Conrad Murray Is Out Of Jail

Dr. Conrad Murray was released from jail this morning. He finished serving a two year jail sentence in the death of Michael Jackson and it seems like his trial took longer than the actual sentence. He was sentenced to four years in jail and only had to serve about half that and complained every second if it. Murray is now free to do whatever he wants again and is seeking to have his medical license restored because there are probably lots of people out there who would love to say Michael Jackson's doctor is their doctor even if he did kill the guy.

Murray is also free now to make as much money off the death of Jackson as he can and he probably will start really soon. I think he is hoping to start up his harem again so he can have a reality show. I'm not sure anyone will be interested in buying that show though. A book maybe, but a reality show seems a bit much. It would be a show about a guy who got famous for killing someone else.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Jacksons go after him and find something to sue him for. Jermaine needs some new super hold gel for his hair.

Murray will have lots of insider dirt about Jackson and there will be an international audience for that. Just think of the Albert Goldman books about Elvis Presley, John Lennon, et al.

My daughter's under-10 generation loves Michael Jackson's look and his music and seems generally immune to any discussion about how he lived his life.

We may end up with a JFK situation surrounding MJ...people know all about his many private misdeeds, but lionize him anyway.

If I were him, I'd try to find a new life south of the border or some other 3rd world country.

Murray is a smart guy, a piece of shit but a smart guy. He will monetize his killing of Michael Jackson into the millions by way of books and paid appearances and whatever else he and his team can come up with. He's going to be a rich guy.

Well put Nutty. I still hold to the adage that a dead arsehole is still an arsehole.

At least his patients will know he has no qualms handing out erroneous scripts for all the good drugs.

@Nutty_Flavor - the kids in my son's school seem to love Michael Jackson, too. I like your term "lionize."

Geez, enty, tell us how you really feel. First of all, I dont agree he is totally responsible for Jacksons death. Michael was as addict. Second, if he wants to doctor poor people for free, its hard to say no to that. But if license lost, thats the end of it.

I'm with Aunt Liddy. Michael was pretty much the architect of his own death - it was no secret he was an addict, and had been doctor shopping for years. Conrad Murray had the misfortune to be there when Michael finally died, and was hung out to dry. None of the other doctors who had given him Propofol or Demerol in the past were ever charged.

@Surfer
Yes ! MJ was a brilliant artist but he was absolutely an addict with many issues. The big problem is, Murray assisted him with his addiction by giving MJ whatever his heart desired.
Murray and the rest of the Drs were too starstuck to say NO to him. Being a Dr means doing no further harm to the person they are treating. Obviously that went out the window when dealing with the rich and famous.

I guess I'm somewhere between auntliddy/surfer and AJ - MJ was responsible for his own death but greedy doctor enablers should be punished after the wreck- I think his time in prison is enough and taking away medical license is enough though - Personally I hope he does have dirt on jackson's and spills it.

Agree with Aunty. Mj wanted his drugs, was a powerful star, murray didnt introduce him to shit. He was hired to help him do the tour, jackson said i need something stronger to sleep and ended up sleeping his way to a dirt nap. The end. Murray couldnt have said no and kept his job. Not his fault.

@Anna It's like a runaway train once the addiction gets to that point, I guess. I know it's not Murray's fault that MJ was an addict. I'm just surprised any Dr would stand by and let someone abuse that sort of drug.

My mother was on the same thing when she was dying in ICU from cancer to keep her comfortable and sedated while on a ventilator. It's some seriously strong stuff.

Seeing that drug used first hand always made me upset when I heard how MJ was abusing/using it.

Oh, He'll make money alright. The Jackson estate will pay him very well to keep those secrets.
And if a book does come out he had better watch his back.
Jackson was responsible for his own lifestyle and situation. Murray was responsible for aiding that lifestyle.

Don't blame it on the sunshine
Don't blame it on the moonlight
Don't blame it on the good times
Blame it on the propofol

I'm glad he's released from being scape-goateed for Jackson's death. Now as for his medical license, it needs to be forever revoked if it isn't already.

He was a scapegoat. MJ caused his own death. Stop looking for excuses. Hope Conrad makes millions and waves it in the Jackson's faces.

He didn't kill anyone. When heroine addicts die you don't say that their drug dealer killed them. He was a drug dealer, that's all. He didn't "kill" anyone. MJ did that to himself.

No one forced Michael to take the pills and drugs, he did it to himself. Conrad was just the vehicle to get the drugs, he would have gotten them regardless. What Conrad did was wrong and I am glad he got some punishment, but he didn't kill Micheal, he killed himself each time he took his drugs.

Sorry, I look at it as pure medicine. First do no harm. There are plenty of patients who want something bad for them, you refuse. If he gets to practice again it'll be somewhere else, and I pity any unknowing patients he may have.
