Today's Blind Items
That most recent kindness will be revealed tomorrow as well as some Valentines Day love predictions.
#1 This too old for her anyway actor has been making the most of his separation with this actress girlfriend by enjoying the affections of a more age appropriate brunette. The brunette was wearing a wedding ring and our actor is up to his eyeballs in one he probably wishes he could get out of, but it didn't stop them from spending some time at his place one night, and a hotel two nights later.
#2 This one is really interesting, but I don't know if you will ever be able to get it. Both people involved are foreign actors. One is an actress who is about 16 years old. Definitely a B lister on the European circuit but probably an unknown to many of you. In one of her recent films she and her co-star fell in love. He is closer to A list in Europe, (television and film) but again, here in the States, probably unheard of. No big deal that they fell in love except that he is well over twice her age, married and left his wife for this ingenue. The parents of the actress know, but don't see anything wrong with it and the soon to be ex-wife has also agreed to keep quiet for now. Don't know if it is because of money or because she doesn't want to be known as the wife who got left for a 16 year old. Everyone is keeping this as quiet as possible until our actress reaches 17 which would be more publicly acceptable.
One what he could get out of? You're starting to sound like Ted C. I need a dictionary. Geez.
ReplyDelete#2 - why would we care about two people we've never heard of?
ReplyDeleteI think 1 is Milo and Hayden, but I don't know who the other person would be.
ReplyDeleteExcept I just reread it and it sounds like the actor is married, has a girlfriend and then has the brunette on the side. So nevermind on the Milo/Hayden thing.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to put "And Bob's your Uncle" at the end of # 2...
ReplyDeletebrian austin green and megan fox?
ReplyDeleteAbout #2
ReplyDeleteWikipedia only lists 3 european actresses who will turn 17 this year:
Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter Movies)
Sarah Bolger (Stars in "The spiderwick chronicles")
Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter movies)
This been said, none of them have been filming with an actor close to the description of the one in the blind item. At least according to imdb.
I'm totally clueless.
I'm going back to my color coded chart for #1, to see if I can get any sense of it...
Kait, I think your original guess was right on - I don't think the actor is married.
ReplyDeleteWow, praetorian. Impressive! Who knew Wiki even kept track of stuff like that?
ReplyDeleteRyan Phillipe for #1? Are they technically still married or is the divorce final?
ReplyDeleteI think he is saying that the brunette is married. The actor separated from his younger girlfriend and is seeing a married woman and now wishes he could get out of it...
ReplyDeleteBut I still have no idea???
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteMistik, those guys on wikipedia are more geek obsessed than me, and that's saying a lot, trust me. LOL
ReplyDeleteI think that #1 are probably Milo and Hayden, but no idea about who the married brunette is.
#1: am I translating right?
ReplyDelete-Older man (probs over 30)
-Former girlfriend who is much younger
-New brunette girlfriend closerto actor's age
-New girlfriend is married
-Actor is somehow involed with/married to someone else, not the young actress
I agree Milo & Hayden. As for #2 - Yuck and more Yuck.
ReplyDeleteThat 2nd one is killing me! I presume by foreign, Ent means not English speaking (aka: likely not British), but I only really know the German film industry. A listers from there that I know of are Til Schweiger, Moritz Bleibtreu and Benno Fuermann, though my German film knowledge is a bit rusty, and I don't see any underage girls in their recent films. The only French A lister I can think of is Daniel Auteuil, but I don't see any 16-year-olds in his recent films, either.
ReplyDeleteIf Britain is included, that's a whole other ballgame, and I would have to give that a think. I think parents a 16-year-old are less likely to be accepting of it if it's a Brit, however - but in places like France and Germany it would be somewhat acceptable. I also think the use of the word "foreign" is very specific and intentional. Anyone know the French industry (and current films) well and/or the Spanish industry?
@ Pinky - I don't get it
ReplyDeleteChad Michael Murray for one. Even if this specific item isn't him. . . I'm willing to bet he's cheating with a married woman anyway, but it's just not newsworthy.
ReplyDeleteKait - my first thought was Milo, too. I don't see where it states he's married in the BI, just that the new GF is married.
ReplyDeleteCMM is a good guess, too. I'll keep my opinions to myself but leaving your wife for a high schooler is one of the scummiest things you can do.
#2. I don't know. Not sure that I care.
#2 - You don't think it could be Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci? I hope not, although she deserves someone equal to her beauty.
