Today's Blind Items - Jackass

This one kind of blew me away because this B+ film actor in a famous family is not generally known for being rude or a jackass. Maybe he was just having a bad day. We have a parking lot in front of a grocery store. there are several cars backed up in one of the lanes in the parking lot. The cars are all waiting for a van with handicapped tags to try and fit into a handicapped space. They took the angle wrong and are doing the back up and turn, back up and turn until they can get in the space.

Our actor is about two cars back in this line and just will not lay off the horn. Holding it down for 5-10 seconds a time and yelling out his window also. Well the van is finally parked, and as the cars begin to stream by, our actor opens the passenger window and yells at the man who is just now emerging from the van. Our actor then finds a spot, and on his way to the front door of the store catches up with the man who is walking as slow as he was driving and lays into him again. Our actor says he is going to call the DMV and that the man should not have a license and blah blah blah.

Two women come over to the man and help him to the store which causes our actor to back off and go about his business. His business was buying a shopping cart full of wine and booze.

  1. I always say this when the blind is about a man from a famous acting family, but.........

I hope it's not Robert Downey, Jr.

How about david arquette? He's gotta be pretty pissed off about all the action his wife gets while he's home alone.

  6. or, joaquin phoenix.(that would def blow me away)

  7. The blind says the actor is not known to be rude, so maybe he was just having a bad day. I think that pretty much rules out Baldwin.

    ReplyDelete
  8. yeah, and i wouldn't describe baldwin as a B+ film actor.

Joaquin is who I thought of. He is definitely a boozer and though he is not known to be mean he might be a nasty drunk. I hope it's not him but Ent should tell us who the jerk is.

  10. Sadly this smells like Joaquin

    ReplyDelete
  11. Canroadrunner, I'm not sure Alda is a B+ film actor. I don't think he is.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Joaquin is a good guess.

    Kiefer Sutherland

    ReplyDelete
  14. Is Kiefer usually nice to fans? I thought he was rumored to be rude. Anyone know?

    ReplyDelete
  15. TS my coworker met him in LA and said he was really nice.
bought everyone drinks and drank coffee himself. about 6 months ago.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Awwww....that's nice. I like hearing stories like that. Could be him then.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Either Luke or Owen Wilson.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Would Kiefer be considered B+ film actor these days?

    ReplyDelete
  19. But, yeah, Enty. Totally, please, reveal this one.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Alan Alda is in the Random Photos - hmmm...

I remember a reporter asking him years ago to comment on the Woody Allen/Mia Farrow controversy and he replied with, "***k off!" He looked really angry and I was surprised at his reaction.

I had read somewhere that Luke Wilson as an A-HOLE and a diva.

  22. But if a person is known to be an asshole, they have to be ruled out according to the blind.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh, you know who I think this is?

Jason Schwartzman (from Shopgirl, I[heart] Huckabee's)

...He's an under-the-radar Coppola(Mom is Talia Shire), and he's generally known for being endearingly geeky (and he's always been self-effacingly nice in person, to fans of his band) Plus, he's young enough to have the kind of parties that need a booze-stock-up.

Awww, this one would actually suck, I hope it was just a bad day...or that I'm wrong....

  24. I'm with the Joaquin Phoenix guess. I no longer like him, if this is true.

I could totally see John Cusack doing this, so it probably isn't him.

  26. Wait--Is he B+??? OH, damn the friggen A,B,C!! I always get tripped up by that!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Nicolas Cage is another Coppola, he's moe in B+ territory...is he usually not a jerk?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ragdoll, I don't think he's B+.

  30. You all know I have to weigh in on this one...

My son is disabled, and I hate the jerks who take handicapped spaces or have no patience with people getting in and out of a handicapped space. Scum like this guy have no idea how hard it is to just get out of the house, much less run an errand to the grocery store when you or someone you are caring for is disabled.

