Chris Brown Is In Federal Custody

I don't think there will be a need for each and every one of you to complete a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse but Chris Brown is still being transported by US Marshals to Washington DC where he is going to face a trial for misdemeanor assault. I wish they had done something like this with Lindsay Lohan. Instead it is Chris Brown who is being transported in full shackles aboard a plane that is going to make numerous stops before it arrives in Washington DC. The thing is he will probably get some type of plea deal so I don't expect to see him serving any jail time. He might even go to trial and get a not guilty plea and then nothing will be done in LA. At least though maybe this is an eye opener for him because he is being transported with some people who probably make Scared Straight look like Vacation Bible School. OK, I don't know that but I watched Con-Air a lot so that is how I'm guessing it will be.

Even if he is not sentenced further, I am glad he spent some time behind bars even if it was OJ justice.

Those other guys probably love him.

Enty, you're en fuego this morning - Fugitive/Tommy Lee Jones reference, then the Vacation Bible School bit - pure gold, dude.

I don't like Chris Brown but this is a travesty of justice. All this for misdemeanor assault? The inequity is so far over the top, its no wonder African Americans feel under attack. SMH.. :-\

US Marshals for a misdeamor assault? Damn, I hope that's a joke because otherwise, I would be pissed off if my taxes were used like that (luckily I'm not American and I don't give a f word, but still).

I absolutely don't know any details in this case, but don't get all worked up - that's what U.S. Marshalls do - they transport prisoners. I can't imagine there's some huge inequity going down here, not because inequities never happen, but because this is a high-profile person, and the Marshalls know good and well that they'll be scrutinized.

I'm no fan of Chris Brown or his behavior, but this truly is misuse of public safety officers and excessive force exhibited. They aren't beating him, but the way they are handling him for MISDEMEANOR is outlandish.

And I'll add that Marshalls are probably involved because interstate travel/prisoner transfer is involved.

Ahhh.. duh. Yes. Good point, fru.

I read US Marshalls and automatically thought of Raylan Givens. Yeah I probably do watch too much TV.

The guys who get transported on those planes hate it. Their schedule is hectic and unpredictable. They miss meal times everywhere they land, and will go a day or more without eating. Once they land, they go through a horror of security to get to a temporary cell, only to get dragged out 2 hours later to start all over. I couldn't wish it on a nicer guy.

How else is he going to get to DC? Are felons (for the Rihanna beating) generally trusted to travel on their own?
Stop overusing the race card.

Good point Fru, I forgot he was a felon too... SMH over me....

True that Frufra. They are probably going to say it was a safety issue or some shit too. Unless Enty is insinuating that CB is somehow cutting a deal with the Feds and trading info....

I think it is because he is still in custody from the other whatever it is - probation violation? If he's in custody until his trial, it just makes sense that they're going to transport him that way. And while it is a trial for a misdemeanor, this does wigh more heavily because of the felony charge from RiRI. If he is found guilty, he will serve additional time from that incident.

We should all be so lucky to be transported by Raylan Givens.

Hahahahahhahahahahhaha

I love this.

Seems like a waste of tax payer money to transport him at govt expense- especially for a misdemeanor which will plead out. Given his assests I hope there is some provision for billing him for the trip.

This is why you do not commit crimes in multiple states.

Gawd, I loved "The Fugitive" - because of Tommy Lee Jones. He had such great lines to say. Thanks for reminding me of that, Enty!

Marshalls are responsible for the transfer of inmates. If he's not on Con Air, he's in cuffs in coach with Marshalls as seat mates.

I heard that there's more to his previous antics and that's why he's getting this treatment. Hard to sad face for him, but other worse folks roam free and that's sadder. I volunteer to round those up, tho. If this is just strictly on what we know about him, then I have to wonder why so much is being done...hmmm.

I still on the 'believe he was set up' train. He must've seriously pissed off the big guys for all this not to have gone away.

Others have done far worse and are roaming free ...

I really hope he turns himself around after this. It's just so stupid for him to keep assaulting people -- he's young, successful, rich, good looking, had tons of fans. You've made it, dude, stop acting like you're living in a dystopian movie from 30 years ago!
