Four For Friday - And An Update From AP

So after AP saw the post yesterday in the blind items, she called me and wanted me to let all of you know that she has tried to call the girl everyday since it happened. Although she has left lots of messages, and sent numerous texts, she has only had one text back and it just said basically that everything was fine, and she had been having a bad day. Uh huh. AP promises to keep bugging her everyday. She, as you know is persistent about things, so I have no doubts she will stay on this.

#1 - To show that not all men behave badly, I thought I would share this little kindness about a B- list comic film actor with a franchise which you would think would make him A list under the rules, but, then you would all laugh. So, anyway, our actor when he goes to dinner parties at restaurants or even at the houses of friends, has all the doggie bags given to him, and passes them all out to homeless people he sees on the way home. In addition to that, he will also raid the dinner parties for extra food and bring it to homeless shelters to serve.

#2 & 3 - This national political candidate and current politician isn't shy about using his new power to get what he wants, and what he wants are some actresses to be his special contributor. Whenever he speaks at a fundraiser, he takes the opportunity to hit on as many actresses as he can. So far, only one has taken him up on his offer. After a recent cocktail event, he left, and she followed about an hour later. Who is she? Wow. C+ list films, but with some A list name recognition due to her body. Not the sharpest tool in the shed because she really is doing it because she thinks it is a good way to support the candidate.

#4 - This closet lesbian B+ list lead actress on a hit network drama almost let the cat out of the bag so to speak. She had a little too much to drink and was finding the woman she was talking to attractive. She thought the other woman also played for the same team and so started flirting fairly aggressively. The woman however was straight, and also was rather loud about her shock in discovering our actress was a lesbian to the point where people noticed.

  1. God bless you (and Mr. #1) Enty, I needed a kindness today.

I don't know if they all do this, but my Starbucks lets people pick up their day-old pastries to take to homeless shelters.

I'm too tired to guess today. :)

  3. Are we supposed to think that #2 is so obvious? I don't want to think it, but it definitely sounds like Obama and Scarlett. She doesn't make great movies but is popular for her rack. But I soooo want to like him all-around.

I don't know about the others now.

    ReplyDelete
  4. 1. Steve Carrell
2/3. Hmmm I don't want to say Obama but the actress could be Vivica Fox
4.Sara Ramirez or Ali Larter always gave me lesbian vibes

  5. 1. The you might be a redneck guy?
    2. Ick! 3. Stupid!
    4. Don't hate me for saying this - Emily Dechanel? sp or I like Sara Ramirez, but she's not the lead in that show.

  6. #4 That Private Practice girl. Too lazy to look name up.

    ReplyDelete
  7. #1. That's very cool of him - I wonder what prompted him to start and to continue. Maybe he was that hungry in his past.

#2. lol First thought was Jessica Alba / Obama - but I think Ent would say married actress.

    #3. Kate Walsh

    I second the Obama/Scarlett guess.

    ReplyDelete
  9. 1- I'm stumped
    2-Obama & Alba
    3-Kate Walsh

    ReplyDelete
  10. Okay, folks, really. First, Scarlett has more than "some" A list recognition. Second, she's done more than C+ list films. Now you're just being silly. There's no way this one's her, as much as you might want it to be!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I don't think Obama is attractive/charismatic enough to hit on actresses. But I could be wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  12. 1. I was thinking Rob Schneider because he was on a TV show called "Men Behaving Badly." He was also in the Deuce Bigalow movies--are two movies considered a franchise?

    2. Not sure.

    3. I'll go with Kate Walsh on this one.

    ReplyDelete
  13. What are the national races? Just Pres & VP? Could it be someone who ran for president but did not get the nom? If not, there are only 3 choices . . .

    ReplyDelete
  14. I second the Rob Schneider guess. Some franchise!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Come on guys, read closer. Ent said the politico is striking out and can only get a C+ lister. What Hollywood babe would say no to Obama? They'd line up for a chance with him.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I wonder if the people who go to Starbucks to pick up their day-old pastries really are taking them to take to homeless shelters. I bet if you walk far enough down the street, you'll see the person stuffing a lemon loaf in their kisser.

As for the homeless doggie bags, that truly is a kindness.

    ReplyDelete
  17. 1. Yeah, Schneider was my first guess.

    ReplyDelete
  18. 1-Eugene Levy (American Pie)
    2- ?
3- Lucy Liu, hitting on Kate Walsh at the Trump Party. I can from the posts above why she was surprised by the reaction. There is a photo of the 2 with LL giving KW the puppy eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  19. #2 Joe Biden?
#3 Heather Graham (because of the "not the sharpest tool in the shed" mention but she has also done TV)

    ReplyDelete
  20. 1. Ben Stiller (meet the parents/meet the fockers)
    2. McCain and Eva Mendez or Rosario Dawson. Both were at the RNP last week.
    3. Kate Walsh...why not?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I hope #1 is making the doggie bags from the leftovers in the MAIN dishes and not from leftovers on people's plates.

