Amy Winehouse Drug Raid

Last night everything was the picture of perfection for Amy Winehouse. She actually looked hot at a dinner date with her dad, and then went home to her deathbed husband. However that all came crashing to a stop today as police stormed Amy's house shortly after her husband was seen speeding off in a Mercedes driven by an unknown person. Although police are not commenting, there are reports that Amy's husband is allegedly dealing in massive amounts of drugs and was the reason for the raid. Amy was not mentioned in the reports and appears to be in no danger of being arrested for any crime.

  1. The word 'Hot' should never be in the same sentence as Amy Winehouse. Sorry jmo!

  2. MK at Dlisted is reporting that the raid has nothing to do with drugs and didn't involve Amy herself. I wonder what's up.

Just remember, if its drugs involved....this is the British judicial system we're talking about here. Blake would probably only receive a sentence of 30 lashes with a wet noodle.

  4. brend, I was thinking the same.
he could be handing out dope at a preschool and they'd just give him a fine.

kim, hot can refer to her before meth ravaged her. The curvy, fully-toothed Amy was quite the looker.

Hmmm they SAY it isnt drugs but what else could provoke a full scale raid on the house? I seriously cannot think of anything else it could be...but then, when a rocker in England gets busted for drugs, they get a parade and lollipops with their likeness passed out to the panting masses...so...yeah I dont know on this one...

Even more interesting, it was a "raid". What in the hell provokes a raid, instead of a search warrant?

Sounds like his departure beforehand either resulted in the raid, or was because he was tipped off.

    This will be realllll inneresting....

  7. the saddest part is that Amy will be even more "in love" with him now. She'll be even more compelled to rescue and defend him.
Maybe if her parents just got her into therapy to deal with her co-dependency issues, all the other sh!t would go away.
Something tells me her dad is well aware of all of this. He knew this raid was going down. He came and got her out of the house (under the guise of "lunch") she got suspicious and called her junkie/dealer/c@ck and warned him to get out.
Either way, I really think her dad has a lot to do with this investigation and raid.

  8. i think this is so so sad. I know alot of us experimented with drugs when we were younger and some developed addicttions, but there is something different about Amy's addictions, its just so sad to see her like this and i really do feel for her. unfortunately the time old cliche of the only person that can help you under these circumstances is you still rings true and somehow i dont think Amy is ready to help herself. I hope that changes soon before something awful happens.

  9. Wait - it's her spokesman who is saying it has nothing to do with drugs and doesn't involve her. I wouldn't exactly take this as gospel. What then, they're raiding her place because her husband is a terrorist?

Here's an excerpt from a U.K. article on it:

A spokesman for Ms Winehouse said: "The only thing I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with drugs and that Amy is fine and she has not been charged or arrested."

  10. I believe that it isn't drugs, because that wouldn't have caused them to take possession of video equipment, unless he videotaped himself dealing major weight.
