Sell Albums And They Would Even Love Britney
In response to the video obtained by The Sun of Amy Winehouse smoking crack, her record label Universal had this to say. "We are deeply disappointed and upset by these latest revelations and are doing everything we can to offer Amy our full support in dealing with her problems"
Of course, if Amy hadn't sold them a bazillion albums and made them truckloads full of cash, she would be getting dropped right now. However, since she does sell a crapload of albums, she gets the full support routine. She will continue to get their full support as long as she keeps showing up in the studio high or not each and every week.
Unlike film companies, record labels don't have to get insurance or a completion bond for a record. Plus since records can be done little pieces at a time, they really don't care what you do, how you do it or who you do and where just as long as your happy ass keeps recording, touring, and selling. You do those three things they will be happy and will even bring you little presents to make your life a little easier. Not that Universal would ever do such a thing. Nor am I implying it.
In case you haven't seen The Sun video, you can see it below. If it isn't working then head on over to their website and watch it there. Show it to your kids, and then tell them how the record company fully supports Amy. If she was the most incredible human on earth and didn't sell albums she would be out the door, but you can be a leech, and if you sell records, they love you. You might not want to share that last part with the kids. Just the crack house videos and what happens when you use do it yourself dye jobs that come from a bottle marked Clorox.
If she gets through all this then maybe someday she can join the cast of celebrity rehab 12
ReplyDeleteshe is just nasty. very talented but DAMN, someone help her!
ReplyDeleteWow. I have watched Paris' porn, footage of war and the injuries and other gruesomes but I have never felt as guilty as I do now. That was just horrible. Amy has no reason to stop doing drugs because the people that matter (her label) don't care enough. Wow, what a shame. Did anyone else notice the sound going out on the video or was it just me?
ReplyDelete...awful. Made me sad watching this...not entertaining in the least.
ReplyDeleteyeah, the sound went out for me too. not like I could understand half of their words anyways...
The record company fully ENABLES her. The word is enable, not support.
ReplyDeleteITA, Kristen. This is just disturbing.
ReplyDeleteStraight up, Ent.
ReplyDeletexoxo
poor girl. too much fame and money too quick....can't escape reality....like brit brit
ReplyDeleteBut why was she letting them film this???
ReplyDeletesomeone very close to me had a problem with addiction, they would be up for days on end, almost a week. name it: uppers, downers - any drug she will take. she and her druggie friends only cared about the next "high" - it was really sad. i see amy and i remember how devastated our family was, i hope her family gets her through before it's too late.
ReplyDeletei was wondering that also. who was filming it? a friend?
ReplyDeleteThat friend just earned more crack money. Leeches.
ReplyDeleteShe has nice tits for a crack whore.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame.
ReplyDeleteAwww dammit! Amy, Please go to rehab so you can try and salvage what' left of your music career!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this clip last night, all I could think about was Whitney Houston's infamous 20/20 interview:
Whitney: "Crack is whack! Crack is a poor man's drug! I wanna see the receipts! I wanna see the receipts from that drug dealer! I wanna see the receipts!"
Gamma...lol.
ReplyDelete"Let's get something straight. Crack is cheap. I make too much money to ever do crack."
