From what I'm reading, it's evidently an age thing regarding whether being mostly-nude on a red carpet is awesome or slutty.
The line seems to hit about 30-ish. People over 30 tend to think it's disgraceful/disgusting/trashy, people under 30 think it's edgy, hot, blah blah blah.
Most billionaires are over 30, so I guess it's a matter of wanting people who actually make shit happen instead of just IGing about it thinking you're a trashy whore or a star. Trashy Whore looks to have increasingly won the red carpet over the past 10 years. Being a star is more about how you wear clothes than who waxes your vag. There are virtually no permanent A list trashy whores. Trashy whores come & go. Make of that what you will.