ReplyDelete#1 - no clue, though I don't see Milo/Hayden being that too old for her. 9 years isn't it? That's not awful.
sorry, #1 is not milo and hayden...those two are googoo idiots for each other still...we'll see how long it lasts but they're still honeymooning, as they say.
ReplyDeleteI know the French industry and no young actress currently matches even remotely the profile for #2. We don't have currently any 16-year-old rising young star. And when there's one, she's almost always the daughter of another figure from the film industry, which would have been hinted at in the description.
ReplyDeletedn its because she's 18 not because of the age difference. There is a big difference in 18 to 30 than 30 to 40
ReplyDelete1)james woods? didnt he play the blind detective and always date girls a third of his age
ReplyDelete@KellySirkus - "And Bob's your Uncle" is an expression my British friends use to describe something very 'roundabout' and confusing. You know like, 'she was married to my cousin twice removed, and was also the niece of my grandfather on my mother's side.'
ReplyDeleteThis BI is not only confusing, but if it's about 2 people we've probably never heard about, who cares?
Or maybe I'm high. You decide ;)
Dave Annable
ReplyDeleteIf it's Vincent Cassel, it could be Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse from Eastern Promises (that is if my mat is right)
ReplyDeletemath, not mat
ReplyDeletecould be Cassel and Belluci.
ReplyDeleteEastern Promises:
Sarah-jeanne Labrosse, plays Tatiana
born august 16 1991
but she's canadian.
For some reason I want to say #2 is Mads Mikkelson even though he is super sexy and I hope it isnt him.
ReplyDelete@ pinky - well, if you're high, I'm jealous. Why does this week seem to be so long? It's only Wednesday? That's what I get for working last weekend, I guess.
ReplyDeleteeach of the two
ReplyDeleteunfortunately you may be right..... notice he does not say labrosse is european..... only that she if foreign and is a b-lister on euro circuit....... labrosse is canadian and all of her work seems to be in european cinema
i said unfortunately b/c i love belucci and thought she and cassel seemed like a beautiful couple
if not cassel then perhaps someone else in eastern promises?
Does anyone else find it really sad that there are so many candidates for no. 2?
ReplyDeleteAccording to IMDB, Cassel and Bellucci don't even live in the same country. She lives in London and he lives in Paris. Makes it more likely that it's them, no?
ReplyDeleteThe only person I can think of is Emma Watson. Can't remember how old the guy she's dating is, but I believe he's in his thirties. She's actually 17, but close enough, eh?
ReplyDeleteOlder means over 30?
ReplyDelete(Depression sets in)
Older means over 30?
ReplyDelete(Depression sets in)
Okay, I'm going to throw this out there. Yesterday Ent ran a bit about Emma Watson (and Johnny Borrell), how she's 16 and dating a much older guy. I don't know if this means anything, but thought I'd throw it into the mix.
ReplyDeleteNumber one has to be MAX BAER, JR.
ReplyDeleteJETHRO RIDES AGAIN!
Did Jethro snuff his porn star girlfriend?
ReplyDeleteEnquiring minds want to know.
For #2 I'm going with Mathieu Amalric and Ludivine Sagnier. Why?
ReplyDelete1. Mathieu is separated from his wife and is 43-ish
2. Ludvine is 17/18 years old
3. They are in at least two movies together
Real reason is that I just saw Mathieu in the Diving Bell and Butterfly today and he's on my mind. He's a sexy little frenchman, but oh, what a sad (and extremely good!) movie.
She's a "B lister... probably an unknown to many of you." Not Emma. The entire English-speaking world knows Emma.
ReplyDeleteEnty, using quotes and hyphens in the descriptions would help us read these, i.e. This "too-old-for-her-anyway" actor... Otherwise it's really hard to figure out what you're writing.
"Well over twice her age..." and she's about 16, so maybe he's 40ish?
LaBrosse will be 17 in August of this year, and Cassel is 41. Oooh, I bet you're all right and it's them. The dog.
I see he's done 2 films playing gangster Jacques Mesrine. I was at the Clignancourt flea market when Mesrine was killed there by police. Yeah, I'm old.
LSagnier was born in 1979.
ReplyDeleteOT:
ReplyDeleteENT - I don't know what possessed you to put up You Tube of Crowded House, but thank you from the bottom of my heart. They are my favorite band. I never even thought to look up their videos on You Tube, but now I can see everything I've missed over the years.
THANK YOU!! :)
Ludivine Sagnier is 28 or 29. It isn't she.
