The Peninsula Hotel Must Be Thrilled
The Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse-esque trek through the various upscale hotels in the Los Angeles area began yesterday at the Peninsula Hotel. The guests at the hotel who pay $475 a night minimum must be thrilled with all the extra noise and disruption they are enduring. According to reports, shortly after Britney checked in, she sent one of her people, possibly her driver off to buy either meth or cocaine. A camera crew followed the driver thinking Britney might be in the car and saw a transaction being completed. Meanwhile the cops had to come and arrest an entire X17 crew because they allegedly attempted to break into the hotel and allegedly beat up a security guard. TMZ has this little mishap on tape but hasn't identified who the crew worked for. The fact that it was an X17 crew has been reported elsewhere.
With their hotel turning into a war zone, the staff at the Peninsula are no doubt counting down the minutes until check out time. and Britney finds her hotel for tonight. Whatever happened to the good old days when a star would just binge in one hotel room and stay there until they ran out of money or died.
Ent -- a question: please take a at Brit's lawyer's comments: http://breakingnews.nypost.com/dynamic/stories/B/BRITNEY_SPEARS_CUSTODY?SITE=NYNYP&SECTION=HOME
ReplyDeleteHe seems to be minimizing the reasons for the custody ruling, almost hinting that once she gets the CA license and takes that pesky little drug test, this nonsense will be forgotten.
Raoul Felder (big-time divorce counsel) is all over NY TV saying it's over, there's no way she'll ever get the kids back.
Is Spears' lawyer shining her on, or trying to keep her calm until they can figure out what to do next?
Also -- will she at least get visitation rights? thanks.
Why would X17 have to break in?
ReplyDeletearen't they Britney's BFF's - and ONLY friends, at that?
I'm surprised she didn't just invite them up to her room to chill.
Wait, is that true that the photogs saw a drug buy go down last night?
What a MORON!!!!!!
I think the Britney train is heading for a wreck larger then Anna Nicole's...
ReplyDeleteTonight the Peninsula, tomorrow night this place:

I know people who had their kids taken away for similar circumstances - doing drugs and neglecting the kids. They've never gotten them back.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, addiction is so strong, you have to want the kids more than the high. Although to normal people, it seems the choice is clear, to addicts, very few of them are able to make that choice. That's why they were neglecting the kids in the first place - drugs were the priority.
Secondly, the courts set the bar so high - that compliance requires absolute diligence. Most normal non-addicted parents would have trouble jumping through all the hoops. Addicts get tired and worn down by the requirements and just give up. Particularly if a family member or ex-spouse has the kids, it's easier to say "hey, they are taken care of, I can now do as I please", than to actually fight their demons, and fight the courts also.
These people (that I know) also destroyed all their relationships with family and friends, because it was sickening to watch them destroy themselves, and sickening to us, that they were willing to sacrifice their kids to get high. They like their lifestyle and have no desire to change it.
I don't see Britney ever getting the kids back, and I don't ever see her recovering from the hole she's found herself in - mainly because it's clear that she likes being where she is, and she doesn't desire change.
tonight the Pensinula..tomorrow the morgue.
ReplyDeleteEl..i have heard that Brits money is untouchable right now and that she is selling her pictures to pay for her drugs...true?
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't these dumbasses tape the drug buy? Makes you wonder if it's true.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Britney have a house? Why does she have to check in to a hotel?
ReplyDeleteJax - that makes a lot of sense - all the trips out with the boys, all the costume changes etc...
ReplyDeleteI think it was AP who told Ent. that things are really, really bad in a star/addict's life when the junk isn't free anymore/readily available....
Off topic Britney question:
ReplyDeleteIs her hairline actually receding or does it just apper that way due the bad choice of hair clips?
Paparazzi have gotten out of hand -- X17, TMZ, everyone. Time for the legislatures to do something about it.
ReplyDeleteDid England do anything after Princess Diana's death?
Laura, my question exactly! She has a frickin mansion to do her drugs in!!! Why do it at a hotel?
ReplyDeleteAlso, folks here are saying "neglect". I have not read anywhere where those boys were neglected by Britney. She just failed to do what the judge ordered her to do!
She married this gold diggin bum and she is letting him win! Brit must live in a fantasy world.
And to the post about the paps getting out of control, absolutely correct! Some celebs can barely get in their damn car and pull away without all of the lights flashing!
Maybe her people moved her out of the house for the night while they clear out the kids' stuff and shift it to K-Fed's home. It would be so upsetting to see their bits and pieces being hauled out in boxes and hefty bags.
ReplyDeleteAnd she seems to lead such a disorganized (in the clinical sense) existence that maybe they just want to give the house and grounds a thorough cleaning so she can make a fresh start. The film clip of her getting out of her car at the Peninsula made her seem pretty out of it.
