Candy Spelling Says Tori Has Plenty of Money

Candy Spelling was on The Talk yesterday and said that Tori Spelling has plenty of money. Tori likes to pretend she doesn't have any money and that is why she is forced to do things like reality television. Tori does reality television because no one with any sense would hire her to actually act in anything. She loves being famous and on television and loves the attention. Candy listed all of the ventures that Tori has going for her and says the pair text everyday and Candy would know if Tori really was broke. Plus, Candy said that she wouldn't let her daughter or grand kids be broke and has already bought them one house and would buy them another if needed. Candy says she doesn't watch much of Tori's new show but that the hospital portion was real because she visited Tori in the hospital and also suffers from migraines like Tori. I think most of the time Tori deals with her migraines like the rest of us at home, but since the cameras were there and filming, why not go ahead and just admit yourself to the hospital. It fills up an entire episode of the show and she gets even more attention from the doctors and nurses.

  1. I disagree, she was great is the movie "Trick", even though she was playing herself. Plus, golddiggermomsayswhat?

    1. I HATE her mom, reminds me of mine! Treated like shit growing up, admitted she didn't raise her and then only gave her 800k. BITCH, you owe her more than that. You turned her into to this anorexic cookoo bird with low self esteem and terrible impants that has to constantly seek attention because no one ever gave her any!!! Ugh. Just give her a bunch of money you greedy bitch. Makes me mad!

    2. I agree that Tori was really good in "Trick." Also in "The House of Yes." Did you see that one, Talkstoomuch? I know those movies go back many years (1999 and 1997, respectively) but they hinted that Tori might have some bit of talent.

    3. Sillygurl, her mother does not owe her a damn thing. Tori is a grown ass woman who needs to make her own way in life.

    4. I agree with silly girl 100%. And she's STILL undermining her by going on tv and disputing yhe narrative Tori has going, true or not. You dont sabatoge your daughter on national tv. Stay the fuck home and shut your huge bazoo.

    5. And nobody wld even be interested in her weird ass if Tori wasnt her daughter! That must chafe her ass.

    6. Yay, EastCoaster!! I didn't know ANYONE else had seen Trick! I loved that movie. I will check out House of Yes!

  2. Isn't the brother a lifestyle coach or some such? Whatever that might actually be. But at least it's almost a proper job. Maybe Tori should try it sometime.

  3. I just can't get over her subjecting her poor kids to all this.

    1. Yes! And then there's Grandma Candy on TV, saying some not-so-nice things about their mom and dad. It's got to be confusing and embarrassing for the kids. And I'm sure they get teased at school. It's just a sad situation for the McDermott children all-around. I'm sure each one of them will wind up needing therapy. How do you spell Dysfunctional?

  4. I almost feel sorry for Tori, with her crazy mother she scarely had a chance for a normal life.

    (almost)

  5. I read an interview with the life coach brother and was very impressed.. he seems very mature and grounded. He may be the only sane member in the family

    2. LMAO! Most unforgettable TV movie title.

Side note: I wonder if Tori killed her career by being willing to act in something that they would title, "Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?" Anyway I bet it got great ratings. I for one definitely watched that movie, tickled by the title.

  7. Ahh V, her brother!
I remember watching an ep of 90210 and wondering who the fugly guy was. Sure enough Randy Spelling was listed.
    Nepotism what?

  11. I love Tori Lifetime movies. They're funny. It's a shame she's starting to look like Janice the Muppet.

  12. To be fair I may be biased because of the interview :p

  13. I've had to google him now. Err, he's not terrible but I suppose he's the best he can be working with the genes he's been blessed with. Go Randy.

  14. He is now, I agree. At the time he was on 90210 he looked so much like Tori it was...unfortunate.
He's like what we all wish for the Willis sisters, someone who grew into their looks,

  15. Candy give Tori some more money and put us out of this misery of having to hear about these knobs everyday of our lives. They are even showing this shit on the news!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I thought the bone of contention between Candy and Tori was Dean.. she didn't give Tori the money because she read Dean as a golddigger who was just as irresponsible and impulsive with finances as Tori, if not worse..

