An amazing woman that will be missed? What the hell? Why is everyone just giving Kanye's mom some kind of lovefest? The woman is responsible for the most arrogant fuck the world has ever seen, then dies during an ELECTIVE surgery that her son probably paid for...and I'm supposed to have sympathy? If I saw Kanye on the street I'd probably laugh at him, anyway! People are saying "oh its so sad, so tragic"...tragic my ass. Dying during plastic surgery, the absolute epitome of vanity, seems almost like comic irony to me, considering the fruit of her loins...
It's amazing how cruel people can be. She is still someone's mother. She is still someone's sister and she is still someone's daughter. Regardless of the reason that she died, the people around her are hurting because she is no longer with them. For somebody to state that they would laugh at Kanye while he is grieving over the loss of his mother, is one of the most cruel, insensitive, and animalistic thing a person can say.
Even worse than laughing at someone when their mom died, to me, is giving false affectations to a person you dont even care about, so you can have an excuse to report on their death!
Sorry, still dont have sympathy for a rich bitch dying during elective surgery. Cant and wont. No one cares about my pain, complete strangers wouldnt give a shit if MY mom died, why should I care about theirs just because they're famous? Give me a break!
I guess sometimes one has to go through pain of their own before they can appreciate when someone else is hurting, whether you know them or not. How sad that you have to personally know someone before you can feel empathy for them.
If your mother died and you posted it here, I guarantee you that most everyone here would give a shit.
She has always struck me as a pretty together woman. She became a college professor, tried to raise her son right and keep him on the straight and narrow.
Millions of women undergo cosmetic surgery each year, and usually it is very routine. Unfortunately, it is surgery and things can and will go wrong.
Kanye West is not my favorite recording artist, but he has undeniable talent, has worked hard and obviously loved and respected his mother. It is clear in that video. So I do feel very bad for him, it must have been a terrible shock.
Being rich doesn't mean you are immune to tragedy or that it doesn't hurt just as much.
The person who posted the hateful thing above - I feel sorry for you, because you are obviously missing a chunk of humanity somewhere in your soul.
*shrugs* You'd SAY you gave a shit...but would you really? For most people, its empty words. I would never personally do anything to harm anyone, as I'd never want to cause them pain. But I'm certainly not going to pretend to be sympathetic for a man I absolutely freaking disgust and the mother that fed the ego that got him there. I think anyone here told me now that they'd care if my mom died, I just wouldnt believe them. Sure, maybe inside, you'd be like "Oh thats too bad." And part of me says that about this woman, too. But you wouldnt be bearing any particular burden of pain in your heart about my loss, like someone who knew me and cared about me would. So yeah, sorry Kanye that sucks to hear, but I am not about to feel sorry for you or her.
You go right ahead and judge me, I know it makes you all feel better inside to put yourself in a moral position above someone else, because it makes you somehow superior. At least I'm honest. Maybe a little cynical, but honest.

Because that's not at all what you did with your original post...
Trix, we wouldn't break down crying and gnashing our teeth if your mother passed away, but yeah, some would be there for you if you wanted us to be, even if it was just an email to try to comfort you or something.
The internet is weird. None of us "know" each other, and yet we kind of do in a strange way....
i just hope when my mother passes that she isn't judged for how i turned out but rather remembered for what great things she did depsite my shortcomings.
Judge me all you want. I'm sure each and every one of you, deep down, is selfish and cares more about yourself than others. Its the human condition, the basis of survival. Get used to it.
Do I have empathy for others? You bet. Do I have empathy for arrogant pricks who would never think twice to give a shit about someone like me? Fuck no.
Of course it's human nature to care more about yourself than others, but empathy has to do with feeling the pain of another. I feel Kanye's pain, no matter what kind of person he or his mother was.
I do think it is ironic that she died having a procedure that falls in line with what he rapped about in "All Falls Down." Very sad.
that is such a horrible way to think... to only care about others who will care equally for you.
don't you know you get back what you put out? no wonder you're such an obviously unhappy person if all you're putting out is all this negative shit out there. I really hope for your sake karma doesn't sneak up on you one day and snatch somebody from YOUR life, jackass.

ReplyDeleteCondolences to Kanye and family.

ReplyDeletenot caring is one thing- posting a lengthy bit about why none of us should give a shit and laugh in his face is another.
seriously that's fucked up.

The biggest problem in the world today is that no one gives a shit about anyone but themselves. It's like an epidemic.
ReplyDeleteI shouldn't say "no one", btw. Just too many people have zero empathy - it kind of scares me a little.
ReplyDeleteI'm not trying to feel superior to Trixie, I'm just always floored when I encounter attitudes like this.

Damn you Enty!!!
ReplyDeleteI am freaking sitting here, tears streaming.
I am not a Kanye fan. But my heart does go out to him, he was so close to her, it was obvious. He must be heart broken.
