Keira Knightley is the latest in a long line of announcing to the world that their latest co-star is "the best kisser ever." In interviews for Keira's latest movie Atonement, she says that James McAvoy is the best kisser ever. This despite the fact that she said the same thing about Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom and anyone else she has ever kissed in a movie.
I don't blame Keira because everyone does it. What is she supposed to say? "Oi, that guy had the most horrible breath and he kept trying to ram his tongue down my throat."
Meanwhile Keira's "boyfriend" Rupert slips another place on the best kisser in Keira's life and all the tabs run breathless headlines about how Keira has named James as the best ever, and then others will say they are now dating and that he's leaving his wife and she's leaving her Rupert and they are just so in love and she's pregnant and so on.
James on the other hand when asked about Keira's claim, and if he felt the same way about her said that "he was blown away by her poise and grace." Nothing at all about kissing. So Keira either really sucks at kissing guys or he's scared of his wife. How about a little bit of both.
If I remember correctly, Depp didn't seem thrilled to kiss her either. I believe he referred to it as "awkward".
ReplyDeleteEver heard of diplomacy? Thank goodness James McAvoy has, and he has the grace to use it!
ReplyDeleteDo not spit on my corn chip and tell me it's salsa.
ReplyDeleteIf these people are going to lie, which I fully expect them to do, at least they could be more inventive, instead of using all the same tired, over-used cliches.
That includes actors, publicists and the tabloids.
Debra Winger told the truth, look what happened to her career.
ReplyDeleteNow if she had just said that Richard Gere was the best kisser....
I hate that they even ask that question - like, WHO CARES - they are acting anyways - that is their job.
ReplyDeleteI agree,- it's such a stupid question to ask. I do, however, appreciate the innuendo in "So Keira either really sucks at kissing guys.." which once again seems to suggest that she is a lesbian.
ReplyDeleteOOOOh! Can't wait for the movie. I read the book a few years ago and it was really good. I can completely picture Keira in the title role.
