A headline like that could only come from David Perel's National Enquirer.
"I told Britney as bluntly as I could; If you fall off the wagon, I don't think you'll live. " In an exclusive interview with The ENQUIRER, the man who's been trying to help Britney Spears through her nightmare of booze and drugs talked frankly about the tough tactics he's used in dealing with the troubled pop princess.
" I told her: If you don't want to get sober for yourself, do it for your kids,"said John Sundahl, who's a recovering alcoholic and chairman of Britney's AA chapter in Los Angeles.
He concluded that Britney has slipped off the wagon several times, but he added: "She truly wants to stop what she's doing- she's changed her life in another direction, where she doesn't get drunk every night and pass out."
But sadly, sources say Britney has been pulling the wool over her eyes- and over those of her terrified mother.
"Britney is telling her mom she's trying to get her drinking under control- but clearly she is not,"a source told The ENQUIRER.
Counselor Sundahl admits he last saw his celebrity client on June 1.
And since then, Britney has been on a booze-fueled tear, sources told The ENQUIRER.
In early June she took sons Sean Preston, 21 months, and 9-month-old Jayden James to Hawaii.
"She was drinking there to the point where she threw up all over her hotel bathroom,"said a source.
Added an insider: "She later passed out, leaving Alli to handle the boys by herself."
On June 11, Britney was back in Los Angeles, spending a girls night out at Joseph's club.
"She was downing rum and coke, vodka, and shots of booze,"says the source.
It was at Joseph's three years ago that Britney met Kevin Federline- and the memory was her downfall.
"She was feeling sad and reminiscing- and Britney drinks when she gets sad,"said the insider.
"The real problem for her is that she wants Kevin and the boys back with her- in a life like the one she had before. Kevin is just as worried about Britney as her mother and the rest of the family," says sources.
"He insists she has a nanny at all times."
I feel so bad for pop stars, I'd never want to be one. Even the clean ones, there is so much pressue.
ReplyDeleteIt can happen. A few weeks ago, my brother-in-law lost his 26 yr. old wife because of the damage she had been doing to herself with alcohol. The doctor had been telling her for over a year that if she didn't stop drinking, she could die. She had everything to live for, including a beautiful little boy, but she still didn't stop. It's a tragedy and a nightmare.
ReplyDeletedo you guys have a death pool?
ReplyDeletecause she and Lindsay would be at the top of the list
No, Pete Doherty is mos def at the top of the list :-)
ReplyDeleteSo much for the anonymous part of Alcoholics Anonymous.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I totally call shenanigans on this. No way would this guy be talking about here if he really was her councilor or whatever.
ReplyDeleteDude, what part of "anonymous" do you not understand?
ReplyDeletePick Die, Shitney!!
ReplyDeleteI doubt that this guy actually talked to the media. No self-respecting member of AA would do that.
ReplyDeletePete Doherty is like a cockroach. Nothing can kill him. He'll outlive us all and never go to jail.
fucking train wreck.
ReplyDeletemany baby boomers let parenting slide and now some are paying for it, giving your kids everything you didnt have is not the same as forgetting to teach them discipline, respect, life goals, morals and values.
SO SHOCKING... here I thought she had really cleaned up her act ;)
ReplyDeleteDoes that last paragraph lead anyone else to think she seriously might get back with KFed.
ReplyDeleteDoes she not realise that the moment she got together with him her problems started.
It would be a huge mistake if they got back together.
so why doesn't anyone actually make this poor girl get some help?
ReplyDeleteif she was a "regular person" she would not be allowed to get away with the B.S. (no pun intended) she did in rehab and she certainly wouldn't have been allowed to check herself out.
how about sending the celebs to the same rehab that the regular people go to? (ya know the check yourself in, but THEY check you out.. when you are RECOVERED...)
sick person does not have ability to decide they are better, that's what the doctors are for... gosh what a concept..

ReplyDeletere-habs aren't jail. even if you are court-ordered, its up to you to do the work and stay until you're "well".
same with medical stays. you can still check yourself out against doctor's orders.
unless you are actually behind bars, or in 72 hr. lockdown, you can leave whenever you want.
