Four For Friday - A Kindness

I think everyone in the world is off today except for me. Quite possibly I could be the only person working. Full Frontal Friday will be coming up shortly. Oh, that is a bad choice of words. It will be coming up in a few hours. I almost feel bad doing that on Good Friday but hopefully this kindness will make up for it. Been saving this one for today.

So, this B list television actress from a very hit show that ended not so long ago, was walking through a park close to her home when she saw two girls who were about ten playing on the swings. One of the girls had a doll in her hand which she was swinging in a circle. She didn't pay that close of attention but thought that there was a nanny or mom watching the pair. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a flash and a mixed breed dog launched through the air and grabbed the doll from the girl's hand. The girl immediately tried to get the doll back from the dog and was bitten really hard on her arm. She started screaming, let go of the doll, and the dog ran away with the doll. No one came to help the little girl at all. The alleged nanny was not actually the nanny and did nothing to help and instead walked away from the scene. The dog's owner? There was no one there at all with the girls. Our actress rushed over to the injured girl and saw that the dog had left teeth prints but had not broken the skin. The actress calmed the girl down long enough so she could get an address for the girl. It was a house about a half a block from the park. Our actress took both the girl and her friend back to the injured girl's house, and explained everything to the mother of the girl. The girl's mom had apparently run back to the house because she had thought she had left the gas on on their stove and was just opening the door to go back to the park as our actress came up with the two girls. She gave the woman her name and contact information, but no one recognized our actresses name. Later that day, our actress bought a new doll and had it sent to the girl to make up for the one that was taken by the dog.

  7. I'm working, but nobody else in my company is. That's because I'm nice and kind and...I spend too much time screwing around during the week to give myself the day off...lol.

  8. How about Rachel Bilson? I could see her doing something like this.

  9. I think Lauren Graham is a great guess.

  10. Lauren Graham. I'd like to think that Kristen Bell would do something like this too...

  11. Twisted, that made me laugh out loud...

  12. I'm *at work, but I'm not necessarily working. Alas, payroll doesn't get a day off, indeed. Unfortunately, I have yet to do payroll today.

  16. Leah Remini? Really? Little Miss Scientoligist would probably side with the dog before the kids. That woman just looks mean!

  17. 4 for Friday?

    Where's the other 3?

    ReplyDelete
  18. My guess is for SJP...she could have just written "Sarah Parker" or "Sarah Broderick" She also looks pretty nondescript without hair and makeup, and without high fashion clothes

  19. scientology aside, leah is pretty down to earth in interviews. other than that i know nothing about her personal life. thought maybe she was walking her baby in the park.

  20. Kristen Bell is actually quite the little bitch (according to Lainey from Laineygossip.com). Can't see her doing something like this.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Then maybe Kristen was the one who bit the girl...lol.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well, uh, there was the actress, the 2 kids, and the mom...you take those 4 and like it!

    ReplyDelete
  23. i think i heard leah admit in an interview that she's a t-shirt, jeans, no makeup girl. maybe she uses her husband's last name in real life. i can see her doing this. but then again i never get these.

  24. Anonymous4:37 PM

Then she'll be back to recruit the entire family. Remini, that is.

  25. Only Scientologists could have helped that little girl.

  26. Either LG or Alexis Bledel. Though the park thing could be Griffith Park which borders along a lot of the areas where the stars live.

  27. I like the Edie Falco guess. I'm throwing Cynthia Nixon's name out there, too. She's a mom herself, and there are certainly plenty of parks in Brooklyn.

  28. the info is:
B List actress / show ended not so long ago.

    1. enough not to bother thinking about.

    2. its just me or the blinds more and more increase in vague-ness

    3. where are the other three ?

    4. really, if they are like todays blinds (ref. "A" player messaging a mates woman), please, don´t post them. doesnt make a difference at all.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Was wondering about the other three, too. But with Full Frontals in my mind's eye, I'm not in the mood to actually read right now...

    ReplyDelete
  30. oh, another thought:

if you keep kindnesses so vague - especially if there is no legal reason of holding back, then you better make a story out of that.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I like the Edie guess too. :)

BTW, I've never heard anything bad about Kristen Bell, and Lainey can go take a flying one as just about all the other gossip bloggers fawn over how "cool" and "nice" she is. Heck, she was in a blind about two years ago when she returned a dog to its owner (coincidentally). Just an observation.

    ReplyDelete
  32. P.S. Edie Falco saved a dog from drowning in 2003. (Just looked it up so I would get the year right.) So, she's evidently "all full of good".

