He hadn't been in the best of health, so I guess I knew it would be coming.

    Still sad, though.

Here are some MP3s that someone posted. I particularly like the History of F.

  7. I like to think that George, Lenny and Richard are now doing the triple headliner show of my dreams.

I am so bummed and have been teary eyed all morning.

I called someone a twat in his honor, though.

  8. You said it Mooshki - Some people should not be allowed to die. He had too many brains and too much too say. I keep thinking it must be a mistake. I have never been so stricken by the loss of a celebrity, but he is one of the first (besides my parents) who taught me to THINK and not just take what is handed to me. I am going to miss that fucker.

  9. The bastard had the audacity to go and die before I had a chance to see him in concert.

RIP Mr. Carlin - you are missed :(

This man THOUGHT funny - some have to have written "stuff" in front of them to be funny....saw him in an elevator in Tacoma, WA. quite a few years back...had a 4 floor non-sequitor conversation with him.... also saw him in Tahoe with Leon Redbone......RIP, George....Thanks for leaving us with so much of your "stuff"

  12. Depressing. The world sucks enough without losing touchstones like George Carlin. Very depressing...

  13. Not too long ago I had the privilege of seeing him perform. It was brilliant, hilarious and wonderful. He was awesome and he'll be missed by many, myself included...

  15. His heart did him in and now mine hurts something awful. Only Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor ever came close.
