First, I've never seen this video to this song before.

Second, I never realized how cute he was. (I was way more into Peter Frampton then.)

Third, 63 is still way too young. Very sad.

He also did vocals for Budweiser commercial songs.

RIP

That video... how refreshing! No heaving cleavage wagged in anyone's face, no undulating asses -- just talent. How quaint. And missed.

Damn, that is way too young. He was fine back in the day. RIP

The blond….didn't she marry and now divorce Richard Marks ?

Agreed. Far too young.

Too many puns with the name of the band and his too young age (another proof that karma idea is bulsshit). Why couldn't he have been an asshole?

RIP.

@ MISCH, I don't think that is Cynthia Rhodes, but she does look similar.

Last night I watched a rerun of Modern Family. At the end Phil and Clare renew their wedding vows to a Hawaiian version of Eye of the Tiger. It made me sad (the song not the show).

RIP Jimi

Oh man..

I have some umm.. lets just say very fond memories of this song ;) I still blush a bit when I hear this song.

Godspeed Jimi, Godspeed.

From the days when pop singers actually had amazing voices, and could write songs. Rather than autotune, lip synching and a raft of managers and handlers and choreographers.

Survivor started out with a different lead singer, Dave Bickler, who had to quit because of vocal chord polyps. Dave is the one doing the Budweiser commercials. He's also the one who sang "Eye of the Tiger" and all the songs before that. Jimi joined in 1983 and was first on their 1984 album Vital Signs, with "I can't hold back" and "The search is over."

Liked Survivor. That's young to go

Damn I loved Survivor. RIP

Vital Signs was my favorite album by them and this was my favorite song. So sad.

Richard Marx just got divorced this year after a 25 year marriage to Cynthia Rhodes.
