Well It Won't Be About Her Towels

Mariah Carey is a little scared right now. No, Nick Cannon didn't escape from his leash so don't worry about that. What she is actually worried about is her former record producer Damion Young who worked with Mariah for four years is writing a tell-all-book. My first response is that if you were Mariah's record producer for four years and need to make money from a tell-all book you must have a serious drug, gambling, or ex-wife problem. There is no way he should need the money, but I'm glad he does.

I don't think it's going to be a book about her fastidious toilet habits or towel fetishes. In the proposal the NY Post obtained, the book will discuss their four year personal relationship and what they worked diligently to disguise from the world's press. Well you know it isn't something like a dick, so to me that leaves drugs, pregnancies, a broken fingernail. I really don't know.

Whatever it is though, Mariah is pretty pissed and plenty worried and his turned her lawyers loose. They needed something to do after putting Nick in his cage and telling him where to sign. Mariah's people are saying that Damion has signed confidentiality agreements and should honor them. I'm not so sure that is going to work in this case, and in any event, no matter what happens to the book, the stories will make their way out. Ooooh, I know. Mariah Carey is Xenu. That would be a good one.

  1. Ooooooh...is he going to sing, "Girl, You Know It's True"? That was a hit song for another group---might just fit for him and Mariah...

  3. So which four years are we talking about? Because if it's somewhere in, say, the Butterfly-Charmbracelet era we are going to hear a whole different kind of dirt than if it were at some point in the Mariah Carey-Daydream era.

  5. jax: Good question.

Did he have a romantic relationship with Mariah? It's probably just about all her craziness. Remember she had that break with reality?

  6. "...worked diligently to disguise from the world's press" reminds me of that blind of some world famous singer who really has someone else sing her vocals; that person got cancer, and the so-called famous singer visited her.

However, I don't think that was Mariah because she comes from a singing family and I think she can prove her vocals are her own.

So perhaps they did work hard to disguise a mental illness; however, in Britney's case, it only helped her career to finally come clean about it.

    About the Benny Medina thing.

Word has it his Hollywoods BIGGEST diva. Some even say that part of, or even most of if not all, J.Lo's outrageous demands during her heyday, were actually Benny's. And its said thats partially why she fired him, because it destroyed her image and cost too much money.

  11. meh. i was so disappointed in the cruise tell-all.

didn't she marry her manager back in the day? i wasn't a fan, and have only been hitting the gossip blogs for about 4 years or so.

  12. It won't happen, Mariah has an amazing set of Fixers who can make anything disappear, including her prostitution past and her HIV + sister. She will pay him off or buy the manuscript, she can afford to do this.

  13. My thought exactly, Jax. Ent does seem a little blase' about it, though, so probably not.
