Today's Blind Items

This B list television actor on a very hit drama was out last Friday night at a club. The thing is that it is a gay club, and as he was leaving with his male friend they got jumped by some assholes and our actor was beat up pretty good. The actor's friend wanted to call the cops and report the hate crime, but our actor said no because it would come out that he was at the club and focus on the fact that it was a gay club and he has the world convinced right now that he is 100% straight and that is how he wants it. They did accept some help from some other patrons who came out of the club shortly thereafter. Maybe they shouldn't have even accepted that, because it is one of those patrons that has been spilling the beans on the who and where of this.

WGA Blind Item

I know that most of you will have no idea who the writers or the producers are who are highlighted in these WGA items, but the writers and producers know who they refer to because to them they are barely blind items.

This film writer started off in television and got kicked off the hit show he was working on because he couldn't stop doing coke all day at work, and wasn't turning anything out that was any good. Now, after one top 10 movie last year, and another upcoming, he is being lauded for his genius by the public. Some genius. He stole the idea for the last script from the pile of them at his agent's office. The real writer who did come up with the idea is about to sue and plans on dragging the genius writer and the A list star of the film into the middle of it all with a big noisy press conference if a settlement isn't reached.

Who's doing that Tom Cruise movie? I hope he gets sued for something.

  2. Shemar Moore? He's perceived as very gay friendly but straight..although years ago he posed for some saucy gay postcards that i happend upon in a gay bookstore not long ago. Ya i was there, big deal.

  3. Jax I'm more shocked by your knowing who Shemar Moor is than what kind of store you were in. Help me out. Who is that?

  4. sorry - forgot the e on Moore there.

  5. Apatow didn't write any of the top 10 films last year.

But Paul Haggis did... 'Casino Royale' - and, suspiciously, he worked on LA Law for only 4 episodes...

  6. #1 James Spader????

"very hit drama" Hmm... time to look at the ratings for the last month in the top 10: Greys Anatomy, CSI (Thurs), Desperate Housewives, NCIS, Criminal Minds, House, CSI: Miami, Cold Case (hovering, but I'll give it to them.) (Heroes and Private Practice endup in the top 20, but not sure if that still makes it "very hit").

First inkling was Wentworth Miller, but people aren't convinced he's 100% gay and Prison Break isn't a hit.

I'm not feeling Shemar (though I'd like to... flashing back to those nudie photos *blink, blink* ok, fine now). B-list is <3 yrs right?

Someone else can IMDb how long some of those shows are on. I think DH is only in Season 3

  8. Is 'Boston Legal' a "very hit drama"?

  9. I used to see Gene Siskel in the gay bars all the time, and he was married with three kids. I don't think he was gay, just had friends who were gay. It's too bad these actors have to hide everything.

Here's a list of the top 10 box office movies of 2006:

    1 Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest BV $423,315,812 4,133 $135,634,554 4,133 7/7 12/7
    2 Night at the Museum Fox $250,863,268 3,768 $30,433,781 3,685 12/22 6/24
    3 Cars BV $244,082,982 3,988 $60,119,509 3,985 6/9 10/19
    4 X-Men: The Last Stand Fox $234,362,462 3,714 $102,750,665 3,690 5/26 9/28
    5 The Da Vinci Code Sony $217,536,138 3,757 $77,073,388 3,735 5/19 8/20
    6 Superman Returns WB $200,081,192 4,065 $52,535,096 4,065 6/28 11/2
    7 Happy Feet WB $198,000,317 3,804 $41,533,432 3,804 11/17 5/10
    8 Ice Age: The Meltdown Fox $195,330,621 3,969 $68,033,544 3,964 3/31 9/7
    9 Casino Royale Sony $167,445,960 3,443 $40,833,156 3,434 11/17 3/18
    10 The Pursuit of Happyness Sony $163,566,459 3,169 $26,541,709 2,852 12/15 3/18

Is it safe to assume that since this person had to steal someone's idea, it's not The Pursuit of Happyness or Da Vinci Code, which were based on books, or Casino Royale, Superman Returns, X-Men or Pirates, which were all continuing themes of movies before them?

  10. I'm predicting this will be another blind that is never revealed because a settlement will be reached.

  11. It's not Paul Haggis for the writer.

Paul has been a H-wood writer forever, and he also exec produced the tv show he worked on last year--The Black Donnelly's (named after the infamous Donnelly murders outside of London Ontario, where we're both from). Very family/hometown proud. He also just started Black Friar's Productions (again, named after a "famous" landmark in London ON--held a local competition for the logo with the local visual arts school--the next time you see the logo for BFP, just remember it was designed by a Canadian high school student!), so I don't think he really needs to be stealing things from his agent, if he still uses one.

