Zoe Kravitz In GQ Magazine

Here’s the thing about Zoe Kravitz: Much as you might try, you can’t ignore the fact that her parents are Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet. First off, she looks just like them. Those almond-shaped eyes? All Lenny. Her full, pouty lips? Hello, Lisa.
If you ask her about music, she’ll breezily enumerate the merits of Jimi Hendrix, Sly & the Family Stone, and Bob Marley, admitting, “My dad raised me with the old stuff. It’s my roots.”

And like her mom, the 18-year-old Kravitz started acting at a young age, landing her first on-screen role when she was in high school, as a gum-smacking babysitter hired by Catherine Zeta-Jones in the recent romantic flick No Reservations.

Now, in this month’s upcoming action-thriller The Brave One, Kravitz shows a gritty, more serious side, playing a young prostitute who accompanies Jodie Foster on a revenge quest. “Ever since I was little,” she says, “out of all the actors in the world, Jodie Foster has been a real inspiration my entire life. She’s my girl.”

  1. If she plays her cards right and stays pretty but smart, she would have a great career.

Not sure why, but one of the first things I thought of was Rumer Willis. As in Zoe vs Rumer - celeb parents, venturing into the world of acting.

    My odds are on Zoe.

  4. Beautiful, beautiful young lady. Let's just hope she can sing. I think she can be a huge star if she plays her cards right.

  7. I know I'm getting older when 18 year olds look like sixth graders. Sigh.

  8. She's attractive, but if she wants to be successful, she'll have to adopt the work ethic of her father. Lisa didn't seem to have much drive, she just got really lucky by landing the Cosby show.
