NY Daily News Blind Item

Which young TV heroine was recently overheard calling paparazzi outside a Beverly Hills spa to tip them off that she would soon be leaving?

    Yep.

I am on a 3 day "cleansing fast" - has anyone ever done this before?

  3. Hayden I agree
did anyone watch Larry King when he had the Heroes cast on? It was good.

I did the Master Cleanse (after reading the book) that one?

    Hi Brendalove-

I've done one of those things. The only thing I was cleansed of was happiness and money. Take my advice and re-tox as quickly as possible.

I'm just doing water. I guess you'd say its more of a fast than a cleanse.

I've heard it can really jump start a weight loss program, BUT you have to be careful when the fast is over because most people just want to pig out on carbs.

    Amber -
I don't even care! If I faint I'll just lay there till I recover. If it works for Nicole and Posh, it should work for me. If it gets too rough, I'll eat some ice cubes.

Brendalove, I fasted for 3 days before my holiday last year, and it's not as hard as you may think. If you can get through the hunger pains, they go away. When you get hungry, drink. Try and stay hydrated. Once you've got the first two days over, it's suprisingly easy to carry on, so BEWARE, and make sure you stop! Also, be careful about what you eat after the fast, 'cause your body will go into starvation mode and whatever you eat, your body will hold onto.

Good luck. It's very satisfying to know that you've managed to do it. I'd love to be ableto do it again, but can't stop eating!!!!!

Fasting?! Whatever happened to good ole working out. Pumping iron? Fasting for religious reasons is one thing, fasting to lose weight....scary! Seems like a slippery slope to go, but good luck Brendalove either way.

I did the master cleanse for 8 days and lost 13 pounds. I'd say do that instead of just water, it's detoxing and at least gives you some kind of nutrients to keep your body working! Ditto on being careful - when you starve yourself your body holds onto everything more!

be careful of the fasts....im a nurse and i did a cleanse for 11 days and they allowed you to eat selected foods and i still ended up feeling ill. make sure youre at least taking vitamins so you dont get electrolyte imbalances, those are a real kick in the crotch.

Chalk me up as another vote on not really caring to read your personal chat. Don't you people have access to one another's email or instant messenger?
This is the internet, where people from all over come to enjoy ent's scoops and zx's blogs, not 'what's new in your life'.

As far as being on topic..I agree it's Hayden. Interesting Lohan recently told page 6 she digs getting her pic taken 'because if they didn't take my picture I would think people no longer cared'

Please shutterbugs, STOP TAKING HER PICTURE.

I've done juice fasts before...I lasted about a week, and it was great and I could have done it forever, but decided not to. The last time I tried it however, I only lasted two days. I don't know why that is.

    brendalove,
wish i you talk to you privately.

i lost 90 lbs shortly after i turned 40. i had like 12 lbs to go when i lost my back. depression and being unable to move (not to mention the alcohol consuption because i couldn't get pain pills for 5 months...) i gained it back in rapid time. here i am, with a new back and a new hip, and a new bunch of pounds.

i agree, this may not be the place, but all you anonymous bastards don't realize we are more of a family here than anything else.
can we PM on the board??
