Brittany Murphy's Final Trailer

I know it is just a trailer and it often contains the best moments of the film and the best performances. Maybe it is because Brittany Murphy has been gone so long now, but she looks damn good in this and it is a shame that she died. The last few performances she gave in movies were some of my favorites of her career and I think she was really coming into her own. Something Wicked looks like it deserves a wider release than just some theatres in the northwest.

Love Brittany but her last performances were AWFUL (awful films to begin with). RIP Brit.

I thought the last thing she did was Abandon, it was a bad cable movie with Dean Cain. The public tends to forget that when she looked really bad was when she played a drug addict prostitute in "The Dead Girl".

The only good performance in Girl Interrupted was Brittany's. Then Angelina wins a fucking Oscar?!!? That was the beginning of her downward spiral. Blonde, anorexic, half crazy. Still, a better actress than Angelina with all her pain and problems. Her mother was a narcissist and that killed her freedom so it's no wonder she began building her own.

i agree about 'girl interrupted.' jolie is a terrible actress. bad movie. i did like brittany in 'the dead girl.' i thought she was heartbreaking, and yes, she looked like shit but that was part of her role in the movie. she was good.

RIP I hope keeping it on the shelf all these years was out of respect and not because the movie is bad.

It's kind of disturbing to hear her say "there's something evil in this house" after both she and her husband died mysteriously within months of each other in their house. I still don't buy that she just randomly got pneumonia. At the very least, no one, mother included, took her to the hospital to save her life. Evil indeed.

Heartbreaking, especially when you know what kind of mother she had.

@ Eliza, I enjoyed Ramen Girl too. Just saw it on cable a few weeks ago and it was surprisingly good.

Such a tragic loss of life :( The very last thing I saw Brittany in was the phenomenal and insanely disturbing Indie flick The Dead Girl and she, along with the rest of the incredible cast-Kerry Washington, Rose Byrne, Marcia Gay Harden, Toni Collette-was a total revelation. It's so sad to think that her heart wrenching performance in it (2006) was filmed so close to her death. It really makes you wonder how close her character was to her as a person in real life, and also just how many more wonderful performances she had left in her. I highly recommend it if you guys haven't seen it but I warn you: It is a TOUGH watch. RIP.

This movie looks truly terrible. I can't wait to see it.

I forgot about the Dead Girl! She did deem to get some of her anger out , albeit with her character still sacrificing herself in self destructive ways. The characters she chose were always somehow abandoned , neglected and with her working so hard for approval to meet somebody else's standards while feeling worthless and yet determined, or least of all hopeful.

I also liked The Dead Girl and Ramen Girl. I think we'll take in Something Wicked, my happy moment of the day, Younger Godson was bummed it wasn't Macbeth; so he recites the passage, then says he would like to see it anyway, because he thought that he could see how you could use the theme in the plot line he saw in the trailer. I think he would be a damn better film producer than most of the ones working today. (Biased opinion.)

really loved this girl and many of her performances mentioned above

something about her drew you in

very disturbing circumstances surrounding her death-I still think something is up with all of that. don't know how her and her husband could die that close together of the same thing.......weird

AJ was good in Girl Interrupted........but still not a big fan of hers.....she does not draw you in

Jen - She didn't "just get pneumonia." She developed pneumonia, but due to her narcotic use, she wasn't coughing up the junk in her lungs and didn't seek proper medical attention. Her husband died of the exact same thing 6 or so months later.

Sad all around.

Bellaluna, was she smoking something? I don't know much about meth, crack, etc what's the real deal with her death? She will always be Tai in the overalls and crooked breadstick. So sad.

Her mother was a mooch who thought she deserved to be taken care of and wasn't ever going to leave Brittany or her money and fame, even if it meant sharing her with another mooch that Brittany had to take care of. At the end of the day they were so hopeless they couldn't help Brittany when she needed help, or even help out each other. Brittany was a true talent and the two people who should have loved and cared about her dragged her down and ruined her. Every time you see Brittany in something, you realize how talented she was, even with crap material she was so good she elevated whatever she was in. I hope in the hear after she is able to elude her mother and "husband" to find some peace. They gave her none in life.

Well the new owners obviously thought something might be up with it as they're essentially demolishing it and building new. Just the frames were standing last time I saw it.

Britney Spears lived there before Brittany Murphy and never had any problem.

Brittany, for me, will always be remembered as Lisa in Drop Dead Gorgeous. A seriously funny and highly underrated movie IMO.

She was a pretty talented actress and it still makes me sad that she died the way she did. If only she had the strength to shake those greasy moochers.
