Blind Item #3

This A-/B+ list mostly movie actor is very well known and has close to A list name recognition. Great actor, but not that great of a person. His wife leaving him has really put him on a downward spiral. At what was supposed to be a meeting that could make him A++ list after such a long career, our actor blew off the first two appointments because he could not talk himself into leaving his coke. He finally showed up at a third appointment and was such a mess that there was no way anyone was going to offer him the part. The part requires someone to be in good health and looking good and that is not our actor.

  4. Please, please, please be Brolin for the Batman role in the Superman sequel.

He's a good actor, but the stories I keep hear about him (including numerous sources beyond CDAN), I think Snyder can do better in casting this role.

My vote is for Richard Armitage. No one else supposedly being considered is blowing up my skirt.

    1. Omg Richard Armitage is so hot, love him since he was on Vicar of Dibley. Is he really in the running for the role?

  6. According to Hollywood Reporter,Josh Brolin is really the frontrunner to be the new Batman and Warner Bros loves him so either the rumors on him are bullshit or Snyder&co are idiot or crazy

  7. Surely it's Josh Brolin. I see everyone here has the same idea.

Of course it's bullshit. Most of the stuff that Enty writes is but we still like to guess.

I've read the script isn't even ready and no offers have been made yet.

  9. I'd hate to see Brolin as Batman. Would be as bad as Clooney.

  10. They're also saying Ryan Gosling and the werewolf from True Blood are up for the part. My money's on Armitage. Brolin has Superman looks and a crappy reputation, he won't pair well with Cavill.

  11. He was so good in MIB 3. It's too bad he's such a dick.

  12. No one should hire Brolin for anything. Who pays money to see him?

      Exactly!!
(But if he is cast as Batman, I will have to--and that pisses me off)

  13. I will be seriously bummed if they cast Brolin as Batman.
    Ugh.

  14. Brolin is barely 5 feet tall with an enormous head. He is a pig.

  16. I don't care who is Batman, as long as it isn't Ryan Gosling.
As for Brolin, if this blind is him, he needs to straighten his act out. Seriously. Way too much negative stuff going around about him.

  17. Daniel Radcliffe for Dr. Who

I'm kidding, I know he's not married and I hear he limits the blow to an 8-ball a day. It's all about moderation, people.

  18. @ Carolyn, yeah, the movie was directed by Joel Schumacher and is most famous for the nipples on the batsuit.

Gahhh!! The nipples!! Batman shouldn't have nipples!

  19. Based on previous blinds, they should have told him there would be a woman at the meetings that he could rough up and threaten- he would have shown for sure!!

  20. I don't know how old he is but Josh Brolin looks like he's at least in his mid 40's. Aren't superheroes supposed to be young men, 30 tops? In Men in Black 3 when Will Smith asked him his age & he answered 29 I laughed. He was 29 maybe when Bill Clinton was president.

    What about Russell Crowe...

  22. Gosling is good actor but he might make an even worse Batman than Batman and Robin. And that was like cinematic HIV

  23. Brolin is a coldness ragesholic who beat the shit out of Diane Lane onore than one occasion. I hope he ODs

    1. @Count, I had him young, but it makes me feel old (and ridiculously happy) watching him enjoy all the same movies I loved at the same age.

  26. Brolin would be bad, and not just because he's a terrible person. I want Armitage too (who actually looks like a tall, older Radcliffe).

While I love Gosling, he doesn't yet have the gravitas, so pairing him with Cavill in this film would make it Callow Central. But Armitage might make Cavill butch it up a bit.

  27. Brolin is a good guess. I know folks who have worked with Crowe (musically) and they think he's a great and kind guy. He gets a bad rep in HW though cause he doesn't play the game or suck up to the establishment.
I was thinking Laurence Fishburne. Didn't he get restraining order recently?

  28. Richard Armitage is so good looking, he mad dwarves sexy. That's hot. Fricking Hobbit.