Please reveal this Jackass ENT. I will make his life miserable until he writes a fat check to groups like Eddie's Club to make amends for his bad behavior.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Alda's not so far from needing handicapped tags himself. Doubt this is him.
Yelling at an old man, and two women got him to back off? What a man! Tell me who this is so I can go find him and embarrass the H out of him.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Okay, Leah and I are on the same wavelength here.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Doubt it's Joaq. From personal experience and hearing from many others he is definitely an asshole and I wouldn't be surprised by this. I'm going with David Arquette or John Cusack even though that breaks my heart.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Leah, couldn't you just let the air out of their tires when you see them park there? I see more young women doing this than anyone else.

    ReplyDelete
  35. ENT - Please reveal this at some point. This d!ckhead does not deserve the protection of this being blind.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Casey Affleck for some variety...

    ReplyDelete
  37. John Cusack is a good guess. Tons of movies, from an acting family, and nothing about him would suggest that he's the type to do something like this. And with his stalker situation, maybe he was indeed "having a bad day." Doesn't excuse him (if it's Cusack) but it would be more understandable.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I've never let the air out, but I have blocked the space with my car or van and confronted the inconsiderate jerk when they've come out of the store.

If it's a vehicle with a business logo, I've taken pictures of the offending vehicle in the space, and sent them out to my parents' network.

I have no problem shaming someone who has so little concern for others.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm loving The Food Network theme this week! More Alton!! It looks to me like Rachel had some work done...

    ReplyDelete
  40. I couldn't imagine anyone doing something like this (let alone someone who would be recognized by everyone).

I was thinking Nicholas Cage as I was reading, but he always comes off like an asshole, so he wouldn't be too surprising.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jake Gyllenhaal

    ReplyDelete
  42. Letting the air out of someone's tires isn't cool. I am much more in favor of Leah's approach of confronting the offender. Before doing such things you should see the person and make sure they are not truly not handicapped.
My Mom is on a walker and has a handicapped sign to hang from the mirror when I carry her shopping. I have been known to forget the sign. It would be sad and a terrible inconvenience for her to hobble back to a car with flat tires.
There are many people who need handicapped parking but are too embarrassed to go and get a handicapped tag or sign, especially older people.

  43. Letting the air out of someone's tires isn't cool.

Please don't tell me you took that seriously.

    I guess you did.

    Sssiiiiiiiiggggggghhhhh........

    ReplyDelete
  44. i usually slash the tires and bust the windows.

    ReplyDelete
  45. please don't tell me you took that seriously. LOL TWIS!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. LMAO @Cap!!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!!

Eh, I'm guessing that's not cool either?

    ReplyDelete
  47. could be casey affleck -- would go with the blind the other day about the "good one" in an acting family who's hooked on something (can't remember what). i thought that blind was c affleck and this one would work, too.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Jake G. is a good guess!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Please don't be David Arquette.

And why would anyone slash tires? That is so juvenile, not to mention, criminal.

Taking a shit on the hood is the way to go.

    ReplyDelete
  50. LOL - can't we do all of the above?

    ReplyDelete
  51. allie - i have my whole family shit in a bag. after i bust out the windows i set the bag on fire and toss it in. we've only done it twice. none of us are cool, obviously.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Wow... what a m-f'n jerk. I have RA and there are times when I use my placard. I don't use it just to get a closer parking spot, only when I really have a bad day. I figure I can use the exercise. I am also a very slow mover.

