NY Daily News Blind Item

Which singer turned Broadway star is miserable along the Great White Way? Although he privately gripes that he hates the show he's in, he has to ride out his contract.

  1. Clay Aiken in Spamalot?

How can someone hate anything written by the Pythons?

  3. If it's Clay it wouldn't surprise me - he's a primadonna who wants to be the center of attention - not 1 of a group and broadway is seriously hard work which I'm sure gets in the way of his self love.

  4. Lance Bass? Is he still in Hairspray? I thought of him too.

  10. If he'd embrace his gay, I have a feeling that he'd be a lot less uptight. Hiding what you really are creates a lot of stress.

  11. I read this earlier on the Daily News page and immediately thought of Clay as well... I think there have been quotes where he has stated a dislike of his character.

  14. Clay was my first thought. He also seems to easily bore of things.

  15. Doesn't like the idea that the show is the real star and is what brings people in, no matter who's in the cast.

  16. I think it's Clay Aiken.

"I thought Monty Python was a person until three months ago," Aiken told Newsweek. And upon first exposure to the Python brand of absurdist comedy, the singer was initially none too impressed. "The first time I saw it I thought it was the stupidest thing I'd ever seen in my entire life," he added.

I hate him just for disliking Monty Python. And I have to say, he's not so bright for saying that he thinks the show he's in is the stupidest thing he's ever seen.

Sounds to me as if Clay is really trying to get into his role...Sir Robin wants to run away!

He must've already soiled his armour.

  19. Ha, you know what they say, how do you make a musician complain? Give him a job. How do you get him to complain more? Give him a better job.