It's unacceptable & disgusting to give someone leftovers from their plate.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Grace, Starbucks don't give their day-olds to random people. They are given to pre-arranged charitable organizations who pick them up (except items with cheese & meat) at end of day.

Most companies have a policy that they have to take everything every day.

    ReplyDelete
  23. #2 #3 story is BS, but if it were true I guess Obama & Jessica Alba is my guess, they fit. She's definitely a dumbass and her movies are eh.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I don't think the politician is Obama. You don't think the GOP is trailing his EVERY move?! If he so much as poses for a photograph with someone like ScarJo or Jess Alba, some insidious little conservative tabloid "source" is going to tip off the McCain organizers and make up a shitton of lies. Because that's how they roll.

I think it's a lesser-known Governor or someone in support of McCain or Obama. I'm loathe to think it's a Democrat, but it probably is, based on the overwhelming support the Dem party gets from Hollywood.

I don't want to think it's Mark Warner, but...it might be. Someone toss out some other names. Please! But I REALLY don't think it's Obama, people.

And I don't think Scarlett's the actress, either. She's definitely higher than a C. She's A-list, probably, even though she sucks.

Heather Graham also popped in my head as the other actress. She strikes me as pretty stupid, but she does have a pretty amazing body.

I don't know about the other ones, but Lucy Liu and Kate Walsh make sense. Sure!

    ReplyDelete

i dont want to say obama for #3but the actress could be scarlet johanson.

  26. seconding what ms. said about the food #1 was giving to homeless. tho i will say that i live in berkeley, ca and many times have given half a burito or whatev to a homeless person. i think that when you are hungry, sometimes you take what you can get. and i also know they are going to eat something, instead of taking the money i give and getting drunk/high with it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. oh! and seconding the heather graham thang, thought of her immediatly. but but but this is not obama. those mean republicans would have his ass in a sling for that shit.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Biden and Jessica Simpson(His teeth scare me).

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anonymous3:44 PM

#4 - whoever she is, she can do a lot better than what she was hitting on. I can hear it now "OMG you're a LESBIAN??? OMG I can't BELIEVE it!!!"

    classy.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I agree with pk on 2/3...there's no way that's any of the current President/VP candidates...

I like the Ben Stller guess for #1...I was also thinking about Mike Meyers ann Jim Carrey

    ReplyDelete
  31. For #2, it does not say CURRENT national candidate. It could be anyone who's run for national office who is also a current politician. John Edwards (already cheated on his cancer-ridden wife, so...), John Kerry is still a senator, Lieberman is a senator, Richardson is a governor, Kucinich is a representative.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous4:22 PM

andrea - you think Kucinich could strike gold twice and get a hot actress in addition to his pin-up wife?

Ben Stiller's too self-centered to be #1, also probably closer to A-List these days. Rob Schneider (Deuce Bigalow movies = franchise, and the "Men Behaving Badly") was my guess, good for him. When you look that goofy and get routinely bashed, it's awesome that he's not bitter and just a good person.

#2/3 - Obama/Scarlett was my hunch as well, but I agree that it would've been more than "texting" that the GOP would've outed. No clue.

    #4 - no clue.

    ReplyDelete
  33. is mark warner a national candidate?

or was he? i don't think so.

if it's obama i'll be so disappointed. not that we'll ever find out. the reveal will probably be half revealed like so many in the past.

  34. ok, I am changing my answer a little. I am going with Mike Huckabee and Jessica Simpson.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous5:13 PM

i do the same thing, Jasmine.

    Literally, beggars can't be choosers.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Rob Schneider or Chris Tucker for #1.

Nationally, only the VP and President get elected (Although, techinically, we don't pick them, the electoral college does). So this is someone who was or is in one of those races. The House and the Senate get elected locally and statewide. So it can't be anyone who is running or ran for those offices.

There was a cocktail event during the RNC.

Sarah "North Slope" Palin and Eva Mendez. Hope Eva used protection, those Palin's are fertile.

    ReplyDelete
  37. 1. Rob Schneider. Most of the others that have been mentioned have more "respectable" franchises. Also, he seems like a decent human being.

    2. I think Andrea makes a good point. Enty says "current politician," not "current national political candidate." I'm inclined to think it's one of the Republican rejects. Mitt Romney?

    3. Haven't a clue who the actress is.

    4. I am going to disagree with the Kate Walsh guesses. I think Enty would have mentioned that she was married in the BI if it were here.

Is Sara Ramirez B+? Ditto on Ali Larter.

