Munchkins Get A Star

No, it's not gossip or salacious or sensational, but it is heartwarming. You know I am a sucker for Old Hollywood and heartwarming, and this classifies as both. Yesterday, The Munchkins from The Wizard Of Oz were finally given their star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Only nine of the 124 original munchkins are alive today, and I bet none of them has ever seen dollar one from the Dunkin Donuts people. Seven of the Munchkins were at the ceremony yesterday as well as Judy Garland's son Joey Luft. Directors George Lucas and Steven Spielberg had backed the campaign to see the actors bestowed with the honor. Lucas says, "With their joyous send-off for Dorothy, they secured their place in the hearts of movie fans."

  1. I am probably the only person who has never, at any point in life, liked this movie one whit, but it is nice to see the Munchkins getting their due.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow snarky posters and our beloved Enty!

finally hollywood did a good thing!