ReplyDeleteTo me, #1 reads that the actor is boyfriend/girlfriend with actress--having a fling with married woman closer to his age. But, the ring he wishes he could get out of is an engagement ring he gave his younger girlfriend. Hayden & Milo have been rumored to be engaged- so have Ryan Reynolds & Scarlett J. (although their age difference doesn't seem as extreme)
ReplyDeleteLike Laura I also immediately thought of James Woods for #1.
ReplyDeletejudi - I never really thought it was Emma - like you said, everyone knows who she is, and Ent said the guy is more than twice her age, which Johnny is not.
ReplyDeleteEarlier, Marnie mentioned Chad Michael Murray, who left his wife for a teenager, who he later became engaged to. I have no idea whether or not he's stepping out on her, but you know what they say about history repeating itself. Having said all this, I really have no clue. I'm done.
yeah, i got ludivine's age off by about a decade. so, nevermind........
ReplyDelete"Bob's your Uncle" means "There you have it", roughly
ReplyDelete"The parents of the actress know, but don't see anything wrong with it"
ReplyDelete"The parents of the actress know, but don't see anything wrong with it"
ReplyDeletethat sounds very french to me.
ITA, Princess Pea. A guy either cheats or he doesn't, no matter who he's with.
ReplyDeleteAlso agree, H.Montana., more than any other Europeans. I wonder if the parents maybe already knew the guy to be so okay with it. Not all FR parents would be. Haven't a clue for #1.
@nq: I'm quoting: "f Britain is included, that's a whole other ballgame, and I would have to give that a think. I think parents a 16-year-old are less likely to be accepting of it if it's a Brit, however - but in places like France and Germany it would be somewhat acceptable." - I don't know where you got your knowledge of European, specifically German and French ideas on age gaps, but let me ensure you that relationships between adults and juveniles are not appreciated in Europe either.
ReplyDeleteDon't think this one is Bellucci and Cassel- Enty would have mentioned if the wife was a celebrity in her own right.
ReplyDeletesauvage - when I lived in Germany, there were several girls in my class, aged 15/16, dating men about ten years older than they were. And given that, at least in Germany, the legal age of consent is 16, I found the general attitude, re: 15/16-year-olds having sex/making their own relationship-based decisions FAR more free than in the United States. Just my personal experience, but there you have it. I didn't mean any offense.
ReplyDeleteAnd, OMG, Cassel is a very good guess!
#1 - could it be any more vague???
ReplyDeleteCould #1 be Harrison Ford/Calista Flockhard?

If you must post negative comments, these must be respectful, as if you were speaking to the person in question face to face.
ranx like your wiki defintion of Bob's your uncle! Much better than the pinky one, which I've never heard from any Brit here - 'confusing'? LOL, it means simple as that, follow the instructions & voila! Bob's your uncle. Not confusing. I am confused by the French bigotry shown by some posters here though, possibly American? While Europeans in general may be less naive in attitude than Americans perhaps, the majority certainly don't condone paedophilia or having their underage daughters dating elder married men.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see any bigotry against the French, personally, nor do I feel my own comments were such (and were subjective statements made based on personal experience living in Europe for a number of years). When 16 is the legal age of consent, its understandable that some people in a culture/country would be more accepting of a 16-year-old being in such a relationship. Paedophilia only involves pre-pubescent individuals with adults, usually under the age of 12 (being okay with your/a 16-year-old dating a 30+-year-old is NOT tantamount to condoning paedophilia). This is more like a taboo, fairly inappropriate relationship, statutory rape in the US but not likely in the country in question. It's always going to get prickly when you discuss any blind involving young participants. *shrugs*
ReplyDeletenq I disagree. sauvage actually quoted you (see above) and h.montana's 'sounds very french to me' is bigoted, ignorant and uninformed. Great you may have done a little travelling (I'm doubting) but I am European born & bred. I can assure you that no responsible EDUCATED parent in any Western Europe country would be OK with it. That's trailer trash mentality, prevalent among all lower classes worldwide. Since you used the veritable Wiki as your source of info let me add the rest: "The term pedophile is also used colloquially to denote an adult who is sexually attracted to young adolescents, especially younger than the local age of consent."
ReplyDeleteLOL heather. I forsee a mad rush to Wiki to look up 'colloquialism. Yes people are ignorant all over. Here's a question - Why would people trust and QUOTE a source that can be EDITED by a four year old w/ computer access to defend flawed logic?
ReplyDeleteWell, what about the Bollywood film industry? It's foreign, and I think Ent has posted on some of its stars before.
ReplyDeleteVincent Cassel isn't "unheard of" in the US. He was in Ocean's 12 and Ocean's 13 and the original version of "Wicker Park".
ReplyDelete