Evangeline Lilly seems like a reasonable guess, especially considering everyone said she was Dominic Monaghan.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think I fell asleep while typing my comment...

    1. Based on Enty's comment and his criteria for A list, Rob Schneider seemingly fits with his franchise. However, the notion that he actually is is rather laughable.

    4. ...considering everyone said Lilly was Dominic Monghan's beard.

  39. for what it's worth...

i worked at a bakery here in Philly for awhile. at the end of the night, we boxed up all the unused food and gave it to a community food bank.

we didnt give it to just anyone. it was a volunteer from the organization and someone we knew on a regular basis. we spoke several times with the director of the place, on the phone and in person, so we knew it was going there and the person was bringing it there.

i know this means nothing in regards to the guesses because i have no guesses as of yet for this BI, but I mention it because i am hoping that other places have some kind of organization and discipline in place in regards to food. we had to do this in keeping with the board of health.

ok. enjoy your weekend. and stay dry if you are on the east coast.

  41. 2. This is very obvious to me- Bill Clinton - The clue doesn't say "current" national candidate, but it DOES say "current" politician. He fits that description to a T, and has been at fundraising events for his wife. His reputation as a horn dog is well known :-P.

As far as #3? no clue...I would guess Pamela Anderson, but she is more known for TV than movies...

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think it's Heidi Montag and Sarah Palin :)

Seriously, though, I do not think it's Obama. He just doesn't give off the cheater vibe to me.

National could simply mean someone who is in the house or senate. We do not call those local politicians, correct? In that case there are literally hundreds of options.

Lieberman? Man, what a gross thought.

I could picture it being Romney.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Anyone else notice the caption for Tara Reid's photo today? I think that pretty much settles that she's the one who's been escorting, but I suppose it was obvious anyhow.

    ReplyDelete
  44. The politician isn't shy about using his NEW POWER. National candidate and current politician. National candidate= vp or prez. current politician= all of them are current-Obama, Biden and McCain are all senators currently. The NEW POWER deal makes me think of Obama. All this attention and his many fans may have gone to his head. He is in heavy with Hollywood. Not everyone would drop panties for the guy. No one would want to be caught up in that kind of scandal.

Scarlett hasn't really done anything spectacular movies wise. Her name is more well known than her resume. Definitely is known more for her body. Alba wouldn't surprise me either but with her just recently giving birth and all....I don't know.

  47. See if the clues fit anyone. Trying Bill Clinton

national political candidate - no time frame given - could be Bill Clinton, a past candidate who is still nationally known

and current politician - time frame given - do you have to be holding office or just be involved in politics to be a current politician - would you call Bill Clinton a politician even if he isn’t holding office now

his new power - source of power not identified - doesn’t say it comes from a position he holds, but it could be Bill Clinton’s connection to his wife Hillary, and Hillary being in a powerful position compared to other Democratic Senators because of her strong following in the Democratic Party

actresses to be his special contributor + hit on as many actresses as he can - Bill Clinton doesn't have a squeaky clean reputation

speaks at a fundraiser - Bill Clinton does lots of fundraisers, and has raised money for Hillary’s campaign

recent cocktail event - common political fundraiser event - Bill attends cocktail parties

C+ list films, but with some A list name recognition due to her body - ?? Bill Clinton and Gina Gershon both denied the June 2008 Vanity Fair article suggesting they were having an affair

good way to support the candidate - which candidate - is it the same male national political candidate from the beginning of the BI (e.g. Bill) or could it be his spouse who is a candidate (Hillary) or to support Barack Obama who the Clintons publicly supported at the Democratic National Convention

    ReplyDelete
  48. recent cocktail event - well, it's not recent but in 1988 Gina Gershon had a small role in the movie Cocktail

  49. Molly...as a constituent in Ron Paul's district, can I please say that I WISH he'd go away!?! The man is an unmitigated disaster and we just can't get rid of him.

Somehow I don't think this one's Obama, I can't imagine Michelle letting him get away with it.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh, Enty; thanks so much for making my heart smile with the Rob Schneider item! No one ever says anything nice about him, and he deserves something good at least once (and this is GREAT)!

We've only got two Asian leading men in Hollywood, and we've got to show Hollywood we support them! (I love me some Asian men!)

  52. Anonymous9:43 PM

    # 2 really does sound like Obama/Scarlett. Someone mentioned that ScarJo has A recognition, but not A films. I agree. She has big films, but nothing blockbuster or monumental. There's no defining ScarJo acting moment.

That being said - I also think you are all right about it being picked up by the GOP. Then again - a lot these cocktail affairs are extremely private and peppered with only Liberal Dems with money and/or fame. There wouldn't BE any GOP at the event.

