Blind Item #5 - Academy Awards
This A+ list mostly movie actor was a presenter last night and right before he went out on stage got into an argument with a woman who called the actor a cheater for what he was doing that night. My spy didn't know who the woman was. Maybe a production assistant on the show. My spy also didn't see what the actor was doing that was cheating but this woman was in his face and was ticked. Our actor did not say much because this was going on up until 20 seconds before he went on stage.

The paps photographed McConaughey and wife arriving at LAX for the Oscars the day before, but he wasn't in the audience and seems to have just come to make the presentation and his wife (who is happy to attend the opening of an envelope) didn't appear to be there. No red carpet photos.

How can the Academy let that worm Terrance Howard present?
Ben Affleck seemed "off" all night and was completely elsewhere when he presented Best Director...I was wondering what was wrong with him to show that kind of disinterest/distraction....and was wondering if a blind was going to come out...Also Jennifer Gardner was not with him, or so it seemed....

No way is Terrence Howard A+.
It's a bit much to think a production assistant would chastise an A+ lister. That doesn't make sense. Easy way to lose your job.
Speaking of Terrence Howard presenting ... was there something wrong with his teleprompter?
I saw the "behind the oscars" special the night before and learned a lot, including that EVERYTHING is rehearsed and EVERYTHING is scripted. Terrence Howard is an actor, you'd think he could have learned his lines and not relied on a teleprompter. Either that or he was hammered.
Speaking of rehearsals and scripts, there was no excuse for John Travolta to screw up Idina Menzel's name last year. Rehearsed. Scripted. You're going to be saying someone's name, PRACTISE IT.
Oh, and Lara Spencer got John Legend's wife's name wrong on the red carpet, she called her "Christy" to her face.
Speaking of the ABC red carpet interviewers they were uniformly HORRIBLE. There's one guy they use every year, I have no idea who he is, but he asks asinine questions and then says ridiculous things designed to show how chummy he is with the stars and I doubt ANY of them know who he is.