    ReplyDelete
  33. Just curious, Eddie, why do you think it's Jamie Gertz. I've liked her since "Less Than Zero."

    ReplyDelete
  34. It could be Edie with the hint of "a very hit show" could be referring to the body count on The Sopranos as well as its popularity.

    ReplyDelete
  35. ...and the actress ate rainbows and pooped butterflies and the world was made better for it...

    ReplyDelete
  36. I definitey think that this could be Edie Falco. I missed the part in the BI where it said "hit show"

That definitely rules out Kristen Bell. I threw her name out because she is a vocal dog lover. I've read conflicting accounts about her personality. The more she's in the press the more convinced I have become that Veronica Mars was like 85% Rob Thomas and 15% Kristen Bell.

    ReplyDelete
  37. How about Jennifer Garner? She's always at the park and if she used Jennifer Affleck then maybe. Plus without her makeup, she just looks like any person off the street. She certainly doesn't dress fancy when she isn't working.

  38. OK,a couple of things lead me to believe that this happened in South Florida:

    1. Kids unattended at the park (never seen in anywhere else, in this day and age, but I see it here in Miami all the time)

    2. Unattended (or stray) dog. Also much more common here than other places I've lived in the U.S.

    3. Miami is 65% comprised of folks who speak Spanish as their first language, and therefore, the kid's family may not have recognized someone who is *easily* a household name elsewhere in the U.S. Most Miamians are from Argentina or Cuba, and prefer to watch telenovelas, or the cable/satellite news from their hometowns.

So, I'm going to say Aniston. Crazy as it is that someone wouldn't recognizer her, the unattended kids and the roaming stray dog just *scream* South Florida to me..

  39. I'M LIKING THE FALCO GUESS

  40. According to Ent's definition, both Gilmore Girls are considered A+ list [star of their own show for 3 or more years].

Kristen Bell sounds good to me. Veronica Mars was on for 3 years and she was the star though, so it can't be her either.

Can't be Leah Remini or Jennifer Aniston either for the same reasons.

So, what TV show ended recently, probably after only 2 seasons? Or who was on VM but was "only" supporting cast or something? The girl who played Mac maybe? Or Eliza Dushku again who played Tru Calling? Or maybe Amber Tamblyn who played Joan of Arcadia?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Damn RagDoll, lighten up on south Florida. Lived there 19 years and still call it home. I honestly have no clue what you mean about unattended children, nor unattended dogs. There may be lots of Cuban culture and Cuban pride, but a lot of "Cuban" Miamians are from Miami. They speak both Spanish and English, it's just in much of Miami they have little need for the latter. And, only little bits of Miami have a lot of Argentinians. And trust me, they all know Jennifer Aniston.

I'm sure you're just having trouble adjusting to so much Spanish being spoken. Sorry you find Miami such a challenge. Maybe you should live somewhere you feel more comfortable. Hundreds of thousands of square miles of the US are a lot more white-bread than Miami, you'll probably be more happy in any of them.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Schnee, he did a kindness about Eliza Dushku either earlier this month or last month. Would he do 2 kindness BI on the same person so close together?

Your name is cool, btw. Looks like it would be fun to say, if I knew how to say it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Pimmy, I'm Puerto Rican and I grew up here.

So, no need for me to "adjust" to the language or the culture because, well...it's actually mine. Aside from a small hiatus during which I lived in other cities on-and-off for about 8 years or so, I've pretty much been here for 33 years. I'm as far from "white bread" as you can get...I have a feeling if you took one look at me, then re-read your post, you'd bust out laughing. If "so much Spanish being spoken" made me "uncomfortable" I wouldn't have been able to communicate with my great-grandparents at ALL because they spoke nothing but....wait for it....Spanish. So, um...yeah. Thanks for playing, though...

I don't know if you still live here, or if you moved away, but since around the time of Hurricane Wilma in 2005 there's been a huge uptick in stray animals, and the city's infrastructure is complete crap, so no one does anything about it. And the sad truth is, a lot of people let their kids play in the parks alone. Again, I don't know if/when you left, but there it is.

I think I'm being pretty accurate when I say that, from observation, there really are pockets of the city where the residents simply choose to reject U.S. pop-culture. Can't say as I blame 'em, it's pretty bland.

Any distaste I have for this city I've earned, by virtue of living with its nonsense for so long. But for you to say I'm uncomfortable with the language or the culture here is patently ridiculous, and accusing me of wanting to live somewhere more "white bread" based on a mere observation I posted on, of all things a silly gossip site is downright comedy.