    ReplyDelete
  53. think New power rules out Biden, and certainly Bill Clinton..gotta be Obama, and I think he could keep a lot hidden..the press would rather pass on a Brangelina exclusive than print anything questionable about his behavior.

    ReplyDelete
  54. 4. Kate Walsh....she's B+, she's the lead in Peak Practice or whatever that show's called and she's known to be gay despite being married.

Although, I gotta agree with everyone about Ali Larter having a gay vibe about her. Can't explain it, but it's there...

    ReplyDelete
  55. 1 - no idea. Comic actors I can think of are Seth Rogan, Robin Williams (he's seriously slipping in the listings), Harold & Kumar's duo, even Kevin Smith. I can't say any of them are B list other than Robin based upon their quality of work of late (or lack there of). Who ever it is deserves a gold star for not being a shit, and actually thinking of less fortunate people than himself.

2 is the second coming of God (if you judged by his press)- Obama. 3 has got to be that idiot ScarJo. Her standards aren't known to be great.

4 - No clue. I shall leave the guesses up to those more in the know.

    ReplyDelete
  56. 2. The "national candidate" and "current politician" probably isn't one of the current candidates. Using "current" in front of "politician" but not in front of "candidate" is probably a clue. Otherwise, I would say John McCain and that actress from the Hills. He cheated on his first wife so he might well be doing it still.

So maybe someone who was a candidate in the primaries? That's a pretty wide open field. Maybe Rudy Giuliani? He's been around the block a few times.

Could also be Bill Clinton, but I don't think it would be newsworthy if he schtupped someone.

    ReplyDelete
  57. "ting" Pierce Brosnan, Remington Steele

    ReplyDelete
  58. Anonymous8:06 AM

It sounds like the person is no longer a national candidate, but is still a politician and a male. This would rule out Biden, Obama, and McCain.

    Edwards-seems highly possible
    Richardson
    Dodd (doubt it)
    Kucinich- ?
    Romney (doubt it)
    Huckabee (doubt it)
    Ron Paul- ?
Giuliani-again, seems highly possible, and I think you could still call him a politician
    Fred Thompson- ?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Anonymous8:31 AM

None of those guys have "new power".

As much as I am sure Obama couldn't get away with it, I can't find another national candidate in the past decade who has NEW power, is still a current politician who fits the bill.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Brendalove, no kidding!

I'm not trying to revive the argument or anything, but I was thinking about the Scarlett/Barack guess. I also don't think that you'd describe her films as C+, (I'd say at least B-) but you've gotta admit, that is a really fun guess, no matter how off-base it may be! :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Jasmine, why not buy the homeless person a new burrito if you don't want to give them money? It's about respect. Would you give a co-worker a 1/2 eaten burrito? No?

Not good enough for your friend or co-worker, it's not good enough for someone who is down and out. Period.

A local food bank director gave an interview on this very subject a few years ago. They regularly turn down donations of new jarred & boxed items that have just passed the 'Best Before' date - (jarred mayo, boxed cereal etc) because if it isn't good enough for the regular population, why is it considered good enough for the poor? It's about respect, not just safety.

He also touched upon the issue of giving 1/2 eaten meals to the poor & homeless. Yes, they're hungry, but it doesn't mean they should be treated disrespectfully.

Jasmine, I understand your intent is kindness, not disrespect, but if you feel that strongly about feeding someone, buy them a meal.

We don't know what the future holds and a lot of us are one paycheque away from being homeless. Would you want to eat an item that had been handled and 1/2 eaten by someone else?

    ReplyDelete
  62. p.s. Good for AP for being so persistent. Not everyone would try to help someone in trouble, and even fewer people would stick with it like that. She'd be a good friend to have, no matter how often she stole your car. :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. @Ms: Plenty of homeless people eat out of trash cans. Wouldn't you rather they ate out of a doggy bag (the uneaten food off a dinner table) than a festering rind of a McDonalds hamburger bun they found rotting in the trash? Have a heart. If it's the choice between nothing and the dinner rolls that guests didn't eat, I'd rather they have the latter.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Anonymous9:06 AM

I'm going to go on a limb and say that #1 is Jason Biggs.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Howard Dean was a former national political candidate and is now the head of the DNC. He does tons of fundraisers. I can see him doing this.

Any fool with half a brain can see that Obama and his wife actually have a true marriage and that he doesn't cheat. It's rare, but it does exist!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Leftover dinner rolls in a basket is different than a half-eaten food on someone's plate. I have no issue with leftovers from the main serving vessel, but certainly do from food on someone's plate.

Something is better than nothing. Agreed. But why not eat your own leftovers and purchase an inexpensive item for the homeless person you are concerned about?

