What would you do if there was a family ready to kill each other over money and lost wills and who would get who and who was the whore and who was the saint and it turned out there wasn't any money? That is what the family of Luciano Pavarotti is discovering. That $400 million dollar fortune? It turns out he was counting 100 grand bars like they were really $100K. That is a bunch of candy, but hey, the man loved his candy.
Pavarotti didn't just die poor, he died broke. Actually worse than broke. He died owing almost $24M. He had overdrafts on the amount of $14M and mortgages totaling $10M. That whole overdraft thing that the banks run is a big scam and so I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has seen his bill run up a little. Of course my bill is about $400 and once I head over to the loans until payday place I should be all good.
Luciano obviously was writing some checks to pay that $10M in mortgages and now something is going to have to be done. I still think there is going to be a war because there are royalties and probably unreleased recordings and those should probably be enough to pay the bills and at least take the estate back to even.
I wouldn't worry too much about the daughters. The grown ones seem to have a head for business and the youngest daughter has a mom who is a gold digger par excellence. At some point I would expect the family to try and make some bucks of Luciano's name or image by some kind of licensing deal for soap or razors, or getting an opera CD when you buy a tank of gas. They could also open a Grazieland and everyone can tour Luciano's house and kitchen and show you his 100 grand stash. $400 million worth.
Vultures.
ReplyDeletewow...he was broke? Well medical bills aren't getting lower and he had a golddigging wife. Yeah, it adds up.
