  2. I can't remember where i read the comment that "...women would rather have a dead Steve McQueen than a live Ben Affleck...", but that picture reminded me of how true it is (for me at least, and Steve died before I was born).

  4. 10 very stylish man, and Catherine Deneuve was married to one and had a child with another. Now that is a statement in style!

diva/reese: I had a similar reaction. Just scrolling through the photos, I thought... Dang, I want to dress like Steve McQueen. Or Tom Ford, but I have a feeling I could probably afford a Steve McQueen wardrobe easier.

  10. Steve in The Thomas Crowne Affair is pure sex on a stick. He even made Faye Dunaway look good.

  11. My mom took me to see Bryan Ferry a few years back, anf it was very uncomfortable. She was MOANING the whole show through. Making comments about how HOT and DELICIOUS he was. How SEXY his LEGS were.

I still cringe a bit when I think about it, but I do love Bryan Ferry'S MUSIC.

Bob Dylan's appearance on the list was jarring. I don't think the hair was on purpose. Maybe they liked his outfit?

  15. he was a great artist but what was stylish about Basquiate?
    baggy jeans n trainers?

  16. I do agree..no cool like old school. Steve, Elvis & Bowie..they don't make em like that anymore. I had a friend who was obsessed with the young Elvis & swore he was mulatto. Seeing this phot, she may have had a point. What a gorgeous, gorgeous young man. And Bowie! Is Iman the luckiest woman on earth or what? The list would be complete for me if Bob Marley was on it too.

  17. Always been a big fan of Bowie--but he just looks like such a little kid in that pic!

I had a friend in high school who's father had an uncanny resemblence to Elvis--he was weird as all hell, though, so now I don't find Elvis sexy at all!! lol

And when was a dirty tshirt, jeans, a leather jacket and unwashed, unkept hair ever 'stylish'? Dylan may be a lot of things, but an attractive, well put together man he ain't.

  18. Why isn't Johnny Depp listed? I hope he is, because honestly I love the clothes he wears. Now we need a best undressed male list. Please?

  19. Where has Marcello Mastroianni been all of my life?!?

Bob Dylan doesn't fit, in my opinion.

    I would add Lenny Kravitz.

  20. George Best looks like a young Bill Murray.
And everytime I look at Elvis I see a freak who went after a 14 year old (I know, her parents are just as much to blame), refused to have sex with her after she gave birth because he couldn't sleep with a "mother", took pills to sleep and pills to stay up, and died in a toilet.

I wish to God I didn't think that.

  21. This is a nice post! I'm looking forward to more. Thanks ENT!

I still can't believe Jerry Hall left Bryan Ferry. I don't think I could do that. Ever.

Dylan fits, just not in a conventional way. It's not always solely about the looks. You have to admit he had his own style. He was very unique in his time. Probably still unique now??