    ReplyDelete
  67. @ Binkym - for the record, I practice what I preach. Lots of homeless people in my neighbourhood and I don't give them money because, I too don't want my donations spent on drugs/alcohol. However, I have purchased prepared food for some of them from my local grocery store. Again, it's about respect in the broadest sense of the word.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Ms--it is like on Seinfeld when Elaine wanted to give all the muffin
stumps to the homeless, Rebecca DeMornay wanted to know where the tops were!

    ReplyDelete
  69. @Ms: I also buy meals for individuals in my neighborhood when I'm able to, but there are so many of them, it's simply not practical to feed them all, so I frequently bring them my leftovers. There are a lot of crack whores, many of whom are pregnant, and I can't bear to see them eating from the Taco Bell and Pizza Hut trash can out in front of that store, so I bring them what I can, which is often sushi, unfortunately, and I know they're not really happy about it, but they greedily eat it anyway because it's better than the rotted pizza crusts. (I'm pretty sure that accounts for a majority of the vomit I see around the trash cans.) In the day time, when I'm able to locate just a sngle girl, then I'll take her into a restaurant and buy her a meal, but at night, when they're out in droves, I simply can't afford to herd them all into a restaurant (and they aren't welcome, either; I found that one out the hard way).

That's why I think it's great Rob Schneider's doing what he's doing; I'll bet most celebs don't even stop to think about the homeless. (After looking at Oprah's appalling and galling Montecito home home here the other day, I'm damned sure SHE doesn't; after all, she has no concept about her water bill, for crying out loud!)

    ReplyDelete
  70. @ms;
after one of my trips downtown to pick up the club's tickets, i treated myself to a bob's big boy. i ate half of it and very little of the fries. as i left, i noticed a man stopping people outside the restaurant. as i went buy, he asked if he could have my left overs. i told him i had eaten half of it, i'd be more than happy to buy him a meal. no, he only wanted the left overs, and was very happy to have them.
i also believe an act of charity begins with opening your heart and ends when the exchange is made. once i hand someone a dollar, it is no longer my responsibility to decide how that dollar is spent. if that person decides to spend it on food, drugs, alcohol, or whatever, it's not up to me, i've done my good deed. *puts soapbox away*

now, as to #2, i'm going to guess edwards. known cheater, and i just read that his speaking fees have actually gone UP since the news of his affair broke.no idea on the actress.

#1, i don't know if you can call it a franchise, but i want to say adam sandler. all the same people are always in his films, maybe that counts. but i remember when a stuntman was hurt on his movie set a few months ago, he stopped filming and went to the hospital to make sure he was alright (i think i read about that here?) .
i sure hope that poor girl's controlling boyfriend doesn't find AP's messages. but i'm proud of AP for trying to help!

    ReplyDelete
  71. oooooh i like the Jason Biggs guess! American Pie actually is a franchise, unlike Rob Schneider/Adam Sandler movies.

That or Chris Tucker/Jackie Chan w/ Rush Hour.

I think this whole food donation argument is silly. If a homeless person wants your half eaten burrito, then give it to them. If they dont, they will let you know.

I eat my friend's leftovers all the time and dont feel disrespected, but hey, whatevs. Staying out of it. Time for a group hug.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I like the Howard Dean guess as well for the candidate.

    ReplyDelete
  73. @Laura: It's Rob Schneider, because he's got the "Deuce Bigelow" franchise, which makes him a "B- list comic film actor with a franchise which you would think would make him A list under the rules, but, then you would all laugh." He starred in the "Men Behaving Badly" sitcom.

    ReplyDelete
  74. is two movies a franchise? I always think of a franchise as three or more.

    ReplyDelete
  75. @Laura: Exactly. Hence the "then you would all laugh"!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Binkym-we'll agree to disagree...and wait for the reveals. Then you can 'nyah nyah nyah' me.

I'm sticking with Jason Biggs/Jackie Chan

    ReplyDelete
  77. @Laura: But they didn't star on "Men Behaving Badly," and they have real franchises.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I still dont think anyone would consider Jason Biggs A-list. C-list, at best. Thus, the laughing.

    ReplyDelete
  79. God, I hate these political blinds.

It's one thing to hint and wink towards inconsequential celebrities but to actually start turning on politicians - in an extremely crucial election I might add - into part of this game, goes a bit far. Don't believe me? See the comments above. Here's a choice pick:

"But I soooo want to like him all-around."

Democrat, Republican, Libertarian or Independent, we should have a bit more sense than to give these nattering baubles any credence.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Regarding #2. I can't imagine that Obama would be stupid enough to risk everything to hit on celebrities. Plus, it says he hasn't had any takers till now. Don't you think, given how everyone gushes over him, that no one would take him up on the offer? It can't be him. Same with Romney. Be you liberal or conservative, you can't deny the man is gorgeous. I would think he'd have takers. Same with Clinton - he wouldn't have to hit on too many before he'd score.

