Andrew Morton Running For His Life

Of all the e-mails I receive and there are lots and lots and lots, by far the number one question everyone asks is, "When is the Andrew Morton book coming out?" Like I tell everyone, an ISBN was issued a long time ago in anticipation of the book, but that rumor was, Andrew had given up because it was too difficult to find out anything that had not been said before.

Apparently, Andrew has not given up, and has instead angered the Scientologists to the point that he is now in hiding. Morton told the Sunday Express "I have received threats from the Scientologists and things have become pretty heavy - to the extent that it's almost more than my lawyers can handle. I've sold my flat and I'm not telling anyone where I'm moving to. I intend to disappear for a while."

The reason for the renewed threats is that Andrew Morton's forthcoming book questions his relationship with Katie Holmes, his controversial beliefs and his sexuality. According to In Touch, Holmes is "petrified" about the revelations in the biography, which is expected to hit shelves next year.

Now expected to hit shelves next year is something that has been said repeatedly over the past few years. In my opinion, Andrew had been stymied and was just going to give up until Tom got together with Katie. Because she had friends at one point in her life that were not regulated by Tom, she may have let things slip to them before being cut off from them permanently. Using those friends, Andrew may have found enough to come up with a book. Maybe. It could just be Andrew trying to let us know he is still out there.

As of now, the book is scheduled for January 2008, which would indicate we would be getting leaks soon. Let's hope so.

  1. is it really necessary to risk your life to expose Tom Cruise? Seems to me Mr. Cazy is doing a pretty good job of making an ass of himself.

  2. ENTY, could you please post Lainey's blind?

    my guesses were either
    Nicole Kidman
    or
    Pamela Anderson

  3. For the Lainey blind, I say Ashley Judd - sounds like her.

  4. I like Ashley Judd for this one. She's currently filming Helen in Vancouver, according to IMDb, and for the past few years I've only ever seen her out at her husband's races. Nicole's been working pretty steadily for the past few years, even if she's turning out to be Box Office Poison, and Pam Anderson isn't working on any current projects that I can find. I don't think it's either of them.

I wouldn't be horribly disappointed if this was Julia Roberts though; she's been pretty low-profile doing the mom thing for a while now, but she's got several live-action projects on the way.

  8. Oh, yes, Ashley Judd is a great guess.
Didn't she go to "rehab" to deal with her co-dependency issues?
That must be some therapist's technique.
    Sounds almost Scientological

  9. I'd change the name for commenting at CDAN, but that changes it across the board at other blogger blogs I comment on (or if I ever decide to use blogger instead of lj). I promise to only ever be me here though. :)

  10. I think it's more crazy that anyone's risking their life at all just because they might want to critique the Cruise camp's lifestyle. In fact it's creepy how Scientologists can't seem take any criticism at all without some kind of overkill response.

Every religion under sun has taken hits, I don't see what makes theirs any different.

Mr. Morton, don't end up like the dude with the "wedding" pictures.

Well, in the face of tyranny, SOMEONE has to take a stand...I'm glad someone still is! Nothing worth having ever comes easy. Scientology as an organization is dangerous and a threat to free speech with all of their mugging and threats. Theres a line between religious tolerance, and aiding and abetting criminals, and the U.S. government is toeing it right now.

  13. I actually want to read this book, if it ever gets published. Simply cause I like to have some type of explanation to why he is such a nut case...

  14. I'd love to read the book if it ever comes out, but if they're threatening him this much now, imagine what they'll do if it does ever hit the shelves.

I have an ominous feeling that another tragedy is in the not too distant future....:(

  16. not too mention the fact that the stores that will carry the book will be bullied into dropping it as well...

  17. Apparently the big rumor is that he has a longtime boyfriend in the U.K. somewhere. One of the tabloids had gotten pics of them together and he sued the tabloid and got a settlement.

  18. I thought the big rumor was Tommyboy in a red wrestling suit, and getting it up the ass in while "wrassling".

  19. I know it's late to post but there's an even bigger rumour - Tom Cruise and David Miscavige, the grand poobah(and closeted homosexual) of Scientology are supposed to have a very "close" relationship . I think THAT is the big story they want to keep quiet.

  20. Well according to Barnes and Noble.com, the book will be released on January 15th. If they have it available for pre-order it must be printed and about ready for shipping. I'm surprised we haven't had more rumors. I'll probably read it because I can't imagine anything that would annoy La Belle Cruise more than having millions of people reading something he's had no control over.
