Billy Bob Thornton and Kim Basinger are slated to star as a married couple in "The Informers," which is an adaptation of the novel of the same name.
The book is set in Los Angeles in the early 1980's and basically follows seven separate stories over the course of a week including a movie executive (Thornton), his wife (Basinger) his very sexually promiscuous mistress (Ashley Olsen), a rock star, a vampire (Brandon Routh) and a kidnapper.
Also joining the cast are Jon Foster and Jake Gyllenhaal's special friend Austin Nichols. The filming begins in October in South America so it's the perfect place for Jake and Austin to find some Spanish books and watch lots of polo because that's what friends do.
