She was gorgeous in Sabrina. RIP
She's pretty but that dress needs a little lift in the boobage.
Awe :( RIP. Sabrina (the original and the remake) was one of my favorites. They just don't make actresses the way they used too.
I love Sabrina (original. Willi Holden - grrrrr.
I thought that was a picture of Grace Kelly at first! Martha was gorgeous.
+ yes my dear
It reads like she played the sabrina role at 89, lol. Rip.
RIP LOve the original Sabrina!! What a beauty!!
I original Sabrina was wonderful (as was Martha.) The less said about the remake, the better.
She married Hal Wallis…she was no fool
There were plenty of downfalls but there was also a lot to recommend about the studio system. People were groomed. It held a lot of glamour.
I try not to romanticise the studio years because I know too much about how tyrannical it really was, but it's always terribly sad every time we lose someone who was one of the few remaining links to that era.
RIP Martha. You were a beauty.
I read this interesting article about Martha this morning.

Sad.
RIP.
She was lovely.
Not only was she a classic beauty, but she was a good actress too.
I always thought she was so beautiful. RIP Martha.
She also appeared in the wonderful 1959 movie The Best of Everything with Hope Lange, Diane Baker, Suzy Parker and Joan Crawford (who stole the picture from her younger co-stars.)
I think the studio system cut both ways. The studios infantilized the stars but they also protected them from scandal and had a vested interest in developing careers. Now, stars lurch from picture-to-picture and scandal-to-scandal.
@Abbies the database of remaining studio era major or mid level players is into the hundreds actually.
She's classic - absolute stunner.
Wish there were more of this...

She looks like Grace Kelly in that pic.
....ya ya ya, well it's sad and my condolences. But...did she cheat with any married A listers
@Sincerely
...But...so did 90% of Hollywood in that era. Most especially the people famous for their "fantastic", "devoted" marriages.