I think it's got to be someone younger--Judd Apatow fits the age, but I'm not familiar with his other work.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Can't be Judd.

He wasn't kicked off Freaks and Geeks or Undeclared.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Jesse Metcalfe for #1?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I thought George Eads was already rumoured to be gay. Didn't Ent or Blind Item Rehash have a BI in which George Eads had been doing it with a male co-star?

My guess is Adrian Pasdar of Heroes. Yeah, he's married to that Dixie Chick, but that doesn't mean he isn't gay.

    ReplyDelete
  15. hahah Jesse Metcalf perceived as straight..if it was him he got jumped for being a douche, not for being gay.
WENTWORTH MILLER KIDS...it fits and a clot of people think he's striaght...i do not.

Littleolme-Shemar Moore is a hot piece o man on Criminal Minds and Y&R before that.

Gay ,straight, thin or fat Jax would like to get with that!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. My heart is broken - George Eads gay??? :::sigh::: Sadly, I guess I always knew - who else in an interview would say that he found firefighters hot.

  17. Ok not to play Devil's advocate but WTF is the whole CDANCON from Hez..and more importantly wtf IS Hez?

    Hez? (echo)

  18. Hill Harper from CSI:NY ?

  19. Shemar Moore....one word: YUM.

    No clue about the writer.

  20. Concerning the film writer, I'm not 100 percent sure the top 10 movie from last year is the one he stole the idea for. The plagiary could concern the current movie, the big hit to come.

However, I have strong doubts about Haggis. The next Bond is an original story while Casino Royale was based on a Fleming novel (Haggis was praised in putting together a much better script than in the previous episodes) but he doesn't come with the story: it's still the same pair who's in charge of it since the Brosnan era. Haggis is in charge of rewriting the drafts.

So, it leaves few choices. PotC was a sequel written by a main pair of writers. A Night At The Museum is based on a novel. And so on. Judd Apatow? No way. He was a showrunner for years, worked on The Larry Sanders Show and was never fired.

I'm actually thinking of Steve Conrad. He has no TV credits but if the blind item was only hired on a hit show but never delivered anything good, he wouldn't be credited. Conrad was sole writer on "The Pursuit of Happyness". He has completed, as a writer and director, "Quebec" starring John C. Reilly and Sean William Scott. On the other hand, I've never heard of Conrad being praised for his genius!

  21. Jax, I'm on a deadline right now... sorry. I have 4 freelance assignments due Friday and I spent a little too much time goofing around recently. Worth it, but I'm paying the price this week.

I am soooo sorry to keep you and the others waiting, but mama gotsta pay the rent!

  22. Milo for #1?

And I suppose the LA cops will do zero to find who beat him up anyway and would probably give the perpetrators medals.

I can't understand the mentality of people who hang around gay clubs in order to beat men up. That's disgusting behavior.

  23. Jax- Hez writes this blog.

  25. And Jax..... may I explain Hez's statement from above.....

Jax- I've been trying so hard to keep this charade going. Every time I get a great idea my loyal CDAN readers can sink their teeth into, waiting for my explanation- it blows up. First there was the fact that I couldn't prove DS was ZX. Then I made up that whole Shimmy/Timmy crappola. I thought that 3 strangers showing up to talk gossip would make it all official... but then I realized that was another dumb idea. So I claimed that my battery died, I love Halloween, and have deadlines. Then, you guys will all forget about this whole CDANCON! Just like you forgot about all the other things I have fibbed about here. Mama gotsta photoshop!!

But Jax- I personally believe that Hez is cleaning DS's apartment.

  26. anon--

    You are a horrible troll.

Take your sorry ass over to Fight Sport (or some ohter site) where trolls like you flourish.

We don't need another key board warrior jonesing for that last bit of stale Halloween loot that you stole from the neighbor's kid, trying to practice some foul fiction writing because Ellen went on re-runs during her dog crisis.

  27. I second Hello Kitty!

    1. I don't think its shemar moore, I saw a picture of him at the WGA strike...no bruises.

  28. Hi girls! You're so sweet! I was trying to explain Hez's statement. I wasn't trying to crush your dreams, or hurt anyone. It was just my observation. Were you both at the CDANCON? I hope it was a wonderful time. I bet DS is calling you guys right now to make sure you got home safely. The only question I have is.... WTF does this mean Hello Pussy: "We don't need another key board warrior jonesing for that last bit of stale Halloween loot that you stole from the neighbor's kid, trying to practice some foul fiction writing because Ellen went on re-runs during her dog crisis."? It makes no sense at all.

