A-Rod? He had some trouble with a blonde companion when he was in T.O.
Unlikely sports celebrity.... Tiger Woods?
Kobe?
I have no name to contribute, sorry, but it seems like it would have to be a fitness magazine owned by the same company that has a gossip rag, or possibly a sports-oriented rag.
Tiger Woods is a good one. I hear he has a habit.
I'm really confused about the wording of this BI. Is this person unlikely to be a sports celebrity? Is he unlikely to be in a fitness mag? Is he unlikely to be caught with a hooker?
I don't think Tiger or A-Rod is an unlikely celebrity. Both are good looking and at the top of their games. A-Rod has already been in the rags with a hooker scandal, but Tiger would DEFINITELY be unlikely to be in such a situation since he has a beautiful wife who just had his first child. He is also squeaky clean.
I'm still thinking unlikely is related to him being a celebrity...hmmmm....maybe someone who doesn't look the part of a celeb or look the part of a fitness mag? Maybe someone not that good at their game?
This is a New York pub so A-Rod is possible, but he doesn't seem unlikely to me. If it's Tiger, I'll be really disappointed.
Alison-
I have never heard anything bad about Tiger. You've heard he has a habit? With hookers? Do tell.
Ice Angel, all it means is that the sports celebrity is an unlikely person to be part of this - no an unlikely sports celebrity.
Which means Kobe isn't the sports celeb, nor is A-Rod, because everyone knows they're man-ho's. Tiger IS unlikely because he's Mr. Clean.
I read it as: a sports celebrity who ordinarily would be unlikely to grace a magazine cover. So when you see him on the cover and are surprised, then we'll know who it is.
Hmmmm....now I'm confuzzled, d. You might be right about your interpretation.
On an off-topic, I did write EL for clarification and OC does not refer to drugs, he said.
Back to this one, though....
Looks like we have a winner!

Tiger on the cover of Men's Fitness Magazine. Owned by American Media, which also owns....you guessed it....The National Enquirer and The Star!!!
Ding Ding Ding
Pariss-you get the prize!
So sad....
D, that seems more like it. I don't understand how a sports celebrity could be unlikely if they're a sports celebrity. Tiger, Kobe, Shaq, Lance...all have been on the cover of magazines and it's not unlikely for them to do shoots and no one rethinks why they're sport stars.
I'm thinking football player, who is a household name but hasn't done much career-wise. Can anybody think of a footballer? I'm not well read on football.
Another fit:
Tiger is unlikely to be on a the cover of a men's fitness magazine. He may be fit, but certainly not the ripped kind of physique you typically see on the cover of such a magazine.
He's also unlikely to be in such a predicament since he is so squeaky clean.
That said, they must not have much on these "allegations" since selling the "Tiger caught with hooker" would sell a lot more copies of the Enquirer than "Tiger's fitness regime" on the cover of Men's Fitness.
this makes me so sad. i dont get people.
WOW, you folks solved that one fast!!
Divabunny, I'm bummed out, too. I thought Tiger at least had some class. Geeze.
Yes - RUMOR has it around Palo Alto-land, that he likes the strippers/hookers. He was a major party boy. But - that could have been the "old days" b4 marriage.
Thanks for the backup ice angel!!
Agassi and Graff
Alisonthefirst...YES, man...spot-on!! Same area of the state I hear those rumors from, too (about T. W.) and, no, marriage doesn't seem to have curbed his ways, either. Although, he's making more of an effort at discretion now that he has a kid (I guess because his wife could stand to make more money in the event of a divorce now if she caught him?)
Wasn't the Men's Fitness issue with Tiger on the cover on the newsstands before this BI appeared?
And what does "certain" damaging hooker allegations mean? Wouldn't all hooker allegations be damaging?