Considering celebrities are all about the Democrats, it must be one of them who are mingling with celebs.

I said Biden because he is newly in the spotlight after many years in the shadows due to his own scandals, and at his age, might not have many takers.

But now I'm thinking Howard Dean. He was a national candidate (prez, 2004) and is currently chairman of the DNC - "current politician".

    ReplyDelete

    #1 Rob Schneider
#2 Joe Lieberman - used to be a Dem, then changed to Independant when he lost the CT Dem primary. Now, 'cuz he won the election as an Independent, he's got LOTS more power in the Senate. Everyone wants his vote, and courts him nonstop.
#3 Hmmm. Denise Richards? Carmen Electra? Pam Anderson?
#4 Lucy Liu sounds good to me.

  82. I thought Jason Biggs for number 1.

    ReplyDelete
  83. This closet lesbian B+ list lead actress on a hit network drama...

Lead actress, folks. That rules out half the guesses here that aren't Kate Walsh. It's Kate.

    ReplyDelete
  84. @Laura: If Jason Bigs is "C-list, at best," then how do you think he fits the blind (which describes a B- list actor)?

    ReplyDelete
  85. #2 and 3: Biden and Megan Fox

    ReplyDelete
  86. Geez, I wish I had an AP a few years ago. Go her. And thanks for the kindness post. That's really awesome.

2&3: Hahaha, I just wish it was McCain. I would believe it. No way it's Obama, because he would have them lining up down the block in ranges from A to D list. I know plenty of women willing to be Obama groupies. I'm agreed that it can't be ScarJo or Alba. C'mon, people, you may hate them but they are DEFINITELY above C+ list. Alba has a franchise, TV work, and tons of movies and ScarJo is for some reason a Director's/critic's darling.

4: Yeah, I'm useless today. Too many possibilities. I feel terrible for her, though. "OMG LESBIAN" is such a mature and classy reaction. Oy. She deserves better.

    ReplyDelete
  87. @Little Miss-Lost is a compilation cast, which means there all the main characters are considered leads. So my guess is still valid. hmph.

@binky:He has starred in enough movies to considered B, I was trying to make a point of why we would laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  88. @Laura: I wish! I adore Jason Biggs, and own the first two "Pie" movies, but Hollywood can't seem to figure out what to do with him. It seems some actors are too "Jewish" to cast ... unless they make perfect character actors. He doesn't, though, maybe because he's too cute? I guess if I could figure out the pattern as to why some actors work and why some don't, I'd be rich. (sigh) In the meantime, that asshole Seann William Scott cranks movies out left and right, and he's neither funny nor cute. And he hasn't a charming or likable molecule in his entire body!

    ReplyDelete
  89. @Binky-he has a new movie coming out next week or so!

    Oh, and SWS is gaaaaaaay

    ReplyDelete
  90. @Laura: Yeah, but it's a Dane Cook movie, so it's doomed. And I'm with you on the SWS bandwagon! (HE should be in Dane Cook movies! Then we wouldn't have to look at him! Ha!)

    ReplyDelete
  91. BinkyM--Jason Biggs is Italian.

    ReplyDelete
  92. @not a famous adrian: Could have fooled me! Actually, he DID fool me, and every producer and director I know. We ALL believe he's a Jew. This is the first I've heard he's not (and I'm about to run and phone some people after checking your intel). And therein lies his problem: he comes across as very menchy. We're always talking about how he needs a dramatic role in which he plays completely against type and drops the good Jewish boy thing.

    ReplyDelete
  93. BinkyM,
I thought the same. But from Wiki:

Biggs has joked in interviews about the fact that he is often cast as an explicitly or implicitly Jewish character, as he was in American Pie (other examples include Darren Silverman or Jerry Falk), although Biggs himself is Italian American and Catholic.

    ReplyDelete
  94. @not a famous adrian: I found it, and I'm still in shock, and I'm talking with a screenwriter friend about it on the phone now. He's in shock, too. The HOURS we've wasted discussing his career, trying to figure out how he can rehab it! Well, if all of us have misfigured him on the east coast, then it's likely the west coast has, too, and it would seem that the first thing he's got to do is to fix his nose. He wasn't cast as Jim Levenstein because of his circumcision scar, that's for sure! He's just 30, and there's plenty of time to find him a career as a WORKING actor in GOOD things, not Dane Cook crap that comes out in the months of the year no one goes to the movies!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Anonymous5:50 PM

I think it's extremely sad that people think someone should "fix his nose" because he "comes across as very menchy" and therefore can't possibly have a successful acting career. I'm not Jewish, but wow, I'm offended. Maybe black actors should bleach their skin, so as not to offend our delicate sensibilities, too? And maybe Asian actors should have eye widening surgery for the same reason? Yes, I'm quite offended.

