Today's Blind Items

#1 - Apparently during the WGA strike this B/C list actor on a very hit show for women must have read too many self help books. He decided that what the cast and crew needed each day was recognition and encouragement. So, to reward good deeds and good behavior, our actor started handing out $5 Starbucks gift cards to each guy on the set who does something good, and to the women he hands out certificates for a 20 minute massage. Oh, not from a professional masseuse. Oh no. They are all from our actor. And the certificates? Hand drawn. Nice huh?

#2 - This A list country singer was at a middle school within the last month to give a little speech and do a song or two. Before entering the school he spent twenty minutes doing line after line of coke, and when he got out of the school, did the very same thing. I bet you think the speech was about staying off drugs, but it wasn't. It was about why you should fear and obey God. See, it was a private, religious middle school and our singer is very pro-God. Obviously very pro-drugs as well.

  1. i could totes see toby keith doing this, peppered with leg kicks and fist pumps

  2. *LOL* Love the first one but I don't have any guesses. Toby Keith for number 2...or Alan Jackson...*LOL*

    ReplyDelete
  3. I don't really understand 1, are they saying that the massages are an attempt the pick up the women, or just a nice thing to do?

And a hit show for women would be something like Grey's Anatomy. I'm gonna go with TR Knight, from Grey's....hes B/C list.

As for 2, there are way too many male country singers that believe in God, including George Strait, Tim McGraw, and Keith Urban.

I want to say Keith Urban, but I'm pretty sure I'm wrong.

  4. Hey - God made the world; God made the flowers and the trees, and the meth and the weed....

    ReplyDelete
  5. Another hit show for women would be Desperate Housewives. James Denton?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Alan, Alan Alan - you made me laugh out loud with your comment. By the way I especially admire your use of the word "peppered".

    ReplyDelete
  7. I just don't see Toby Keith as a coke-whore...my guess for this one is Kenny Chesney.

    ReplyDelete
  8. desperate housewives came to mind first. it was def effected by the strike.

    ReplyDelete
  9. #1 - I first thought of Justin Chambers, but would he be that douche-y with those massages? Nah... but Balthazar Getty might.

#2 - If you can be A-List via your daughter, I would say this has Billy Ray Cyrus written all over it. Plus he is known for speaking at schools.

lol at #1 - his massages are the equivalent to $5 at Starbucks: Only take 5 minutes, are overpriced, and topped with 'whipped cream'. :)

I'd say one of the guys from Ugly Betty, but they're all happily married.

    #2 - I thought Toby Keith, too.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Kyle Machlachlan and Tim McGraw

    ReplyDelete
  12. James Denton and some asshole in a cowboy hat...Urban?

    ReplyDelete
  13. What if the guy is Billy Ray Cyrus and he's going to schools with Miley?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Twisty and Jax - Jamie Denton is not only a long time friend, but he's also a family man. And since he's been hit on by a famous COS-er, I find it highly doubtful that he'd perpetrate the same sort of ruse this guy perpetrated on him - if you catch my drift. Not Denton. How about Kyle McLaughlin? H seems like he's not familiar with the word 'inappropriate'

    ReplyDelete
  15. According to this, they visited a grade school in March:

  16. Pinky....if you're saying he's a long time friend of yours and you haven't told me before so I could bribe you to get me an autographed photo, I'm a-gonna kill you.

    ReplyDelete
  17. twisted, they are not county stars. i think chesney but for 1 possibly Kyle McLaughlin..i think that's a good guess

    ReplyDelete
  18. Nikki, Billy Ray Cyrus isn't country? I know nothing about that genre of music. What is he considered?

    ReplyDelete
  19. mngddess - Gawd may have made the weed, and even maybe the coke -- but the hillbillies made the meth.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Don't think it was Billy Ray - the link that Twisted posted states that he and Miley visited an Elementary school...the blind item specifies "middle school"

    ReplyDelete
  21. TS: Billy Ray is far more a Disney property than a country star now, although he was a OHW (One Hit Wonder) with "Achy Breaky Heart" all those years ago.
I don't see this as him though... I'm waaaaaay more inclined to go with someone who has an actual career as a singer, not as a Mama Rose type.
    But that's just me.

    ReplyDelete
  22. LMAO @ Pinky.

Ah HA! You've been keeping this from me. And you're an old home girl, too.

    For shame, for shame.

Pinky - thanks for the info on Jamie. He always seemed to be one of the good guys, so glad to hear confirmation. So, now, was the famous CO$'er JT during Primary Colors?

    ReplyDelete
  24. ya pinky if you're gonna come in and throw around your Denton weight you better be prepared to spill some other goods too or we will call BS on you. lol.

    ReplyDelete
  25. No. 2 has just got to be "God Bless The USA" Lee Greenwood. He's been visiting schools and stumping for candidates over the past several months, in between performances.
Like him or loathe him, he's had a long enough career and string of hits to qualify as a country A-lister.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Tim McGraw for 2.

James Denton came to ind for number 1. It doesnt say hes being sleazy about it, just read too many self help/motivational books

    ReplyDelete
  27. #2 is DEF Tim McGraw...he is in the random photos from the CMA's with a caption about how is is wasting away...

