NY Daily News Blind Item

Which famous British vocalist, now happily settled down and living in the States, made a living selling Ecstasy in London nightclubs during his '90s career slump?

  1. How about George Michael?

  2. George Michael? He is pretty famous, had a terrible career slump in the 90s AND now lives in Dallas, Texas. He's been pretty forthright with his past drug usage, so it makes some sense.

  3. Hate to say it, but I think it might be Sting. He lives in NY and this is a NY Daily News BI.

I do not think it is Sting because "vocalist" implies that this person sings but does not play an instrument.

  6. I think Sting has more money than he knows what to do with.

  7. Agree with the deacon on sting. Same goes for George Michael. Both of them live in the UK, among other places, and it sounds like this person only lives in the US.

I was going to say Robbie, but his career was shit-hot in the '90s. Pretty sure its Boy George. He was DJing in the big London clubs at that time, and was short of cash. Yep bolygirl I think you got it.

  8. And I don't consider Robbie to be "settled down" just yet. ;-)

  12. Boy George isn't settled down and living in the states now, is he?

I still vote George Michael. He and his partner, Kenny Goss, live in Dallas. Kenny's art gallery is located there.

  14. Boy George lives in New York. Don't know about his love life.

Yes Rod Stewart is English (not Scottish as he would like everyone to think) but again he's rich and has been for decades. Remember that BI about how he makes sure his exes get very little on divorce? No need to go selling Es!

George Michaels drug of cboice is cannabis. I cant recall how many times he's been found asleep in his car on the streets of London.
