Pete Doherty Gave Amy Winehouse The Drugs That Almost Killed Her

On the night Amy Winehouse, overdosed and almost died, she was given a speedball which is a combination of coke and heroin. Previous to that night she had never tried them together. On the urging of Pete she tried one for the very first time and almost immediately began having problems and was eventually rushed to the hospital.

As soon as it became obvious that medical attention was going to be needed, Pete left the hotel room and wasn't seen again and hasn't tried to get in touch with Amy wince that night either.

Amy and Pete have known each other for a year, and Amy is one of the reasons that Kate got so pissed about Pete cheating. Turns out that Pete and Amy have slept together more than once with the last time being a week or so before Amy got married.