    ReplyDelete
  96. what a dumbass, he should have rolled with the jewish thing, he would probably have a good career.

    ReplyDelete
  97. @sandman: There was the Woody Allen movie (which was a bomb), but that was about it. He can't seem to get a decent job in Hollywood, which is a shame because he's just darling!

    ReplyDelete
  98. BinkyM--what do you do with movies?
I assumed Jason Biggs was Jewish not based on his looks, but the fact that he spent time in Israel isiting his girlfriend who was attending school there.
My brother-in-law owns a store in Jason's hometown, & had said all the local papers had him down as Italian. That is when I Wikipediad him. I didn't think it was a blind reveal!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Damn my V button--it keeps sticking.
    Sorry.
I would hate to see Jason Biggs type
cast. I think he is at that awkward age--too old for the H.S./college roles, & too young for the older roles.
He needs a good TV comedy like "How I Met Your Mother".

    ReplyDelete
  100. @ea73: A mensch is someone who's nice.

@not a famous adrian: I'm a producer. I'd assumed he was Jewish because he played a Jew in "American Pie" and appeared to be well-cast, and then continued to play Jews in a couple other movies, so I had no reason to ever think anything else, and I guess it didn't dawn on anyone else I know, either, for the same reasons! I never got to see that TV show he did (it was canceled before I caught it), so I have no idea what he played on it.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I didn't know he was on a show--I just suggested it.
But he does do a good nebbish.

    ReplyDelete
  102. you know, this actually might make a good movie, up & coming actor italian boy, assumed as jewish, rolls with it, outed, career busted...whats the ending?

    ReplyDelete
  103. starring....Ben Affleck as the Italian/Jewish boy!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Here's an article about a recent GOP cocktail party and dinner. My guess is Mccain and possibly Lacy Chabert...

    http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/015/473ldzno.asp

    ReplyDelete
  105. @sandman: The ending is that his career is saved when he's hired by Happy Madison Productions to replace Adam Sandler, who's just too tired to carry on doing silly movies anymore, and production is slated for 2013 (I need five more years of Adam Sandler. What can I say? I love cute Jewish men, or Italian ones who look Jewish)!

    ReplyDelete
  106. BinkyM--as much as I like Adam Sandler, he is getting a little long in the tooth for certain parts. Jason Biggs would be a great replacement for him.

    ReplyDelete
  107. oh--I'm also assuming you are female.

    ReplyDelete
  108. @not a famous adrian: Yes, that's what I was proposing: That Adam would hire the outed Italian to replace him (Adam), but ideally, not too soon!

And yes, I'm a girl (who loves Adam, and Rob Schneider; I can't get enough of those two, and "Zohan" was the hardest I've laughed since "Borat," which was the hardest I'd laughed since "Bad Santa").

Although now that I think about it, the first two "American Pie"s were awfully funny, too; Jason Biggs doing Petey had me wetting myself!

    ReplyDelete
  109. A girl after my own heart.
I don't know if you watched the Borat out-takes, but I can't go through a cheese department without my son pointing to each package--"what's this?" "cheese"
    "what's this?" "cheese" etc.
You need to fix us east-coasters up with something funny.

    ReplyDelete
  110. @not a famous adrian, Not only did I watch it, but I watched that ENTIRE bit, even though my friends got up and left the room, insisting they couldn't stand it anymore!

I'm not going to be so indelicate, though, as to mention here in front of everyone how fart jokes just kill me, and I have a plastic jar of gelatinous stuff which, when I jam a couple of fingers in really hard, makes these screamingly funny flatulent noises. It's one of my most prized possessions.

    ReplyDelete
  111. A little off topic maybe, but how is Obama being touted as the first black president when he is only half black??

    ReplyDelete
  112. BinkyM--I think every 12 year old boy I know would love that!
I have plastic dog crap somewhere which used to get a lot of laughs.
    It was quite realistic looking.

    ReplyDelete
  113. volenut, obama isn't president yet. :-) He is african-american, though. His father was from Africa and his mother from the US.

As for leftovers and the homeless, give me an effin break. I share leftovers with friends and I will share them with homeless people if they need them. If I give leftovers to someone and they don't want them, then they can toss them in the nearest dumpster.

I do lots of volunteer work and I know the importance of respect and trust.

BUT, if you eat at a restaurant you have to trust the cooks, the servers, etc.

  114. 1. Mike Meyers
    2. Harry Reid
    3. Denise Richards
    4. Ali Larter

  115. As for #3, I don't think it's one of our current pres or vp nominees. I think national means anyone in the Senate or Congress or even someone nationally recognized. "New power" could mean anything. Jesse Jackson Jr?

