Good Memories Gone Bad

I love how past memories continually become corrupted over time. This time it has to deal with Op. You remember Op don't you? It was surfer clothing for everyone who didn't surf and for a time in the 80's was the thing to wear even if you lived in Topeka. Nothing like sporting a pair of board shorts in December in Topeka. Chicks loved it. Now though Op has become a brand of Wal-Mart or some pseudo corporate cousin of theirs and the fun is no longer. To make matters worse, a group of B listers is attempting to make the brand seem cool again. Forget the fact they wouldn't wear any of it outside the commercial or ever stepped into Wal-Mart. Oh, and any street cred Pete Wentz has? Gone. OK, he really didn't have a bunch anyway, but you get the point. Oh, and make sure you have not eaten. Rumer Willis in a bikini warning.

LOL Ent, we wore our OP year round too... here in the land of ice and snow - where it's the end of April and still snowing!

I have to say, in the pictures I've seen. Rumer doesn't look awful. Just plain.

She's turning into Gretchen Mol to me. The 'it girl'/wannabe that they're forcing down our throats and no one's buying it.

  8. Gotta get some OP to go with my Jordache Jeans - Holy Crap!!! Remember the Gloria Vanderbilt jeans with the swan on the front pocket? I gotta get a time machine so I can go back and relive my teen years. Where's Marte McFly when you need him?

  10. I actually still have some daisy-duke blue Op shorts. Because they're the original they still look hip. It's crazy. But that's also like saying Mossimo original pieces are still hip.

I'm a dying breed, this child of the 80's.

Crap OP is what made Millers Outpost in the 80's. I wore all my OPs in the middle of the desert.
