Limit carbs, and no carbs for dinner, no sugar, no sugary drinks. That does it for me.

That’s hard to do when you have a toaster on your nightstand, Hot Cola. Sometimes a lady wakes up at 2 in the morning and simply has to have a toasted bagel.

Jenny craig starts on March ends in july.too much stress at my job and excercise 3x week. Should be more but getting a good nights rest is more important
About 20 years ago I decided not to try dieting per se. I just eat a high fiber diet, lots of fruits, veges and grainy breads or pasta. But every week usually Saturday night when I go out to dinner, I cheat and eat anything I want. I’ve maintained my same weight since then. The phen-fen thing threw me over the edge prior to eating good food.
Never tried any diet. Just try to limit the carbs (hard), junk food (harder), and red meat (hardest). Eat lots of fruits and veggies, drink lots of water, don’t eat too much at any meal, and exercise regularly. Thanksgiving is the toughest holiday of the year.
Are you kidding? Thanksgiving is just a day plus leftovers. Christmas is an entire season!

Basically the same as Udsctd. I keep track through Myfitnesspal. I don’t know how much weight i’ve lost but my clothes fit looser. My goal is to bring my cholesterol down.
I have been eating 1200 calories/day or fewer since May and have lost 50 lbs. I can eat whatever I want, but I prefer healthy foods and can eat more of them, so that’s what I do. If I go overboard one day, I make it up the next. I finally feel in control of my eating and that I can do this for life at a slightly higher number of calories in order to maintain. Very happy with my results!
