What two hunky actors are refraining from any public displays of affection now that spies on their set are suggesting they're more than friends?

1. Clooney + some dude
ReplyDelete2. Any of the Gossip Girl boiz
3. Is Tom Cruise filming? Howzabout Revolta?
Shia LaBeouf & Josh Duhamel - filming Transformers 2 (and Shia is a lot prettier than Fergie!)
ReplyDeleteAh, my pet peeve. I spent two months in Turkey during high school, and I loved seeing friends of the same sex hold hands without having to worry about what people would think. Of course, the reason they can do that there is probably because no one would EVER come out of the closet, so everyone just assumes everyone else is straight.
ReplyDeleteEthical dilemma - when we speculate about celebrity gayness, are we being homophobic, or does it help to make being gay part of the public consciousness, and thus less "strange?" I guess I'd better check with Tia Tequila.
I saw this one on some other site and their guess was gossip boys chance crawford and Ed Westwick
ReplyDelete*miss_p*, I don't know how that would fit in with the rumors about Megan Fox giving Josh a bj in a limo. LOL, next thing you know the rumor mill will have that shoot turned into a non-stop orgy!
ReplyDeleteMooshki, I hear what you're saying. It's like, do we respect the homosexual and let them come out of their *own* closet or pull them out, a la He Who Shall Not Be Named (HWSNBN). I dont know if it's homophobic, but I think the intrigue is that humans (and gossip hounds like us) don't like secrets, period. It's the same with a secret booger sugar habit - we want to know who is doing what. It doesn't matter what it is.
ReplyDeletei think it depends on your intent.
ReplyDeletei talk about it on my blog but in the end i dont care one way or another, there's no malice and that makes a big difference.
Piggy on the other hand treats it like a national scandal that will rock the nation and inferring a negative spin. not cool.
Mooshki,
ReplyDeletemaking it 'less strange' would be good. Sadly, since Heinz thinks it's ok to pull a tv commercial for mayonnaise which featured a kiss between two men, because a few people complained that they didn't want to have to explain that to their kids.... well, I guess there's a long way to go.
The blind? I'd imagine it's someone on Gossip Girl, because it's the NY Daily News, and I think GG is filmed there. Whoever it is, it's not clear from the blind whether they've stopped PDAs because their relationship is 'more than friends', or because it isn't!
Dude, we already know they're all coked up and doin' it. NEXT!
ReplyDeleteGot this at Dlisted:
ReplyDeleteWhat two hunky actors are refraining from any public displays of affection now that spies on their set are suggesting they're more than friends? (Rush & Molloy)
John Travolta & James Gandolfini on the set of their new movie. Oh, I thought it said chunky actors. In that case, any of the sluts on the Gossip Girl set. They are all doing sex to each other.
Who's the Hollywood heart-throb who refuses sex with gorgeous women, but still dates them so he can pretend he's straight? (Mirror UK)
George Clooney and every other Hollywood heart-throb?
Mooshki, that's a good question. My favorite thing is to find out some actor/actress is gay. I guess the reason is that I want to know before everyone else and be the one to ruin their illusion. Like the time I told a college-age acquaintance that Anderson Cooper was gay. The crestfallen look on her face was delicious!
ReplyDeleteIt isn't the speculation on the blinds that is homophobic so much, but the fact that it is even a blind at in the first place, I think. BIs are usually about scandalous things where you can't name names because it could potentially ruin someone's image or even career.
ReplyDeleteSo by lumping all gay/lesbian/bi activities into the BI territory, it's implicit that gayness is 'wrong', akin to the immorality of being hooked on drugs or carrying on an affair, and thus something that should be hidden. Personally I think at least 80% of celebs are gay or bi anyway. We would be better off doing blinds on who is actually straight.
Zac Efron and Matt perry?
ReplyDeletebeing gay wrong? if it were "right", why would so many celebrities hide it? if they are ashamed of what they are, how do they expect us to feel about them? in other words, their career is more important to them than the people who love them. how sad. if they weren't ashamed, why would they care who knows?
ReplyDeleteayesha:
ReplyDeletetry that with the keanu-crazies and you will have your eyes clawed out....i've tried to enlighten them, they come after me with torches and pitchforks.
Assfleck just finished State of Play w/ Russell Crowe and Jason Bateman, as well as He's Just Not That Into You w/ Justin Long. Wouldn't they make a cute couple??
ReplyDeleteSaw someplace where it was laid out enough that I believe
ReplyDeleteJake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire.
It also talked about the competition they've had to make the crew like them (over the other) better.
"if they weren't ashamed, why would they care who knows?"
ReplyDeleteI think some actors who have their careers built on being a sex symbol may actually have legitimate concerns. If Jessica Biel came out, would she have any career left? With someone like Jodi Foster, Kevin Spacey, or Jake Gyllenhaal they are known mainly for their talent, so it shouldn't matter.
"It isn't the speculation on the blinds that is homophobic so much, but the fact that it is even a blind at in the first place, I think."
ReplyDeleteI've thought that many times, too, but again I think it depends on the intent behind each item. Most of they are "oooh, he's gay!" but some of them are "oooh, he's gettin' busy with a co-star!" (Who just happens to be the same sex.)
Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick.. look at Perezhilton.com today too.. I totally thought them when I read this the first time...