    ReplyDelete
  28. I've run into George in SA, no way in hell. That's one of the most grounded men on the face of the planet.

Tim McGraw is a great guess. Seen him lately? That and well, he's known to spout the 'god' line until it's time to get a Democrat elected then he's all 'progressive'.

    ReplyDelete
  29. My money is on Tim McGraw. Read a convincing blind a while ago all about Tim and Faith keeping weight off with various drugs. Rang true for some reason.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm guessing Garth Brooks.

    ReplyDelete
  31. merlin d. bear - thank you!! I see what you mean now - he really is more Disney.

    ReplyDelete
  32. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Tim plays the god card? Not contradicting you, but he's never made a big-ol'-preachy stand for jesus that I've noticed.

Other country stars, heck yeah, but Tim and Faith keep their religion mostly personal.

    ReplyDelete
  34. uh oh 2 amys on the board now, time to come up w/ a nickname.

as long as #2 isn't Garth life is good.

How much coke do you have to get super skinny? Kenny Chesney seems petite in general and has always looked pretty skinny. Tim was in the random pics within the past few weeks w/ a comment from ent. about his weight loss.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I have no idea about #1.

Tim McG sounds like a good guess for #2 since everyone in this town flacks for Jesus like they owe him money. My other guess is a well-established Bluegrass guy who is all-Jesus-all-the-time but is also vicious to anyone who seems vulnerable and gets in his line of vision.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Country Singer is either Rascal Flats or that big asshole from Big and Rich. Rascal Flats is all into doing cocaine, and that is well known. But this sounds like something those Big and Rich punks would do.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Come on, it's no secret about this COS-er. Old film, John Woo directed.

On an almost completely different note, has anyone of the AI fans noticed that the Jason kid with the dreds looks like John Travolta's lost son?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sorry Cali, forgot about that Primary. Same guy, different film.

    ReplyDelete
  39. "Tim McG sounds like a good guess for #2 since everyone in this town flacks for Jesus like they owe him money"

Honestly, I follow a lot of country music (more or less forced to) and NEVER heard Tim or Faith praise jesus, raise their fingers to the sky, cry and praise the Big Man, like most country stars (Greenwood, hello?)

I can't imagine Tim going to a Xtian middle school and ordering kids to obey god.

Doing some party drugs? There are better cases of confirmed druggies in Nashville than Tim, though I'm sure he has known a few.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Can't see Tim doing a middle school talk without Faith hill, that just seems like something they would do together, and then I think the blind would have mentioned that. He does have a song called "Drugs or Jesus" though. I dunno, just can't see it being him. I'm sure he's done his share of drugs but, just not like this.

Could definitely see Toby Keith or the guys from Big and Rich.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Love no 2!! And who says religion and drugs don't mix!!

I hope it was a scripture lesson...

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hey Has Ent talked about kelly Brook and Billy Zane calling off their engagement yet?
Are they not some glaring blind?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Plot, there's a reason they call Nashville "The Baptist Vatican." Jesus is big business here. Even if it never goes past the Davidson County line, there's a lot of thumping that goes on in the name of commerce.

Having reread the blind item, two things come to mind. One, it doesn't specify that the private school was in Nashville. It could be in California for all we know. Two, most seriously Christian institutions tend to compartmentalize secular and religious entertainment. I suspect this artist who probably makes his religion a large part of his persona. If so, yeah, Tim McG is a nice guess, but Plot is probably right that it isn't him.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Sorry for the serial post. I'm thinking that a private Christian school would be morelikey to book someone who has equally close ties on 16th Avenue and Brentwood, which would eliminate Big and Rich and Phoby Teeth.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm going to get on the Keith Urban ... uh, wagon, for #2. He has a long history with alcohol and cocaine abuse, and who wouldn't still be using if they were married to Nicole Kidman? And I will agree with rhianna about George--NO WAY! He's the best thing in country right now, IMHO.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jesse - COS is Church of Scientology.

Pinky - now that you mention it...Jason does look a bit like John Travolta.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Twisted: I prefer CULT of Scientology. :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm thinking Tim McGraw for #2, even tho I haven't heard a lot of religious stuff from him, just because the coke rumors about him and the wifey have been swirling for years. Plus some recent pix of him looking pretty rough.

A-List country: who are the main ones?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Alpine...lol....your answer is MUCH better!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. wait, so who's the closed COSer that hit on james denton? somebody must've figured this one out by now . . .

  51. He may fly them, but he doesn't acknowledge the one he sired...

He may have more hair pieces than Ted Koppel but he has more in common with Richard Quest...

He may have competed with his show-wife for boyfriends but she is more likely to win...

He was not invited to the faux wedding of 2006 (which still has no papers filed on it) but brought in more members than the 'bride'...

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hmmm, lady serena, you're so vague. Could we have more information please?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Miley Cyrus and family are and have always been very active in raising money for cancer charities. Not "talking about God." She does City of Hope benefits all the time with her dad-and did before they were that famous.
