Four For Friday - He Ruined Her Life
I haven't done any announcements the past few weeks, but wanted to tell you about a new tradition that I want to start next week. It is all about Anniversary Month. Next Thursday on Thanksgiving, I'm going to post a bunch of never revealed, extremely juicy blinds from the past nine years. No boring Kristin Cavallari/Justin Timberlake items. These will be really good. Then, on Friday, I will reveal all of those same blinds. I guarantee you will not want to miss either of these days. I am hoping there will be about 15 of just really great blinds and reveals.
In the last couple of years I wrote about this show that was an ensemble family show that aired back in the day. It was a comedy and there were washed up former B listers who were hoping for a second chance with the show. Anyway, there was a heartthrob on that show. He is where the story begins.
At a press event for his show he ran into a teen actress from another show which almost seemed exactly like his show. Same network. The teen actress was in her mid-teens. Our actor was older. Almost twice her age actually. And married. The thing is, they hit it off. Really hit it off. The next thing you know, he was cheating on his wife with this mid-teen actress. At some point he decided to start sharing drugs with her and she got hooked on drugs. Our actor was always getting quizzed by his wife about money he was spending and wanted to hide his drug purchases. He needed cash. How to get it? He convinced the actress to start turning tricks. Yep, there she was in her mid-teens being paired off with executives from the studio and friends of the actor to earn drug money for the both of them. Our actress got hooked more and more on drugs and the actor decided she was becoming a liability so he dumped her. Our actress crashed and burned and basically never worked again after her relationship with the actor.

I wanted this to be Scott Baio & Nancy McKeon, but Derek's right.
It started on ABC was cancelled there and picked up by CBS

Maybe April Haney/Lerman from Charles in Charge- she was 15 during first season of show(which is mid teens) and she disappeared after...changed her name too I think
Lerman/Sasha Mitchell - he fits-he was 28 at time which is almost 30(2x her age).
Jodie Sweetin was 13 at her oldest point(last season of show, and wored after through the years- still is(shooting reboot).
Both CBS series.
That makes more sense @tricia13- age wise. I googled her and she really disappeared.Started as a Broadway show child actor(Annie)then CIC then----------nothing. She did drop her stage name it seems.
Still SBS says ABC- even if it switched ?

April Haney has a law degree and an MS in counseling and works as a counselor. Her husband is an attorney. I'm not saying it isn't her, but she doesn't seem like a down and out former child actor.
Charles in Charge was a syndicated show. Only on CBS its first season. and completely changed cast.
Yes, I saw. She got a law degree but didn't pursue a legal career for fear"it would be too stressful for her" (her words). She has a son, got a Masters in pychology and uses it to council kids and adolescents.....
So good on her, either way:)

true Jodie was 13 the least season of Full House but these events probably happened a couple of years later----people still stay in touch. and Sweetin didn't get any work until The Full House reboot---and the timeline fits perfectly for when she claims to have started using drugs.

The only other altenative from Sweetin are 2 teen girls from another ABC TGIF show called "Getting By" named Nicki Vanice and Ashleigh Sterling. It only lasted 2 seasons. Nicki was born in 75 -so she was 17/18. Ashleigh was born in 83 so too young. The plot for Getting By is
"Comedy about two women who live together in a rather large house. Dolores, who is the black one, has two boys Marcus (Santana) and Darren (Richmond). Cathy, who is the white one, has two girls Julie (Sterling) and her oldest daughter Nikki (Vannice)."

The cute looking, who was also a kick boxer from step by step went down hill bc of drugs. He lost wife and baby. He's the only hunky thing on any 90's show. Besides uncle Jessie???? So I will say he took a teen girl with him. Maybe Jodie on full house. But I don't see anyone finder her irresistible at any age.
Scott wasn't married until after 2000's.
He was a BABE. He also modeled for Versace. Now he looks like a Jersey Shore guy 20 years later. At least he did not completely mess with his face like Mickey Rourke.

Because the phrase never worked again makes me think of the cast of Mr. Belvedere I'll throw this out there.
Whose The Boss and Mr. Belvedere both on ABC overlapping years. Similar idea.

Could the adults on Whose the Boss be considered washed up B actors? They were all well known for previous roles.
not sure about that because Danza was the lead and not really a heartthrob anymore- sounds like a younger guy. But yes he was washed up and this was a second chance- but it was a hit. Think the show here wasn't a hit at all. The young guy from Step by Step might works- Mitchell -but the teen girl is unclear. Not Jodie Sweeting(she was too young to fit &has worked quite a bit since, looked at Nicki Vance and she would have been 19 or 20 at time of her show - not a "mid- teen" that's like late teen, young adult. Maybe the Charles in Charge girl or maybe the girl from Roseanne? Not Sara Gilbert, other one. ...could also be a different network altogether--NBC had a show "My 2 Dads"?

@Derek- maybe, but she has worked a respectable amount since and is still working now .The Full House reboot is a big project on top. @yayme:I don't think- hope it isn't considered legit! Looked at her info and she fits entirely - even same network I believe . Not sure her age fits , maybe she was a young teen or barely that? But great guess- the show premises are very similar .
