Instead of celebrating their induction to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, the group has chosen to remain divided and continue their three decade animosity towards each other. Because no one could decide on a lineup to play at the induction ceremony, KISS has decided not to play at all.
“It is over 13 years since the original lineup has played together in makeup and we believe the memory of those times would not be enhanced. To bring this to a quick end, we have decided not to play in any line-up, and we will focus our attention on celebrating our induction into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.”
Apparently Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley didn't want to play if it meant including Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. They wanted the performance to include Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer. The announcement was made yesterday to skip the whole thing so people wouldn't waste their money buying tickets to the show thinking the band was going to play.
