Led Zeppelin is currently finalizing arrangements to play in their first full concert since they disbanded in 1980 after the death of their drummer John Bonham. Led Zeppelin's surviving members have reunited twice since they broke up, but each performance was just a couple of songs. The first time they reunited was in 1985 for Live Aid, and then in 1995 they reunited for their induction onto the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.
Zeppelin is in negotiations with O2 Arena in London for a show which would potentially see each member earn $5M for one night simply for playing. Any DVD's or CD's made of the show would of course generate more revenue for each band member.
Zeppelin has no plans to tour, and this would be a one-off show done as a tribute to Ahmet Ertegun who recently passed away and was the founder of Atlantic Records.
oh please, a tribute concert. at least when fleetwood mack got back together they where honest enough to say they were doing it for the money.

ReplyDeleteRobert Plant is my god.
LOL Jax!
ReplyDeleteJimmy Page is my god!
A friend of mine uses the same dentist as Jimmy Page. She's trying to get him to spill some stories but so far he's being very tight-lipped. He has a large photo of himself with Jimmy in the waiting room.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it isn't a tour!
Reese..I don't know if its being tight lipped..or homeboy can't remember a damn thing from 1960-85.
ReplyDeleteAfter Live Aid it was all down hill..
If Led Zeppelin reunites for one night, here's hoping some of the good-looking people profiled on your blog show up for the event.
