Which recently launched gossip Web site can't keep staff? "Our new editor went partying in Miami a few weeks ago and just sort of never came back," complains one insider, who now has to cover her 6 a.m.-3 p.m. shift. "It's awful."
boxwine - FYI - Page Six in the New York Post has been around forever, but the actual website, pagesix.com launched a few months ago. Easily verifiable.
pm gossipmonger is right, two different sites but the nypost site is known as page six with Richard Johnson. The new site pagesix.com is supposed to be breaking news but they are having major problems with Kathy Campbell and other weekly tab writers/editors they hired.
dammit, i want to work for a gossip site. seriously. but my life in PA is so freakin boring. gossip = omg why'd so and so buy that new stroller? kid #1 must have spilled milk in it *gasp*
Page six was expanded but it's not new at ALL. This is referring, IMO, to that new website started by that guy-I can't remember his name, but it's linked on TMZ and just started. Let me Google.
Odd that this came up, bossip.com just posted that they have an opening for an assistant editor today. I doubt Bossip is even on NYDN's radar, just interesting that this item came up on the same day.
Does EL have staff?
ReplyDeleteHahahaha!
ReplyDeleteDidn't one of the big tv gossip shows recently launch a website?
The most recently launched gossip website would be pagesix.com. And although Gawker isn't new, they're losing editors left and right.
ReplyDeleteSo my guess is pagesix.com.
Page six has been around FOREVER

ReplyDeletewww.pagesix.com is the new website for the new magazine that launched I believe last year or the year prior.
ReplyDeletewhere as: http://www.nypost.com/gossip/gossip.htm
formerly know as the page six gossip site is the gossip site that has been around forever.
Access Hollywood just redid their website.
ReplyDeletei think it may be pagesix.com, too.
ReplyDeleteit always seems so sloppy - not anything like the original on the new york post.
Good guess. I went to pagesix.com yesterday by accident and I was surprised at how crappy it was.
ReplyDeleteI read yesterday that the 3am girls have new 3am girls....so...probably them.

ReplyDeleteThe PageSix site is pretty awful. It's like they wanted to do what Gawker does, but the writing is terribly bland.
ReplyDeletePageSix.com gets my vote.
It's just so hard to get good help these days.