    See, I hate political blinds.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Geezus, Ent -- if you're gonna to do political blinds in the middle of a VERY IMPORTANT ELECTION, the least you can do is throw in a few "NOTS" to prevent the politically clueless from taking their inane guesses and confusing them with "facts!"

From the clues you've given, this is obviously NOT OBAMA. (It's laughable considering the political realities right now, but that's beside the point.) Unfortunately -- to some people -- he'll be the answer to ANY political blind you put out there over the next 2 months. I think you have a responsibility to include his name (or McCain's, for that matter) as a "NOT" in any pol-blinds you post thru the election -- no matter how obvious it might seem to YOU that he's not the answer.

    Please think about this.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I totally agree with Carolyn, ENT. Didn't you just post that you like to stay out of politics? You don't shy about calling out others for inconsistencies, so....

    ReplyDelete
  118. To the girl who gives her leftover sushi to pregnant crackheads, I don't think it's considered safe to eat sushi when you're pregant (though I admit it pales in comparison to the crack).
And I've heard that Jason Biggs has/had a substance abuse problem, never a great thing for your career.
For the politician, I like the Leiberman guess, or maybe Edwards. Obama would be too afraid to cross Michelle, and so he should be.

    ReplyDelete
  119. 1. Jim Carrey.

2 and 3. I'm thinking the politician is Al Gore. He was once a national political candidate and his new found power would be this whole global warming/green movement. The actress? No idea.

    4. I don't know why and forgive me, but Holly Hunter popped into my head. Love her.

    ReplyDelete
  120. @feebes-
I would actually consider Jim Carrey A-list, and not in a laughable way.

BUT OMG I love the Al Gore guess! Good point!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Anyone that reads gossip mags and such knows that Jason Biggs is a douche. He is a complete jerk. He used to be at the bars using pathetic lines on chicks and bragging about all the girls he could pick up. I think he is married now, but seems insecure enough to start cheating on her soon. I never thought of him as being Jewish either. I don't think most people consciously think of movie characters religious beliefs..

    ReplyDelete
  122. Anonymous11:43 AM

I don't think that #4 would be Ali Larter. Enty loves her and I think she was one of the people (like the Ugly Betty cast) who is safe from blinds.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Wow. Alot of guesses and i only got about halfway thru... Can't take anymore obama guesses tho... and I'm Canadian!! :P So i'm gonna stop reading your guesses and make my own.. I haven't yet come to Sandler for #1, but he was my first guess...
    1. Adam Sandler
    2. Huckabee & 3. Heather Graham
    4. Kate Walsh

    ReplyDelete
  124. I don't think Holly Hunter would be B+List, but at least it is different than the same names being brought up.
What about Maura Tierney, if one considers ER a hit series (it doesn't have the following it used to but NBC still tries to treat it as the hit it once was). I was thinking Jorga Fox, but I don;t know that she is a lead and don't know that she is in the closet.

  125. 2 & 3 - Obama and Scarlet Johanssen

    ReplyDelete
  126. Anonymous10:20 PM

Okay...the kids are in school, the baby in part-time daycare so now that I have other people raising the little bast**ds, I can get back to the important things.

It's about as much Obama as it is McCain and we all know he can't get it up. Neither would risk shit in this election, nor would their running mates. Although I would LOVE to see Sarah Palin f-ing Fred Thompson from behind...believe me...that bitch is definitely a 'top'.

As for the 'leftover' debate, I was recently in LA, making my way back to my bro's apt with half of a lovely shepard's pie I planned on enjoying later. A homeless guy asked me if he could have it. I tried to argue it wasn't sanitary to no avail. Trust me...I was devastated and had I had anything other than a Visa check card, I'd have paid him any amount of cash to avoid handing over that meaty, cheesy, potato-y goodness.

Lesbian? In Hollywood? Get the f**k outta here!

    ReplyDelete
  127. I didn't read all the comments, so please forgive me if I am being repetitive - just can't hold back!

What about Al Gore for # 2? I interpreted the blind to mean that the person was a candidate at some point, but not necessarily currently. Although is he still considered a politician? Maybe not. Damn!

    Mariska Hargitay for #4.

    ReplyDelete
  128. #4= Mariska Hargitay. My first guess, too. Has to be her.

  129. #4= Mariska Hargitay. My first guess, too. Has to be her.

  130. #1 I keep thinking this is Tim Allen. He was in prison and he knows true poor people. And I believe he would still extend the hand of kindness to broke and homeless men. This just seems like him.

    ReplyDelete
  131. " C+ list films, but with some A list name recognition due to her body."

If this ins't Scarlett, I don't know who it is. That is why Obama's camp fought hard to deny all of the emails and the liaisons with a relative working on Obama's campaign.
