From tomorrow's National Enquirer.
Three of Victoria Beckham's credit cards were rejected at a popular West Hollywood mall recently, according to an eyewitness, and that's when Posh got scary. She was at the Abercrombie & Fitch at the Grove in late April and headed to the checkout counter with $12,000, and a customer shopping says 3 credit cards were rejected when the salesperson tried to ring up the purchase. The eyewitness adds, "Victoria said there must be something wrong with the store's computer and said she should go somewhere else to shop. The nervous cashier tried to explain that it wasn't her fault, but Victoria snapped at her: never mind, take this one!"
The purchase was completed on the fourth attempt but the drama was far from over. Victoria insisted her packages be delivered to her home, but store workers said the most they do was help her load her car; Victoria furiously backed up her Lincoln Navigator to the shop's front door. After her packages were loaded Victoria demanded they do it over because it wasn't done correctly. After the employees packed her car for the second time she jumped in and roared off. As she took off the shopper says they (the employees) broke into applause!
(The only question I have about this story is whether Victoria Beckham actually drives.)

ReplyDeleteLet's hope so, it gives us so much more to look forward with her moving to LA. Somebody has to take up Paris slack with the LAPD.
good to see she's making friends in the u.s.
ReplyDeleteBut are we sure she wasn't just shooting an episode of her new "reality" show?
ReplyDeleteI believe it's called Shopping with Anorexic Cokeheads.
ok for reels. What shop would want to alienate (?) her after she dropped 12,000? This isn't her first trip there, I am guessing. Where is her assistant(s) to drive the stuff home? Where is her security detail? Where is her driver? I am thinking this is not true. Can you imagine a store manager allowing his staff to laugh and clap at someone who dropped that kind of money?
ReplyDeleteas long as you don't laugh in the customer's face, i would. i'm pretty sure she embarrased herself enough that she won't return.
ReplyDeletemaybe becks got smart after his injury and turned off her credit cards!!!
first of all, i highly doubt she's driving herself around LA. For one, it's just not her style, and for two, she's used to driving in England, where motorists stay to the left, not the right - i find it ahrd to believe she'd make the switch so quickly.
ReplyDeleteand IF her cards were denied, it's likely b/c she was using them in a country other than the UK - someimtes when i travel, my cards put a "hold" on my account in case its a case of fraud - they deny the transaction only to get you to call and confirm it's you making the purchase.
First of all, why would she shop at A&F? Maybe shopping for her boys? There is no way Posh shops at a mall. For the rest, the mall is great, but Posh, the mall is so taboo.
ReplyDeleteThe Grove is not a regular "mall." It's a celebrity haunt too. You can see them there all the time. And I believe that there have been pictures posted of her at that A&F before.
ReplyDeleteThe manager was probably the one clapping the loudest!!!!
ReplyDeleteHez,
ReplyDeleteLMAO! LOVE IT!
TB
Same thing happenend to me with my credit card overseas..the other poster is right, if she has recently changed her address then they might put a security hold until a call is made. they usually do it from the store while you wait, but alas Posh Spec ddint want to i bet.
ReplyDeleteWho really spends that kind of cash at A&F? Seriously.
ReplyDeletethis item is so fake.
ReplyDeleteSOO fake. The Grove is an outdoor mall, but the "front door" faces a pavillion. There is no way to "back up" to it; there is no car access there. I supposed she could have been hanging out in the valet area, which is close to A&F, but it certainly ain't the "front door."

Yea i dont think this story is realy either.
ReplyDeleteYou cant drive up to the front door at the Grove, well without hitting about 200 people in the process. The front door doesnt face the street, it faces the walkway open area.
But i guess you can drive up to the back door.
eh, still dont think Mrs Becks would shop at A&F, too low class for her. Besides, im sure they pay their accountants a crapload of money, i doubt they would let their credit cards run so high to the limits, if they even HAVE limits on their cards.
Sounds fake. I don't believe it. 3 credit cards rejected? yeah right. Her at Abercromie & Fitch? yeah right. She never drives her own car either.
