OK..wow..so many comments yesterday and I know everyone is dying for a clue..but a couple things need to be said..This really happened just as I said it did..However, there was also a settlement agreement that was confidential which I cannot violate as well...THEREFORE, I have taken certain precautions such as using the year 2000 as a starting point..In addition, I am very vague when I use times such as several weeks or months....It would not be fair to S or the other parties involved or ethical to be any more specific in this situation..

In my other stories, there is less blindness and the persons can be guessed with some degree of accuracy..

For your sake, I hope you're not a lawyer because you are subjecting yourself to a disciplinary hearing. You don't have to disclose identity to violate attorney-client privilege, you know --- all you have to do is disclose a communication with your client that he or she did not authorize you to disclose. I hope you wise up before the CA disciplinary board gets hold of your site.

I knew you were fudging the date! Its Mariah Carey, isn't it?

    I say J-Lo!

J-Lo has never toured, as far as I know. He specifically mentioned tours.

It's not your style that is problematic, it's the punctuation. Either use one period for an ending period, or use three for an ellipse. Two periods equals nothing but an eyesore, and you will lose readers. I could barely get through your last post, that two-period crap was so awful.

Hmm, good point. J-Lo never really did tour, so it probably isn't her.

It kinda seems like this could also be Britney, but she has done a few live acapella performances. Those could have been pre-recorded by S though!

But I don't see how Britney being a big fake would shake up the music industry since everyone knows that already. She lip syncs and her voice is pro-tooled because she can't sing on key, but the breathy crap she does is so uninspiring that when some singer came out and said it was mostly her voice on Brits recordings everyone just shrugged.

I would laugh if it were Christina, but I still wonder if its Mariah. I tried watching a live show of hers on youtube, but the low lights and the camera cuts made it impossible to see if she was lipping it. On the other hand- if she was, that would definitely cover it!

Well... Britney has a lot of devoted fans, so I can see how a lot of them would be shaken up. You do have a point though.

This is really annoying!!! Any kind of hint, please???

It cannot be Mariah Carey, she released her first album in 1990, plus I did a little search on Youtube and there are a few clips of her singing acapella:

    It's not Britney.

    I think Avril Lavigne.

It’s not Britney Spears. Her first song came out in 1998. If you watch her Star Search and MMC gigs. It’s the same voice. Her speaking voice is very similar to her studio voice. Plus she recently did a song for her idiot husband K-Fed. You think she got some other singer to sing for that track? No of course not. And that singing she did for that track is the same voice she has used for all her albums.

Add to that fact that Britney’s 2nd album did NOT do better than BOMT.

Grammar and punctuation aside, I think that your posts are totally entertaining and compelling. I am really intrigued to know who this no-talent wonder you were discussing actually is. I have a few ideas... Eventually this will come to the attention of the public, regardless of whether you posted the 'case study' or not, particularly if the 'artist' in question is unable to perform and therefore unable to record a new album. Anyhow, thanks! This is a great blog.

Oh, for crying out loud. Who the hell cares if the stories are real or if he pulled them out of his ass! Do you honestly believe every story you read on ONTD, DListed, or read in People? We are entertained (or not) regardless. Honey, keep doin' what you're doin'. Some of us need a break from the workday and just love to read gossip, whether fact or fiction. As for the punctuation, this a BLOG people, not a Grammar exam. Get over yourselves! Be entertained or be somewhere else.

I hate the fact that I'm so fascinated by this story but here are my two cents:
My take on this conspiracy theory is that it has to be someone who was already famous for something other than singing. There are too many undiscovered but legitimately good singers out there for managers and producers to waste their time creating ghost vocals for some unknown.
My bet is that it's some actress-"singer" such as JLo, Lindsay Lohan, etc. who just decided one day that they wanted to have a singing career on top of everything else she already has. The only problem is I can't think of anyone off the top of my head who's revealed identity "would blow the music world up and shake it to its core." Am I close?

Last person I'd have thought it to be but.....

Christina Ag's "co-writer" & producer is Guy Roche. And the original blog makes a point of calling the offending man Guy instead of the guy

Would shake the industry to the core if it was her.....
