Marcia Strassman Has Died

Marcia Strassman, who played Gabe Kaplan's wife, Julie, on the 1970s sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter," and Rick Moranis's wife in the Disney hit movie "Honey I Shrunk The Kids" and its sequel, "Honey I Blew Up The Kid." has died. She was 66.

AKM said...: I was saddened to hear this over the weekend. I watch "Welcome Back, Kotter" every week thanks to MeTV. She was a great straight-man foil to Gabe Kaplan and those silly jokes about "did I ever tell you about my Uncle Morty?"

(Silly sidenote: as a kid, I got her and Jan Smithers confused. Both lovely and looked similar with the glasses, both with last names that start with "S," I guess?); 8:24 AM

And, all due credit to Enty! This is the first obit I've read that correctly names the second Disney flick as Honey I Blew Up The Kid. Everybody else is calling it "Honey I Blew Up The Kids."; 9:46 AM