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I read the main bone of contention was twofold. .. First that Candy spent over a million dollars on Torys first wedding and she was put out that Tory divorced him and asked her to foot the bill for a more expensive wedding to The Deaner
Second Tory claims Candy wasn't there for her dad in his final days and was hanging around some other man, whether they were cheating or not Tori let her feeling be known so Candy cut her out of any big payday

  17. @Bacon.. well said :o) He's a swan

  18. I just don't feel sorry for Tori, she's rich, not by the standards of Aaron Spelling, but by HW standard & the rest of the country she is.

  19. I took a tour of Hollywood homes once and saw the Spelling hut. It took up the whole entire block. Like the house was the block. Not sure of my point just saying.

    1. Gator, i know what ya mean. When my daughter was in nursery school, she was invited to a birthday party. We turned onto the street.....and, the street was the house! The whole block! Nicest people you'd ever want to meet.

  20. It's disgusting that a mother will go on a talk show to spill about one of her children, no matter how whacky or ridiculous that child's behavior might be. And, of course, it's pathetic that TV shows are willing to provide a platform for this kind of stuff.

  21. I wonder what kind of education Tori has?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Likely very little. I think her brother was a little more serious about education than she.

  22. LOL @ BTowngirl!

Wow, Mom, way to throw your daughter under the bus on national TV. But really, can't blame Candy, she worked hard for her money and so should her daughter.

    Oh, wait...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Where to start with this one. So many problems not the least of which Tori feels like she's entitled to some of mommies money because she was daddy's little girl.

I can bet you $500 that even if Candy gave Tori a boatload of money we would all still be subjected to Tori on TV.

    ReplyDelete
  24. agreed Enty. Im already bored with this subject. We need another elevator incident to send the tabloids in a frenzy. This time however, I petition that it involve Angelina jolie, brad pitt and Jennifer Anniston. .. SCANDAL!! Can u imagine the headlines?

Okay Ent, work some magic. Make it happen. *snaps* lol

  25. @Eros---AMEN! They are selling not only their own soul and dignity but their childrens---for what? So Tori can get the latest Louis Vuitton handbag? Even annoying Candy is a victim in this---having to go around and save face on behalf of their family name. Aaron Spelling was a hardworking man who valued his privacy. He must be rolling in his grave. There is a special place in hell for people like Tori and Dean....

  26. Oh relax dereck. Candy lies thru her store bought teeth, and if she bought them a house, why are they renting? She's spewing crap. On tv. About her DAUGHTER. i just cant get beyond that. I have many problems with my familt- and im sure, they with me - but never in a million years wld i air private business on tv!!!!!!!!

  27. As a migraine sufferer, I think I'd prefer to be monitored by a doctor on the hospital-strength meds if I could. When I'm in the throes of one, I'd sure as hell give anything a try, and it's impossible to do morphine at home.

  28. @East--Ive seen it! I use to LOOOOVE those made for tv movies on NBC. The lifetime ones are not as good...

  29. Just when you thought your family issues were a mess, along comes the Spellings. I believe that Tori makes a lot of money. I also believes that she spends more than she makes.

Both mom and daughter are so desperate for attention that they'll do any thing to get it! Even if that means dogging out the other!

    It's sad!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Also, i completely agree with Sillygurl!

    ReplyDelete
  31. @auntliddy.. yaaaa, you're right! Why ARE they renting if she bought them a house?

  32. Tori's brother was also on Santa Barbra. Anyone else remember that old soap?

Okay from what I remember Candy was a showgirl and worked her way up *wink wink*, also Candy kept Tori away from the Dad when he was dying. Also Candy was "spending a lot of time" with someone younger while Dad was bedridden.
And I think when Dad died, Candy didn't tell Tori for a day or two. I am pretty sure her brother had to finally tell her.

Candy vs Tori battle had been going on ever since Tori hit puberty. The old Daddy's little girl vs Mommy for attention. Which IMO isn't fair, beacause Tori was a child. And Arron adored her, as he should being her father.

