2005 2006 Donatella Versace's daughter Allegra is down to about 70 pounds. Allegra is 20 years old and is under 24 hour supervision and must be fed with a tube. Allegra has long fought a battle with anorexia and is now in a psychiatric facility which can better take care of her needs.

She looks about the same weight in all of the pictures.. just smaller from different angles. Wow.. I'd be scared to bump into her on the street, she might break in half :(

The 'funny' thing is, of all the mainstream fashion labels, Versace's are probably the 'healthiest' looking (i.e. some breasts, only about 20-30lbs underweight)

ReplyDeleteI was reading a fashion mag this month with a huge 6-page spread article on Donatella and Allegra and I remember marvelling at how the shots strategically disguised her weight issues. Ima try and find a link to some pics!

I feel horrible for her. To have a mother who loves cocaine & the pursuit of skin cancer is awful.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that Versace's clothes are for women w/sexy women's bodies. Their bodies have some T&A compared to other fashion houses, but it doesn't change the fact that Allegra literally grew up in the modeling world around hundreds of women with eating disorders and distorted perceptions of beauty.
I hope the girl gets help soon!
