Javier Bardem Gets In Touch With His Feminine Side

I will have to say this for Penelope Cruz. She does manage to find guys who are not afraid of their feminine side. First there was Tom Cruise, and now Javier Bardem. Over the weekend Javier was spotted at a club holding hands and rubbing the thigh of another guy. Now, of course in Europe, people tend to be much closer, and just because is repeatedly rubbing the thigh of someone means absolutely nothing.

Hell, I could walk into any restaurant in Spain right now and sit down next to a woman. I'm sure she would be thrilled to have my big fat, stubby fingers rubbing her thighs while I looked at her like she was a burger and fries.

Of course as you FFF readers know, Javier has a little problem if you know what I mean and so this friend could have been searching in vain for what we know isn't really there. To see the video of Javier and his new friend, click here.

Thanks Renee.

  1. Just a though - how the person filming manage not to get anyone to walk in front of the camera?

    What a shame.

  4. Seriously looks like a few guys out drinking. It didn't look intimate to me. My straight buddys from Spain were very affectionate and even more touchy when drinking. Actually most of my friends from other countries are far more touchy/feely than my American friends. This sucks though cause I have a lot of furniture because nobody can sit withing a foot of someone else.

  5. Haha...when I suggested he might be playing for the other team people got upset. Harrrumph!

Not that I think this clip means anything, because I don't. But I do think he's gay.

  6. Twisted--are you implying Penelope is a "gasp" beard for him?

  7. I could go either way on this - his buddy is the one with the hand on Javier's thigh.

Could be just European style friendliness, just like women from other countries hold hands when walking together.

I'm with gossipmonger on that one. I think bisexuality runs more rampant out there then we all assumed!

  13. When I lived in London we used to play the drinking game "gay or European"

    This is definitely European.

    Whew!

I'm going with European, as well. Javi kisses him on the top of the head, which is very brotherly.

The hand on the inner-thigh is more suspect, but as someone else pointed out: that was the other guy.

Some people appreciate affection whether its from dudes or ladies. Doesn't mean they swing one way or another, just like being touched.

  16. Rule number one in Europe: don't mistake La Bise with La Baise (yeah, I know that's French, and Javi is Spanish, but we're all Europeans to Americans, right?...)

  17. it also looks like at one point he's kissing javi by his ear...it doesnt look like whispers,it looks like nuzzles

  23. TS, the EL himself, and most commentators above were the ones pushing the "European" label... La Bise among men in some european countries is simply not done, in others it's nothing.

  25. Blue, they misspoke, I don't get what the big deal is.

Of course, if it makes you feel better about yourself to lump all Americans together and try to make people feel stupid, then again, let me recommend Perez Hilton's site.

  26. Lol, sorry then, I "misspoke" too...

  27. God, this is absolutely NOTHING.
He's just friendly and cordial. Yes, and it's normal behaviour for a (straight) Spanish/southern European man on a night out with friends.

  28. I love Pricolatino's response -- I'm in , too! Perhaps Penelope and Javier are beards for each other -- hmmm!

OH - and Penelope is on my "If I Was a Lesbian" list, has been for years. So this works out QUITE NICELY for me... ;)

That's hilarious! I agree with the comments above who say it's typical Spanish/Euro behaviour. When I was in Madrid, this girl in our group, after knowing me all of an hour, was holding my arm and my hand in a friendly (not gay) manner. I got used to it being just a warm gesture between friends, even new ones. So this is nothing. I've even seen pictures of straight Middle Eastern men sitting together holding hands because it's forbidden to do that with women.
    It's just a cultural thing.

I've only met Spanish, Italian and French men and they all seemed very at ease showing affection towards other men.

Javier might be gay, but that video doesn't prove anything to me, actually it makes me think he is straight, possibly bi.

  34. Gay, bi, straight, extremely European--whatever is going on there is HOT.

  35. Javier is growing on me. But not enough to be his Mrs. Porter.

    ReplyDelete
  36. He's a fine, fine dude in this pic, though. Hubba!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well if Javi's gay, he's being pretty generous. The other dude is not hot.