I don't think it was a money issue about the wedding, it was more of a 'how you made ME (Candy) look' type thing.

And the brother pretty much kept his mouth shut and got a shit ton of money. Glad to hear he is doing well.

Sometimes memory is more fun, and better then google ;)

Also, not going to hate on Tori, migraines are a total bitch. I have only had one, and begged hubby to drill a hole in my head, ot let out the pain. Thankfully he didn't.

  33. Candy said she DID watch the show last week in a different interview. She's promoting her book now piggybacking off Tori's scandal right now. I think Dean cheated, but the name has been changed for the girl.

  34. We all know how to tell when Candy is lieing, her lips are moving. (Surprisingly she can still move hers)

  35. Supposedly AAron was suffering dementia for several years before he died. I'm not sure that Candy kept people away because of she's manipulative or because of AAron's condition. As for money, Spelling Entertainment used to be a public company and filed reports on related party transactions. As I recall Tori was making roughly $2.5MM a year from 90210 alone circa 1997-1999. Obviously there are taxes. agent fees etc. but there would also have been other income from appearances etc. Yes, she could have spent it all but it is unlikely that her accountants wouldn't have maximized retirement savings and other tax shelters. I do find it interesting that Candy bought them a house, because they clearly don't own a house now. Where did the cash go?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sorry, I just have never understood why people think Candy has to give Tori her money. Tori has her own money, and continues to earn. And she's an adult. I haven't asked my mother for money in prob 25 years. She has her own money, raised and supported us, and should just go enjoy herself now.

Candy and Aaron were married almost 40 years, and Aaron only started becoming successful around the same year he married Candy. Spelling Entertainment was not formed until 4-5 years after they got married. So the money was Candy and Aaron's both, and if she was a gold digger, then she must have had a really good crystal ball.

This is just family crap, playing out to the media because Tori has been so vocal about it all.

    1. Just- i dont think anyone is saying candy has to give her money, just stfu about her and tori's relationship.

  37. In one of Tori's books she said that she and her brother each got $800k when their dad died. I believe the brother has confirmed that.

Tori's mom loaned her the money to buy a house. She and Dean were unable to repay the loan because their previous house was sold at a loss. They lived in the house for a bit but soon it was too small because the babies kept coming. That house was sold (at a loss) and so now they rent.

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Just, I don't think Candy should give her money, what I am saying is, they have a hard relationship.

    A very hard relationship.

  39. Ironic that the mom goes on talk show and then complains about her daughter being a fame whore. Why would you go on talk show if not in the business promoting something??? Sounds like mom and daughter have something in common- fame whoring.

  40. Sorry folks, I was just responding to the posters above that said Candy should give her money. Not the people that just think they're messed up. ;)

  41. I hope at least this stingy old bat has put aside trusts for those adorable grandkids. They'll soon be needing extensive therapy.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree w/ Enty's comments. Tori is basically a spoiled brat. Aaron should have never given her the job on 90210. It went to her head that she was beautiful, and and actress, and she is neither. She still loves and craves the attention, and has stooped to this pathetic scheme.

Someone needs to write about the last years of Aaron's life. Yes, Candy was cheating with Mark Nathanson, but did Aaron know or not? Candy openly was shown with Nathanson in Randy's very short lived reality show "Sons of Hollywood." Tori had shut out her family, and was pimping her family by playing a Tori character with a rich mother on an MTV scripted show. Aaron's nurse then sued him, saying he came on to her. What was going on in these years?

This latest show is just an embarassment - Saint Tori trashing and humiliating Dean as much as possible. FOR WHAT? Either get a divorce or shut up and work on your marriage. Her poor, humiliated kids.

  43. Tori has said in the past when she was on 90210 when all her costars were buying houses and investing their salary she was at bergdorfs. And barney buying $5k sweaters. She was always spending as soon as she got it. She put herself here. Bag. Isn't suffering.
Ian ziering. Isn't suffering. She dug her own grave