I would have cried or gotten very angry. My husband would have punched him...ok he wouldn't have really punched him, but the guy would have wished he had after my husband got finished with him. (Former big city cop with a clear sense of right/wrong and celebrity is bs to him...except maybe if that celeb is a 300 pound parolee who just finished off a rock, then he might think twice)

Have a good day guys...I really enjoy everyone's comments.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Captivagirl,

Not cool? I beg to differ! I think y'all are the shit!!! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  54. any Sheen? Phoenix? Baldwin? Wilson? O'Neill? Arquette?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Keifer....he's hollywood royalty, B+ b/c no movies - just TV, and even tho went to jail for DUI - still drinkie drinkie on a farrrrr too regular basis. He frequents my friends establishment in SilverLake far too often and is not drinking diet coke. At least not straight.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Although I could believe that it was Joaquin Phoenix due to rumors of his erratic, sometimes a-hole demeanor, I don't really think it would be so surprising as Ent stated, simply for that fact. Because the behavior was so unexpected, I am completely stumped. I doubt it's anyone who has been rumored to act with such crass and disrespect.

By the way, I truly do enjoy reading all of the regulars' posts every day. I don't post often because I usually have no clue until I read your guesses (and hilarious quips). Y'all are a trip! Thanks for keeping it classy!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm just glad it's not Jason Schwartzman :)

    Reveal this one Ent!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'll go with Jake on this one. Esp if he had to buy a shitload of wine to get liquored up for his next photo op I mean date with Greesy Reesey.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I am guessing Alexis Arquette. Just because. The image of her chasing someone down in lucite heels in the Ralph's parking lot makes me giggle.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Recap of the guesses:
    1. Alec Baldwin
    2. Casey Affleck
    3. Keifer Sutterland
    4. David Arquette
    5. Joaquin Phoenix
    6. John Cusack
    7. Luke wilson

    Did I miss anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Something stuck with me: The phrase "IN a famous family", not "FROM a famous family". So what about for example Kurt Russell? The Russell/Hawn/Hudson-family is famous and he's a part of it plus he's not exactly known for rude behaviour nor drinking as far as I know.

I'd still love Brad Pitt for it, harhar, but he's way too A-list, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Good thinking, sauvage. I would be shocked if it were him.

    ReplyDelete
  63. what about dennis or randy quaid

    ReplyDelete
  64. No one is BList who has been nominated for an Academy Award. Joaquin is definitely A-List, and so is Mark Wahlberg. I first thought of David Arquette.

    ReplyDelete
  65. brenda - Ben Affleck is missing on your list(and in general). i don't think he is A list now.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Maybe it's because I saw a "Two and a Half Men" poster on the bus in front of me this morning, but I'm wondering if it's one of the Sheen/Estevez kids other than Charlie?

On the loser copping the handicapped space? I would suggest the old Beverly HIlls Cop maneuver and stick a banana in his car's tail pipe.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I don't know - maybe it's where I am from - but if I saw anybody verbally abusing a senior citizen like that I would have gotten out of my car and laid into him so badly he would be hearing my voice in his head for a week!

Oh - and I'd notify TMZ and ask them to hound him for a few months or so..

    What an ass...

    ReplyDelete
  68. Twisty,
It's not that I thought you would do that. But when you post as much as you do, you have to think about the effect your words have, not just on the regulars but the trolls and the handicapped reading this, also. This is a serious subject not the usual Hollywood gossip.
It does touch me personally. My best friend died last year of Pulmonary Fibrosis. Because her handicap was in her lungs and not visible to others she refused to get a handicap tag and use a handicap parking space. She was afraid of people doing just the things you and Cap. were talking about to her. She could barely walk six feet without stopping to rest. Yet, she struggled across huge parking lots rather chance some jackass doing something to her car or cursing her because she didn't fit their idea of handicapped. Many times she would be too tired to make it in the store and I would go get the car and pick her up.
I thought you would probably feel bad if some handicapped person read what you wrote and were afraid to use a handicapped parking space or if some troll took your words to heart and damaged someone's car.
But, I am glad I could provide entertainment for you and Captivagrl and I hope you two never have a loved one who needs a handicapped parking space so you can continue to joke about it.

  69. This is definitely Jeff Bridges. "This one blew me away"--Bridges starred in the film "Blown Away." Has a reputation as an exceptionally nice guy, so a temper display would be shocking; see link.
