 30 year old guys who are sitting at home watching The View because they have no job or life to find some 12 year old girl because it is very normal.
A 30 year old having sex with a 12 year old is a crime for a reason. It is not something to joke about or have fun with. I think it says a lot about the situation that George decided to have sex with the woman again when he was of age after his father had died. Normal again? I don't think so. Watch George laugh his way right through talking about the incident.

no males in my family were taken to an older female to have sex for the first time. what bullshit.
ReplyDeletefrom his point of view it was crazy, but that's probably because he has no morals. what a fucked up situation.
I wish someone on the view had asked the question Ent did. "So if you had a stepdaughter who was 12, would you think it's ok to sleep with her?"
ReplyDeletethat should have been 'wasn't crazy'.
ReplyDeleteGeorge is disgusting to think it was something to laugh about.
ReplyDeleteAbsofuckinglutely NOTHING normal about that situation... I can't even fathom sleeping with a 12 year old boy when I was 30. Hell, I'm 36 now, and I couldn't even fathom sleeping with an 18 year old either... Seriously!
ReplyDeleteNo, no, no. Uh-uh! Not right...
Downright yucky!
Hell I'm only 24 and I won't fuck anyone younger than me, period. Maaaaybe if they were super cute and at least over 21.
ReplyDeleteI feel like a pedophile looking at sexy pictures of any guy under 30 or so. :)
ReplyDeleteMy son is 12 and the thought of anyone doing that to him or his friends is revolting, to say the least. That is 1 sick woman.
ReplyDeleteIf we want examples where the tables were turned, look at the scorn placed on female teachers who have had sexual relations with their teen students. In many of those cases, the age difference is much less than in George Hamilton's case.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is less than two years away from 12. The idea of some grown man in the near future "showing her the ropes", so to speak, sickens me. Even if someone is physically mature, it doesn't mean they are mentally ready to handle sexual relations. There's so much more to having sex than just having sex.
Gross on so many levels. Grossed out when I saw this but it says a lot that he thinks it's normal. Also, to go where your dad has been hittin it is so boudaryless as well. It is funny when these older guys say things they think will make them look like a stud but instead they look like morons.
ReplyDeletefuck i love joy. thats gonna be me in about 20 years.
ReplyDeleteI think the guy is trying to sell books and will say anything to get himself some attention. Seems to be working.
ReplyDeleteewww, just ewwww.
ReplyDeletethis is so WEIRD! And he just cackles through the whole discussion. How is this normal?
ReplyDeleteGod I thought his tanning fixation was strange ,but this takes it to a whole new level..
Right, so in George's world women can't be paedos? That must be a happy place...
ReplyDeleteWhether the victim enjoyed it or not, its still a crime. There's a reason why minors can't consent.
I was waiting for the audible gasp from the audience. Where was it? His son's comedy seemed rather forced.
ReplyDeleteOn one hand, I'm kind of glad for his sake that he doesn't feel as if his life was ruined by what went on, but daaaaaamn, that's just not right! While I could kinda see a young boy thinking "WOW! I get to score with this hot older woman!", I can't imagine WTF she was thinking--and to do it again a few years later?!? Hey, I admit I like younger men, but at my age they need to be at least 30 and have had enough life experience to have some smarts and sense. (I believe the rule of thumb is "Never date a man if you're old enough to be his mama, or if you've dated his daddy." :-) Hello? 12-year-old boys are just wrong, wrong, wrong!...*bangs head against wall*
ReplyDeleteI'm not trying to defend George or anything, but let's look at his age and the time he grew up in. I remember my uncles (same age as George) talking about going to the whorehouses in Mexico as young boys of 12-13. Come to find out, boys growning up in the 50's were little pervs!!! The craziest thing I've ever seen or heard was when one of my uncles told me about a girl he was dating back in high school. 14 year old girl. He went to her house one day to see her, and saw all these huge lights around her bedroom. Asked her what was going on, she said "nothing, just taking pictures.' Fast forward30 odd years. My uncle found some "bootleg" porn reel-to-reel tapes, and on one was his girlfriend in her bedroom with some man, with the lights shining on them!!!
ReplyDeleteHow I know this is true, I saw the tape!!! Like I said, men from that era were raised differently, and they are pervs!!! Sick but true.
LittleOleMe, I agree. I think the story's bogus.
