Golden Globes Part 4
I do not know what the story was outside in television land, but inside, it was one person and one person only. Reese Witherspoon. When she walked in, every one's mouth hit the floor. She was Reese like no one had ever seen her before. From that bright yellow dress to those f*** me red heel
s, everyone was all over her and could not stop talking about her. From what I understand, Angelina Jolie was pissed about something and I think a great deal of it was that she had been totally upstaged by Reese. RW was the reason I did not get drunk last night. I knew that I would be over in front of her making a fool of myself just like every other single and some not single guys. She turned squeaky clean into a little slutty and it worked for her. People were going way out of their way to talk to her and it was really quite funny. Staying sober last night allowed me to see a couple of things about her though.

When she took off her shoes for a minute, she was so tiny and the effect she had been going for was also totally lost. I know she was enjoying the attention and people all night could not stop talking about her. I think she wanted to feel wanted and desired and perhaps she had not been getting that at home. She wanted to show the world there was a Reese they had never seen and she did.
She looked hot, hot, hot! The hair, the makeup, the dress, the shoes (which I wonder if she stole :)... I sure hope that Ryan is kicking himself now.

ReplyDeleteBoy, I thought she looked stunning. The cameras really loved her last night and I thought she looked the best I've ever seen her. The shots taken of her at Jack Nicholson's table (not that I understood that) just made me go "wow".
ReplyDeleteI can't see any connection between Angelina's pout and Reese, either. I saw the Brangelina interview with Ryan Seacrest before the show and thought immediately that she was struggling with basically being "the girlfriend" on this evening, rather than "the focus". She looked very loving and supportive during the show, but nothing last night was about her ... and I doubt she has much patience for what was clearly just a fluffy night in Hollywood for her.
That's how I saw it.
Kathy, that's how I saw Angelina - not hogging the spotlight. And, why would she be jealous of Reese? Angie is hot!

ReplyDeleteI think Reese W. looked ok, but that style of dress didn't seem formal enough for the Golden Globes. It kind of looks like a prom dress. Her gown should have gone down to her ankles.

I think that she should have worn her up to give her a more sophisticated look. Her hair in the picture looks like its for running errands or going to the park.
But the bright color of her dress does suit her.

ReplyDeleteAngelina was taking a backseat because this was Brads night, she did not want to upstage him and take away his night but Ryan Seacrest kept trying to interview her and finally just sticking a mic into her face.... remember this is the same Seacrest who's been bad mouthing Brangelina forever and it was his network E! that was caught tresspassing into Brangelina's digs trying to snap pics......
Angelina talked to the rest of the ET shows.....she was smiling and playful and happy, inside they were so together you could feel it...... that "incident" was only with Ryan Seacrest and he was rude...........
Angelina as always looks fabulous.... she can't be compared to anyone else not even Reese.... she's a different class of hotness.
Oh please, angelina was being a bitch the WHOLE WAY up the carpet honey. Quit with the damn excuses. She was looking so far down her nose all night. She sure did turn on the fake smiles once inside though.

Actually I know what the prob with "Angie" is. She has a contract with St. John and she is REQUIRED to wear the label to every red carpet event. Well, suppossedly she was raving mad about her choices of what to wear and had to pick that horrid grey number. Well what did she expect? St. John is a very 'mature' brand. Not at all young hollywood!
ReplyDeletemy husband worked in one of the "one on one" rooms last night (lighting, mostly behind the camera stuff). I asked about Angelina and he said "she was attitudey" "acting like royalty". he did say that Hilary Swank was "very sweet". that's my 2 cents worth.
ReplyDeleteReese has always been a doll. The reason why everyone is in awe is because she is attainable now -she's single! And to those who say she's not in the same league as Angelina WHorelie, you are right. Angelina Junkie is trash. Reese is pure class.

ReplyDeleteI hope she finds a nice MAN to replace that little boy she put up with for far too long. Is she controlling? Maybe. But sometimes when one member of the relationship is as irresponsible as he is, the other member winds up compensating for that. Especially when there are kids involved, somebody has to be the adult.
Angie is WAY prettier than Reese. and Reese looks better as a brunette.