  29. Anon - I 3rd Hello Kitty. And if it were Hez why would she put her face out there to be assoociated with this Blog? If part of CDAN is the Blogger wants to remain anonymous, he OR she wouldn't show up in public. It makes it too easy for Celebs to figure out the identity of Ent. Please find a Blog where people have no logic and will buy anything you say. I think you'd be happier there.

As for the BI #1, it seems pretty clear to me that this guy comes off as very straight and has us all fooled. We need to think of men we'd never guess were gay. I doubt there are even questions about his sexuality.

So, who can we think of that's in a hit show, B-list and undoubtedly straight?

    ReplyDelete
  30. anon--

I don't knwo why you bother getting out of bed in the morning to scratch your ass and fart in public.

You give the primordial ooze that gave you life a bad name.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Miss x.... I think you buy anything ent says.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hello Kitty is being very mean today. You're very vulgar.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I guess you guys are right.... I fart in public (where ever that came from?, I give "primordial ooze" a bad name, I am a horrible troll. You'd think with all of the injustices in the world, rapists, pedophiles, murderers, women-beaters, and child abusers... that silly me stating my opinion on a blog really wouldn't merit those names and your hatred. I guess it was silly to think that an opinion is just an opinion. I'm going to go stomp on some bunnies so that I am truly deserving of Miss Pussy's anger.

(Is that you Hez????!!!!) I know I go by more than one screen name too!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. People are really still going on about the fakeness? Blah - boring.

That writer story sounds familiar, but really I bet it happens a lot that writers get kicked off shows for being too coked up and/or not producing good work.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm thinking George Eads, too.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Here's what I don't get:

If an actor wanted to appear Straight to the public, why on Earth would he go to a gay club in L.A.? The Paps are everywhere AND every other person has a camera on their cell phone. I'm sure there would be a pic of this somewhere.

Also, wouldn't there be more security surrounding these clubs?

I don't think the first blind item is true. If it is true, it's not Wenty Miller cuz I don't think Prison Break was shut down and they film in Texas. Also, Prison Break isn't a hit show. It probably would be one of the CSI or Heroes actors.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Damn! Anon you always have your opinion, but how long are you going to go on and on about Hez being Ent? It's tiresome!

    Question: Are you "some" too?

Some if you are not "Anon" I apologize for the link, but sometimes you question the DS stuff too. And how long ago was that?! Can we move on?! Puh-lease!

    ------------

George Eads...he's sooo hawt, but it wouldn't surprise me.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ok, I re-read the BI, and it doesn't mention it was in L.A.

So if this item is true, perhaps it was outside of LA. Are any "very hit dramas" filmed outside of L.A.?

    ReplyDelete
  39. I know Hez - and Ent is no Hez.

    ReplyDelete
  40. i just think it's fuckin hilarious that someone going by the name "Anon" is questioning the validity of anything.

If this is what it takes for you to get attention in your life then i'm just sad for your ass.

  41. Remember kids - if you don't feed the trolls they will go away! they are such sad little things though aren't they? LOl

1 - for some reason i am thinking NYC instead of LA. What shows film there... ? Off to research

    2 - ?? no idea

What about Dominic Monaghan? He and Kate broke up. I figured that'd happen what with his character getting killed off Lost and all.

  45. "PRISON BREAK" starring (the beautiful & closeted) WENTWORTH MILLER films in the Chicago area.

    ReplyDelete
  46. ...Actually, PRISON BREAK films more in the DALLAS area now, due to its proximity to more rural areas/towns.

Makes more sense, anyway... I'm soooooo gonna get in trouble for saying this, but I see that whole "beating up a gay guy for sport" thing as being a wee bit more popular in TEXAS than in Chicago. (Or in LA, for that matter.)

    ReplyDelete
  47. SCOOTIE!!!! I love ya like a brother. Thanks as always for the Hezidarity.

That goes for the rest of you, too.

    ReplyDelete
  48. um...Prison Break isn't a "very hit drama"

    ReplyDelete
  49. Um... How long have you been reading this blog?

Ent isn't exactly known for his "precise" use of wording, you know. He's probably not referring to Prison Break in this blind, but the show is it's 3rd season, and most people wouldn't know who Wentworth Miller was without it... In Ent-math, that could very well equal a "hit" show.

So, save your sarcasm for the truly ridiculous guesses. (Personally, I don't post sarcastic comments about anyone's guesses... But that's just me.) :)
