Blind Item #18

This entertainment based company is doing everything they can to protect their big investors and screw over the newcomers. If their plan is approved, and they follow through, it is just about protecting people who made the idiot decision to invest in the loser of a company which I told everyone was a loser from the day they announced their ridiculous idea. Many people joined with me, but most of them jumped on board the company's train when the company bought them off with shares in the company or special events or otherwise kissed their butts.

At least Moviepass gives people an excuse to go to the theater.

Make movies available for streaming the same day they open and see if anyone bothers with the theater. We all basically have home theaters now with giant screens, we don't need to sit in the dark with possibly obnoxious strangers and/or screaming babies to enjoy the cinema experience.

  5. The theater experience is like airplane travel: if I hear someone talking about it, odds are 10-to-1 they're complaining. Only difference is, with flying, they usually don't have a choice, because they have to get somewhere too far away to drive.

@Brayson87, that's what RedLetterMedia have suggested. They could charge $50-100 to stream a just-released movie, and you could split the cost with a bunch of friends. Like pay-per-view for big boxing matches.

  7. I remember Golan Globus Productions!

    Yes, I'm that old!

    Talk about cheap, cheap movies.

Almost as bad as Roger Corman's crap films!

  9. @Brayson Until I can get one of those popcorn (and butter!) machines installed in my house, I will happily continue to pay for a theatre experience.

  11. Eww, the last time I went to a movie theater, there was a shoeless bum with his icky feet up on the seat in front of him, and, I got flea bites in my legs. Never again....Never.

And, after seeing Hollywood up close and personal courtesy of Harvey Weinstein and all the women that willingly slept with him, I don't want to give them any money any longer. Done. with. this. shiz.
